The song that was used is called Kaleidoscope by Joe Brooks. You should go listen to him and all of his other songs. Definitely worth it!
Blaine waited out the front of his house for Kurt to come pick him up for school. It was freezing but his Mum was already angry enough at him for being home so late the night before without even calling. He heard the engine from Kurt’s bike round the corner and his face instantly lit up.
As soon as he’d got home last night he couldn’t stop thinking about what this meant. Were they together now or was that nothing more than just a simple kiss? It didn’t feel simple, it felt like a huge milestone in his life, something he would never forget. There’s nothing simple about that.
Kurt parked right in front of Blaine and any doubts he seemed to have were washed away as soon as he looked into those cerulean eyes.
“Your helmet.” Kurt offered to Blaine.
Blaine took the helmet in his hands and couldn’t help but smile. He sat down behind Kurt but before he got the chance to put his helmet on Kurt spun around, grabbed in by the back of his neck and pulled him in for a rough kiss.
It was nothing like the one they shared the night before. This one was heated, full of passion. Kurt’s tongue was fucking in and out of Blaine’s mouth and he couldn’t help the soft moan that escaped his throat. The kiss slowed down and as Kurt pulled back he sucked on Blaine lower lip and nibbled on it before letting go completely. On one hand Blaine wanted to grab him and never stop kissing him but on the other, he was glad they stopped, otherwise Blaine would be having to fight off quite an embarrassing hard-on before they got to school.
“I’ve been waiting to do that all morning.” Kurt whispered against his lips. He then grabbed Blaine’s helmet and put it on for him before turning back around and heading off to school.
When they arrived, practically everything was the same as it usually was. They walked through the hallways with Kurt’s arm around his waist, glaring at anyone who throws a disapproving look their way, stops off at Blaine’s locker first and then make their way to Kurt’s where they meet up with the other guys.
Kurt instantly let go of his waist and went over to ‘bro-hug’ Puck. Sam sidled up to his side and Blaine finally took his eyes off of Kurt’s perfect ass in those sinfully tight black jeans.
“So you two seem to be getting along again.” Sam commented.
“Yeah, we are. We really, really are.” Blaine looked back over to Kurt with what he was guessing was some sort of dreamy expression if Sam’s next sentence was any indication.
“Oh my God,” He practically yelled, causing a few heads to turn. He then dragged Blaine away from the group and whispered into his ear. “You totally had sex with him didn’t you!”
“W-what? No, of course not Sam. We didn’t have sex, we just… we kissed.”
Sam looked down at him like he was looking at a five year old whom he was about to explain why he was in trouble.
“Blaine, look, I know you like him and all but you gotta be careful man. He sleeps with guys all the time and I don’t want you to become just another one of his fucks.”
“Sam, I get you’re worried but you have nothing to worry about. I know what I’m doing so thanks but I really don’t need your help.”
He then turned and walked away, back over to where Kurt was standing with Puck and Finn. It wasn’t that he was mad at Sam at all, definitely not, he was just worried that maybe he was right. What if Kurt was just looking for some sort of friends with benefits deal? Come to think of it, he’s never actually outright told Blaine he liked him at all, it was always just…implied. Oh God, what if he had been overthinking everything and making this all up in his head. He was such an idiot.
As he reached the other guys Kurt went straight over to him and planted a kiss on his cheek.
“Ready for class gorgeous? Because we both know how much Miss Hughes just loves having me in her first class in the morning.”
“Yeah, sure.”
He noticed Kurt look over at him but he ignored it and started walking without waiting for his friend. Because, you know, that’s all they were, friends, and that’s possibly all they were ever going to be.
“Blaine!” Kurt called out. He stopped so the other boy could catch up but then started walking as soon as he did. “What’s wrong? You were fine just before and now you can’t even look at me.”
Blaine just kept walking. He knew he was acting like a petulant child but he didn’t care. He felt used, like Kurt had taken advantage of him last night or something.
He felt Kurt grab onto his arm and spin him around just before he walked into their English classroom.
“Blaine, will you stop acting like a fucking five year old and talk to me?”
“You knew this wasn’t what I wanted. I didn’t just want to be another one of your fuck buddies and you knew that.”
Kurt actually looked confused and that, in turn, confused Blaine even more. Than understanding dawned on Kurt’s face and he sighed. “What did Sam say to you? I knew he was still pissed at me.” Without waiting for an answer and grabbed Blaine’s arm and started walking them down the hallway, outside and up the bleachers they sat on together those months ago.
He sat Blaine down on one of the higher seats and moved to sit right next to him, straddling the seat, his own knee knocking Blaine’s.
“Blaine I… I thought you know how I felt about you… feel about you.”
Blaine could tell Kurt was nervous. He always was when he was put into serious situations. If he was honest with himself though, seeing Kurt nervous actually calmed him down a little.
“Well, you’ve never really said it, I guess and Sam just reminded me of what I already knew.” He looked up at Kurt, into those eyes he always lost himself in and spoke so timidly that even he was surprised at how he sounded. “You don’t have boyfriends, Kurt, you just have sex with guys and I don’t want to be just anyone to you.”
Kurt turned his head and looked out over the field. He was thinking, or maybe he was remembering something but Blaine couldn’t tell what. He watched as a smile crept onto Kurt’s face and he turned back to Blaine and held his hands in his own.
“My Mum used to always tell me to not care what other people say and to do whatever makes me happy. I think she always knew I was going to be gay, both my parents did, and I think that’s what she meant, you know? That my life could be so much harder just because of who I’m attracted to. Well, the last few years haven’t been good. My Dad, he… he uhm…” Kurt was looking down as he spoke and Blaine knew he was obviously struggling. He squeezed the boys hand in what he hoped was encouragement and was rewarded with Kurt looking back up at him and smiling a little before continuing. “He Dad started drinking a lot when she died. He’ spent most of the last few years drunk and we’ve really suffered from it, you know? He’s doing better now but, it’s been hard. My life has been far from perfect and… I had no idea what happy feels like. Then one day, I rock up to school like every other day and there’s this guy, wearing a ridiculous bowtie and looking as cute as ever. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of him. Then he sang, then you sang, and I knew I had to talk to you.
Blaine had tears in his eyes at this point. He was still trying to process what Kurt had said about his Dad but that was almost forgotten with what was said next.
“I know things have been really up and down with us but, God, Blaine, I don’t what it is about you but you make me feel things. I just… need to be around you. I’m always thinking of you and you… you make me feel like I’ve done my Mum proud because I’m actually happy. You make me happy. You make me want to do better and you are so much more than just a quick fuck and I, I really want you to be my boyfriend. So will you? Be my boyfriend?”
Blaine couldn’t believe everything that was just said. He’d never felt so… wanted before. He knew he was blushing. He could feel how hot his cheeks were especially in the cold weather. He looked straight ahead, out to the football field with a gigantic smile on his face because someone actually wants to be his boyfriend. This amazing, caring and sexy guy actually wants Blaine to be his and he needed a moment to wrap his mind around that. He finally looked back over at Kurt and, placing a hand on Kurt’s leg, leaned in and slowly kissed Kurt’s lips. It was slow and chaste, just merely the press of lips. He leaned back a little, and against his lips whispered, “Yes. Yes, yes, yes, a million times yes.”
Before Kurt could reply, Blaine attached his lips back onto Kurt’s, kissing him in earnest. He couldn’t believe he was sitting there kissing his boyfriend! That was going to take some getting used to saying.
They stayed that way, kissing on the bleachers until the bell for class went. Kurt tried convincing Blaine they should skip for the day but after reminding him of how much trouble he was already in and, eventually, promising him many kisses later in return, Blaine was able to lead Kurt to class. That didn’t stop him from complaining the entire lesson though.
The rest of the day was spectacular in Blaine’s opinion. They walked around the school holding hands and after Puck threw his arm around Blaine neck, causing Kurt to become the possessive boyfriend (yes, Blaine was definitely loving using that word) he apparently was, Kurt had announced to Puck and everyone in ear shot that “Blaine Anderson is my boyfriend so none of you lowlifes better even think about touching him.” By lunchtime everyone in glee knew about it and wouldn’t stop asking Blaine questions.
Looking around the table, he zoned out and ignored his curious friends thinking about Kurt. Glee was still fun but it wasn’t the same without him there. He wanted Kurt to re-join the club but he didn’t know how to convince him. He didn’t want to become the pushy boyfriend but he knows how much Kurt loved being there, even if he would never admit to it.
It was the end of the day and they were at Kurt’s locker before he headed to the library and Blaine to glee. He figured now would be the best time to bring it up.
“Hey Kurt?”
“Mmm?”
“Why don’t you, uh… come to glee rehearsal today?”
He’d obviously caught Kurt off guard with that question as he quickly turned away from his locker to look at Blaine.
“Why the hell would I want to do that?”
Blaine knew this was going to be a tough challenge but he was determined to get Kurt back in that room where he was meant to be.
“Because you love it there,” He started as they began walking down the corridor. “and don’t deny it, I know you do.”
“Fine. So what, maybe I actually enjoyed it at one point but the people in there suck. They call themselves a family but they would have to be one of the most fucked up families ever. They don’t give a shit about anyone but themselves so why would I want to sit in a room with them every single day?”
“Oh come on, Kurt. You’ve never even given them a chance-“
“Yes I have! For two years I have and-“
“No. You haven’t. You complain that they don’t care, well when have you ever shown them that you do? You haven’t given them the chance to show you who they really are, just like you haven’t shown them who you are. Please just, come today, see how you like it and if you don’t want to come back then you don’t have to but I really want you to, and I think you do too.”
Kurt finally had nothing left to say so huffing in defeat he followed Blaine to the choir room. Kurt sat down next to Blaine and he watched as Kurt dumped his bag unceremoniously on the floor, crossed his arms over his chest and placed his feet on the back of the chair in front of him. Obviously he was going to make this as difficult as possible.
Rehearsal had actually been pretty fun. Mercedes and Santana did a duet together which had the whole room up and dancing, except Kurt. Blaine had tried to drag him up but it was obvious he wasn’t moving anywhere so he went and danced with Rachel instead. No one had any meltdowns and there was, for once, no fights or any drama at all. Still, Kurt just sat there, in the exact same position as when he first sat down, obviously trying to not enjoy himself.
Practice was coming to a close and Blaine knew that he had to do something if he wanted Kurt to stay. Which he did, he really did. So he decided on doing the one thing he knew he did best.
“Mr Schue, can I sing something?” He blurted out in the middle of the teacher’s sentence.
“Uh sure. Why not Blaine.”
He stood up and asked to borrow one of the guitars from the band members. He sat down on a stool in front of everyone and looked up at Kurt who was now looking at him with some intrigue on his face. Blaine smiled to himself, knowing that was at least a start. He strummed the guitar a couple of times before he started playing.
He hangs wind chimes from his ears
But I still can't tell which way his moods blowing
The shades of his eyes well don't
Let them fool you now 'cause naive is not his middle name
He's a kaleidoscope, a new shade for each new way
In which he draws you close and then stumbles on your name
He is a battlefield, except your fighting with yourself
To keep your heart of steel from melting to the ground
He is in a kaleidoscope
He is in a kaleidoscope
Blaine hadn’t looked anywhere but right into Kurt’s eyes since he started singing. He wanted him to know that this song was for him. He didn’t want to freak him out by singing a love song, no it was way too soon for that, but he wanted to do something, anything for him and this was the first song that came to mind.
Kurt looked so small and vulnerable while Blaine continued with the song. He looked like he was trying so hard to hold onto the walls he’d built around himself but was failing with each word Blaine sang.
Blaine finished the song and set the guitar down on the ground next to him. He looked up at Kurt and waited, waited for him to respond because so far everyone had been silent, obviously knowing something was going on between the two. Blaine had hoped he hadn’t gone too far but before he had the chance to question it any further, Kurt stood up and walked down the steps. He walked right over to Blaine and without a word pulled him in for a kiss. It didn’t last long, a few seconds at most, until Kurt pulled back and looked at Blaine.
“No one has ever… that was just…thank you.” Kurt spoke so only the two of them could hear.
“You’re welcome. So… does that mean you’ll stay?” Blaine asked hopefully.
Kurt sighed, all playfulness back. “Well I guess I have to now, if my not being here has caused you to stoop so low as to actually serenade me in front of everyone.”
“Says the guy who yelled to the entire school today that I’m yours and no one else’s.”
“Well that’s because it’s fucking true.”
“Uh guys… we’re still here.”
Trust Finn to break the moment. The boys turned to face the rest of the group and while Blaine blushed in embarrassment, Kurt smirked in amusement.
“Come on gorgeous,” Kurt started while pinching Blaine’s ass who yelped in surprise. “Let’s get you home before Mummy dearest gets angry for you being late again.”
XXXXXXXX
They’d been together officially for a week and a half now and things couldn’t be better. There had been a couple more awkward encounters with Burt, the worse one being one afternoon after school when the two boys were caught making out on the couch. Blaine had blushed and stuttered and escaped form the house as quickly as he could while Kurt smirked and laughed at his annoyed looking Dad. Blaine had pretty much sworn off entering the Hummel home again but had been easily convinced by Kurt to come over again. That’s how they ended up here, four days later, in Kurt’s kitchen baking a cake for Artie’s birthday the next day.
“I still don’t know how the hell you convinced me to actually bake with you, Anderson.”
Blaine rolled his eyes for the seventh (yes he had been counting) time that afternoon. Kurt wouldn’t stop complaining about the fact that they baking even though he’d yet to stop smiling since they started.
“Oh come on, Kurt. Admit it, you’re actually having fun.”
“No. I will not admit it because it’s not true.”
“Whatever you say…”
Blaine turned back around to the counter and scooped up a bit of cake batter onto his finger, turning back around again to face his boyfriend, he offered his finger to the taller teens lips, loving that he has someone he can do things like this with.
Kurt grabbed onto his wrist and sucked the digit into his mouth, swirling his tongue around Blaine’s finger and not looking away from Blaine’s eyes. Blaine gulped audibly and watched Kurt’s mouth. Something he thought was innocent had suddenly escalated and all he wanted was to be able to kiss Kurt.
He took his hand back and held around Kurt’s neck, pulling him in for a kiss. It was slow and chaste and utterly perfect like all their kisses were. Blaine felt Kurt swipe his tongue over his own lips and parted them in invitation. Kurt had him backed up against the counter and was kissing him dirtier than he ever had before.
He spun Blaine around so his back was flush against Kurt’s chest. Kurt had his hands wrapped around Blaine’s torso and stomach while he kissed up and down his neck, sucking little marks all over.
“God you’re gorgeous.” Kurt whispered into his ear. Blaine was feeling so much all over. He was definitely nervous. They hadn’t done anything like this before but the heat in the pit of his stomach was making him just as excited as he was nervous.
Kurt went back to kissing his neck but Blaine could feel one of his hands sneaking its way down over his stomach and under his shirt, rubbing soft patterns over his bare skin, right above his jeans.
Blaine was so hard at this point. As good as it all felt already, all he really wanted was for Kurt’s hand to slide down lower and that thought alone scared him. He was so tuned in to every little touch, every little kiss and movement from the boy behind him. He could feel his boyfriend hard behind him, against him, and it made him desperate for Kurt’s lips on his.
He turned his head to the side and brought one hand up to cup the back of Kurt’s neck. Kurt’s lips latched onto his own and he felt what could only be described as relief flow through him, like he’d been waiting for Kurt’s lips on his all his life.
Their tongues were practically fucking each other’s mouths and that’s when he felt Kurt’s hand lightly brush over his crouch. God that felt good. So much better than the first time they’d kissed in the parking lot. He slightly pushed his hips up into Kurt’s hand as encouragement and felt the other boy push back, giving Blaine the friction he was looking for.
Kurt pulls away from the kiss with a gasp, barely detaching their lips.
“Is… Is this okay? It’s not too much?”
“N-no, God no. Feels good.”
Kurt smirks back wickedly and watches as Blaine’s half-lidded eyes never leave his lips.
“Can I touch you, gorgeous?”
Blaine practically moans at the question and Kurt watches as Blaine’s head falls back onto his shoulder and a shiver goes through his body.
Blaine being into dirty talk is something Kurt files away for later.
“Was that a yes, baby?” Kurt asks as he begins to undo Blaine’s belt. He feels his head nodding against his shoulder but before he goes any further he needs to hear Blaine say yes. After what happened last time he needs to know that Blaine is okay with everything they’re doing.
“Blaine, baby. Talk to me, is this okay?”
Blaine turned his head into Kurt’s shoulder and started to kiss, lick and bite everywhere he could reach with his mouth. Making his way up to Kurt’s mouth again he replies. “Yes, please… please touch me. I want you to touch me.”
Finally getting a resounding yes, Kurt pops the button open from Blaine’s jeans and slowly pulls the zipper down. He wants to prolong this for as long as possible so he pushes his jeans down and begins to stroke him through his boxers, revelling in how hard the boy in his arms is.
At this point, Blaine is practically begging for more friction and god if that doesn’t do something to Kurt. Kurt who has, up till this point, paid no attention to the aching cock inside his own jeans. With the other hand not touching Blaine, he undoes his own jeans and pulls them down just a little, so they’re not in the way. He keeps his boxers on, not wanting to freak Blaine out, and faintly begins to grind against Blaine from behind.
Blaine can feel Kurt rubbing up against his ass and, yeah okay, that’s actually not too bad, it actually feels really good, but Blaine’s focus is pulled away from Kurt’s dick against his ass when he feels a strong, warm hand wrap around his cock. He gasps at the same time his hips buck up into the touch. He’s touched himself before (obviously) but god, he had no idea it would feel this much better when that hand was someone else’s. When that hand was Kurt Hummel’s.
He begins to rock his hips back and forth, in time with Kurt’s, whose movements have become stronger and faster. He whines a little when Kurt pulls his hand away only to watch as he licks his hand a few times and then returns to stroking Blaine’s cock. And yeah, that friction is so much better now.
Blaine feels so overwhelmed with everything. Kurt’s hand stroking his dick, Kurt’s own clothed cock rubbing against his ass and Kurt panting hotly right into his ear. Everything is so much he never knew he could feel and somehow not enough at the same time. He needs more, needs to be closer to Kurt. He runs his hand over Kurt’s free arm until he finds his hand holding onto his torso. He interlocks their fingers together and instantly he feels grounded, like Kurt is his anchor, grounding him and bringing them closer to one another like neither of them have felt before.
He turns his head and looks over at Kurt who looks just as scared as he was. He looks into his eyes and sees a lost boy who was fumbling around, screwing any guy he could, just for the sole purpose of coming. He can see it, how Kurt has never done this before, never actually been intimate with another man before. He can see that, in his own way, this is Kurt’s first time too.
They lean in at the same time and begin to kiss passionately. It’s not exactly heated or dirty but it’s so intimate in a way neither of them thought it could be. Kurt fastens his movements on Blaine’s cock and begins to rock into him harder. The kiss is broken but their lips barely part, breathing the same air and eyes closed, lost in the feeling of each other.
After a few more strokes, Blaine begins to come harder than he ever has before, all over Kurt’s hand and the Kitchen bench. He thanks whatever deity is up there that Kurt his holding him through this because there would be no way he would still be standing otherwise. He faintly feels Kurt still grinding against him until he freezes up and begins to shake a little. He feels a wetness from Kurt’s boxers against his ass and thinks that should be disgusting and not as hot as it actually is.
Somehow they both end up on the kitchen floor, Kurt lying on his back with Blaine lying over the top of him, boxers and jeans back on though still undone. They do nothing for a long time. They lie there, breathing almost in sync with one another, staring into each other’s eyes, trying not to fall asleep. Kurt reaches out and grabs Blaine’s hand, looking at it like its’ the sun. He brings it up to his lips and gently kisses his fingers and rests their intertwined hands on his chest.
“Hey gorgeous?”
“Yeah?”
“Unless we want to feed everyone your come tomorrow, we’re gonna have to get up at some point and make another cake.”
“Oh my god, Kurt!”
“Well I’m happy to put it in the oven still, I’ll eat it. I bet it’ll taste delicious…” He says, stretching the last word out as it rolls off of his tongue.
Blaine is shaking on top of him in laughter and as he looks up again, Kurt looks into those amazing, crinkled eyes and lets himself think, for the first time, that things might actually be okay.
