Author's Notes: Thank you so much for Reading. The story continues right where Second Chances left off.
"So are you naturally flawless or is it a vampire thing?" Blaine asked his fingers tracing squiggles into my chest.
"Both," I smiled, "scars do go away when we are turned but I never had any."
"I have tons!" Blaine exclaimed. I frowned looking at his soft tan skin seeing the bumps and lines that's outlined his skin. He lifted his arm and showed me a scar above his elbow, "My brother, Cooper, told me I could fly if I had an umbrella and a cape. So I did, I jumped off the shed and broke my humerus." He laughed. "And I have one on my leg that is shaped like a lightening bolt when he taught me how to ride my bike."
"You don't talk about him much." I said, he kinda shrugged.
"I'm not allowed too... well I wasn't allowed too." He whispered, "he's an actor now. He doesn't talk to us anymore."
"I'm sorry." I said.
"For what? You haven't done a thing." He said sitting up on his elbow to look at me.
"You have been through a lot and I'm well I just wish you didn't have to endure it."
"Well thank you. Words are much nicer then fancy clothes and nice cars." Blaine said lying back down on my chest.
"You can talk to me about it, I'm always here to listen." I pressed a kiss on top of his head.
Blaine was quite for a long moment absently rubbing his fingertips over my chest. "It wasn't always like this..." he said turning to lie on his back. His finger pointed to a scar across his stomach, "that was because I came home late," he pointed to another diagonal from it. "When I forgot to take out the trash. This one because he was mad, and most are from telling him to leave my mom alone. It really pisses me off that she stays with him. Eight years, I guess money can buy love. The more he hurts her the nicer things she gets. It use to be like that for me until." He took a breath, "he didn't need to be drunk to be an angry father."
"What about the night he kicked you out?" I asked softly.
"He just threw a bottle of beer at me, then threw me out the house. I was arguing with my mom because she wanted me to escort Quinn to the debutant ball next month. She kept asking why so I shouted because I'm gay. He heard and well..."
"I love you." I said after he didn't speak for a few minutes.
He yawned, "go to sleep dear." I commented. He shook his head no, "I'm not sleepy."
I gave him a wryly look, seeing his exhaustion in his eyes.
"Well, we can go grab some coffee, watch the sun rise." I suggested.
"That sounds perfect." He replied sitting up.
We got dressed and walked across the street enjoying the new java chip soy latte. We found a bench at the park about a block from from the coffee shop. Blaine sat close to me and sipped his coffee before yawning again.
"Blaine you didn't sleep last night," I commented taking his hand. "Are you feeling alright?"
"I'm okay, I promise." He smiled kissing me. He leaned his head on my shoulder and watched the morning unfold.
I was thrilled to see the sun after all this time. It peaked over the trees off in the horizon with ease. Feeling the sun tickle my skin, warming me from the outside in.
I took a deep breath smelling the sun in all its burning glory. Blaine jerked up right pulling me from this blissful exploration.
"Bla-"
"We should go." He stated standing up spilling his coffee on the ground.
"Blaine!" I stood stepping over his drink to walk to him. "What is it?"
"I just … umm.... " he stared into the street before some one honked and a black Mercedes Benz turned down the street. He took a jagged breath, "let's go home."
"Okay," I said confused, he stood petrified just starring at the busy street. "Blaine... Blaine?" I took his hand gingerly pulling him out his trance. He looked at me with wide eyes.
"I'm sorry what did you say?" He said.
I shook my head and pulled him along my side. Blaine seemed numb as we walked to the apt complex his face looked as if it were counting the breathes he was taking. Inside he kicked off his shoes and curled into a ball on the couch. I followed after him concerned. "Blaine what is it dear?"
"I don't know I just don't feel good. Can you just hold me for a while?" He requested in a soft voice.
I opened my arms and he crawled in to my lap and laid his head on my shoulder.
