Kurt was attracted Blaine he was lean handsome, and both the memory lost Blaine and the 16 year old Blaine were sweethearts. But he is married, and that poor man or woman is worried sick about him and there was nothing Kurt could do about it. It made him question every moment he spent with Blaine, especially the moments that made Kurt grow attached to Blaine's careless laugh and smile. Tina came in to the office and saw Kurt daydreaming.
"Go home Kurt," Tina said. Kurt looked up at her and yawned shaking his head no.
"I'm fine honestly," he said but Tina didn't believe him.
"Its slowed down enough I can handle, you can go home." She and Kurt stared at each other for a moment before Kurt complied. He turned off his computer and gathered his things.
"If you need anything just call." Kurt said before leaving. He took the short ride home in silence to tired to press a few buttons and turn the radio on. He walked into his home and saw Blaine watching TV absently playing with Rachel's hair as she slept in his lap.
He smiled when Kurt walked in making Kurt smile as well. Blaine grabbed a pillow and slipped it under Rachel's head as he move to greet Kurt.
"How was work?" Blaine asked softly taking Kurt's jacket to hang it.
"A blur, I just want to sleep." Kurt said. Blaine nodded and smiled.
"If you need anything call me." Blaine said watching Kurt walk down the hall. Kurt stopped and turned to Blaine, "come talk with me," Kurt said. Blaine grinned and followed Kurt to his room.
"Make yourself comfortable I'm just going to change." Kurt said stepping into his bathroom. He threw on a pair of sweat pants and removed his bakery polo leaving the undershirt on and stepping out of the bathroom. Blaine sat on the chaise looking up at the ceiling, he looked at Kurt and smiled.
"You smell amazing," Blaine said. Kurt laughed and shook his head.
"I smell like cake batter." Kurt said climbing into his bed, "come closer, I'm pretty sure I'm just going to fall asleep while you talk anyway." Kurt patted the bed and Blaine hesitantly climbed in it laying beside Kurt.
"Now that you have some memories I want to hear them." Kurt said. Blaine thought for a moment.
"What kind of things do you want to know?" He asked.
"Tell me about school or your parent, anything really I don't Mind." Kurt explained giving a short yawn afterwards.
"Well my dad is a defense attorney in Michigan, and my mom is a real state agent. I go to academy, which is just this really fancy school for the elite, I've had to take a test to get in. But I'm in the art honor society and jazz club. Well I was, I guess." Blaine said.
"What are your friends like?" Kurt asked sleepily.
"I don't have very many, well I only have one. His name is Charlie, he is older then me though so we only see each other at lunch and art class. He was a second year junior, so no one liked him because he bought his way through the school. And they can tell I'm gay even if I don't say anything. He didn't care, he didn't care about what people said and neither do I." Blaine said trailing off. He saw that Kurt was looking up at him eyes full of sadness.
"I'm sorry that happened to you. I had the same problems in the beginning but by junior year I had great friends, Rachel being one of them. Senior year ran for senior president and after a recount I lost by one point. It gets better Blaine. I mean I went to new York for culinary school spent a year in France and own the best bakery in all of Ohio. I'm best friends with a two time tony nominee."
"Rachel said I was an art collector so I must have a pretty kick ass life. If I'm doing what I love, then I must have done something right." Blaine said optimistically.
"You see. You said something about a brother?"
"Yeah my big brother Cooper. He is engaged and lives in Texas he is a casting agent. He is 16 years older then me when my parents were in high school they had him got married and just as they got the parent hood thing down he was starting high school, so they had me. He doesn't visit often." Blaine looked down at Kurt and saw his eyes flutter to sleep.
Blaine could have moved back to the living room or even his room but Kurt's soft snore held him captive as he shut his eye and took his nap.
