"Ok, give the phone to mommy. I love you too. Goodnight angel," Blaine said there was a moment of silence as Savannah ran the phone to her mother.
"Blaine," Quinn breathed into phone.
"I know baby, I’ll be home in a few days." Blaine said.
"I need you Blaine; I can't do this without you." Quinn answered.
"I know," he heard his son begin to cry.
"I have to go," Quinn said. The sound of Jacob crying grew as she walked down the hall. "I love you."
"I love you," Blaine said but heard the dial tone to fast.
Blaine closed his phone and slipped it into his pocket. He hated being away from his family.
"Excuse me," a tall man called Blaine's attention. Blaine turned around to see the man waving him over, "I need some help." The man stuttered.
Blaine gave people the benefit of doubt and calmly walked to the stranger.
"What is it sir," Blaine called before he was in a grabbing distance of the man.
"My daughter is in trouble, I just ask to use your phone, mine has died," the man said. Blaine reached into his pocket.
"Here you go, is everything alright with her?" Blaine asked but the man was busy dialing.
"Jessica I’m here, tell me where you are." His voice was weak with fear; Blaine took a few steps away to give him space. There were small ice patches all over the streets and sidewalk. Blaine took on a subtle pace while he waited for his phone. Blaine suddenly lost his footing and slipped, knocking his head against the concrete and blacking out.
