Hello everyone! Ive updated the first chapter so its much neater and tidier and now I present to you the second chapter! Once again please read, review and enjoy!:)
"So where are you from?" Blaine asked politely, wishing hed have at least combed through his messy curls, the boy was so neat and hadnt a single hair out of place.
They looked such a perculiar pair, Kurt had noticed, he sat in his new Marc Jacobs shirt with fitted black trousers and tightly laced cream boots and across from him sat what can only be described as a Greek God. His thick, raven tousled locks were beautiful, his skin an olive hue and marvelously warm hazel eyes that insulated him to the very core.
His attire was somewhat shabby but his apron fitted tightly over his toned waist and his sleeves pushed up in a carefree manner made Kurt question every life choice he once had. He wondered what the other boy had seen in him in the first place, sure his outfit was red carpet worthy but he always thought he looked too plain to be looked at the way he was looking at him.
He made no mistake about that, he was naive when it came to flirting but the baritsa looked at him as if he were the only person in the shop and it made him feel so special. Everytime he caught his longing stare his body shook wih nerves and his pulse raced, he melted into those kind hazel eyes and wondered what on earth was there to stare at. His personality was so playful which he found so attractive, he knew there couldnt be much awkwardness because it was like theyd instantly clicked.
"Lima in Ohio, not the most glamourous places. The most glamour you get in Lima is when I make an appearance" Kurt chuckled, sparking a laugh from the other boy that was positively heartwarming, iliciting a soft glow within himself.
"I can imagine, I wondered what you were doing in here with such fabulous fashion taste. Im guessing you probably work in the fashion industry?" Blaine asked, studying his outfit once more, he looked absolutley sensational and he could not tear his eyes away from how his shirt fitted so tightly over his torso and wondered what lay under it.
"Thank you, Im flattered. I do actually, or I will be soon. I start an internship for Vouge very soon" Kurt explained, feeling a little down that a year ago hed have wanted to be saying he was starting at NYADA but Rachel had come out on top. He still felt cheated by Carmen Tibedeux, hed done the audition complying by the rules and managed to smash it, yet Rachel had hounded her until she had to give in and come to Nationals. And no, he wasnt bitter at all.
"Thats awesome! Im sure theyll love you, obviously youll fit right in. Im actually from Ohio too, Westerville" Blaine smiled, he found it so strange that they had been brought up in the same city but had only met once theyd left and tried to head on to bigger things, he didnt ever believe in fate but maybe the universe was trying to pull them together, in what way he didnt know.
But just together, as if they had always meant to meet. He never believed in love at first sight, but he did believe there was always a person you just clicked with, like hed been living in a cloud of darkness and hed walked in, bringing such a dazzling glow of light. He knew exactly what the feeling was, hed felt once before but he refused to think about that now.
That was locked away in the back of his mind never to be freed, he wasnt allowed to feel these things no matter how innocent it seemed. He knew if the other boy didnt stop nibbling his lip, looking at him with those wide eyes hed abandon any innocent intentions he had.
"I bet you were one of those upper class Dalton Academy boys, I always wanted to join their Warblers, they made glee club sound cool and respected" Kurt chuckled remembering the sharp slap of slushie on his face for just being in glee club. It was all worth it, he would always value the people he met there and how he knew theyd always be people hed cherish. He missed them, especially Tina, Brittany, Puck and even Santana, though he wouldnt miss her constant snide insults. Hell, hed even miss that.
"Guilty as charged, I was the coolest Warbler dont you worry about that. Well at least we can agree on something, making Vocal Adrenaline cry was one of our lifelong dreams" Blaine laughed, his old Warbler days fresh in his memory. Though he had stolen almost all the solos he wished he still kept in contact with some of them, like Wes and David.
The only Warbler who ever contacted him was Sebastian Smythe and he thought he was the slimiest, sickening person hed ever met. Hed leer and prey over all the students, and it seemed they were more than happy to oblige. Hed never been tempted once by him, it would be like having sex with a pompous brat.
"God Id be happy to bathe in Jesse St James tears the day we won Nationals, he was such a bastard. I cant believe Im talking to a former show choir Warbler" Kurt smirked, playfully.
"Well Im flattered, Im sorry I pretty much hounded you when you first walked in, its just that you looked so lost and needed to see a friendly face" Blaine apologised, he couldnt tell Kurt the actual reason being he could just stare at his perfect self for hours.
"Dont apologise, Im actually so thankful that you did as I really am lost, I just got here about an hour ago" Kurt smiled, thinking that he would never meet such a gentleman like Blaine in his whole lifetime.
"Youll love it here, its gonna be tough at first being new to the city and trying to fit in but trust me, with your look New York wont know whats hit it" Blaine chuckled, gently.
Hours ticked by and the more Blaine knew about Kurt, the more invested he became. He learned that he was a brilliant performer but had always been overshadowed, which confused him as Blaine felt surrounded by a shadow until Kurt walked in. He learned that they both loved musicals, Kurt loved the classics like Wicked and anything that featured Judy Garland, whilst he enjoyed West Side Story and all the Star Wars movies.
He let Kurt confide in him about the horrendous harrassment he recieved in high school for being gay. As well as being furious at the torture Kurt recieved, as soon as he heard the word gay his stomach started to flutter. His mind started to allow himself to feel things again that he wasnt allowed to feel. He wanted to tell Kurt about his experiences but he felt saying them out loud would only bring the reality that it actually had happened.
Kurt couldnt believe how much he trusted Blaine, even if he was a stranger. Well he couldnt exactly call him a stranger now, there was so much he knew about him. He was refreshing. He hadnt even noticed that theyd been sat there gazing deeply into each other for almost five hours when he looked out the window and saw the sky was a thick ebony colour, just like Blaines beautiful curls.
"Looks like youll be locking up then Blaine, see you tomorrow buddy and you newbie" Sam called, putting on his coat and winking at Blaine, aware of what the look in Blaines eyes meant.
"Wow it is late, doesnt feel like Ive been sat here for more than an hour. Its been great you know, Ive really enjoyed talking to you Kurt" Blaine blushed and looked down at his hands, he couldnt quite stop the hot blood from rushing to his cheeks whenever he looked at Kurt.
"I feel the same way, its like Ive known you for years. I better try and find where I supposedly live now which probably could take a while, knowing my poor sense of direction" Kurt replied, not wanting to leave the warm, golden light of the coffee shop and the smoldering hazel gaze of the man opposite him.
"I cant really let you go out there when its this late and you dont know where you are. How about I walk you home, if you tell me where it is?" he suggested, not wanting Kurt to become lost or even worse.
"That would be lovely, thank you so much"
As they walked through the breezy night air Blaine felt so content with Kurt by his side. He never felt this comfortable with a person and he liked it, he felt he could start to trust a lot more people who came into his life.
"Looks like we live in the same building" Blaine chuckled, walking up the stairs and feeling so excited that Kurt would always be close. He thought after the coffee hed never see Kurt again, and it was magical that he most definitely would.
"This is me, 31A, thank you so much for being here for me, not many people would act like a perfect gentleman to a complete stranger" Kurt stammered, nerves building up tightly in his stomach, so much so he could hardly speak.
"Its been a pleasure, I assure you. Youre not a stranger, not anymore" Blaine smiled softly, seeing Kurts eyes twinkle in the darkly lit hall. For a crazy moment, they both stared at each other longingly and before his senses came back he found his body starting to lean towards Kurt.
"I guess Ill be seeing you around?" asked Kurt, the same way Blaine had asked if his coffee was to go. It was sort of a code for please dont go.
"You bet. You have a nice night now. Goodnight Kurt"
"Goodnight Blaine" Kurt softly whispered, which almost drove Blaine wild. It took all the strength he had to tear himself away after he watched Kurt step inside.
Blaine knew, Kurt would never be a stranger to him again.
