“Good eat Anderson. You know its been proven that two apples a day can lower your cholesterol by as much as 16%.” Brian Davis commented taking a seat with the group. He wore red running shorts and a white track shirt with red accents. Mike gave him a confused look as to who he was were as Tina rolled her eyes; Blaine filled her in on what he is doing to Glee practices. She was not particularly happy with him at the moment.
“I had no idea actually.” Blaine said. “My daughter forgot her lunch this morning so I gave her mine. This is just to hold me till I get home.”
“You have kids?” Brian said wide eyed. Kurt came in the same time the question as asked.
He approached the table and answered before Blaine could answer. “Two in fact, our daughter is 11 and our son just turned 7.” Kurt smile.
Blaine looked up and grinned at his husband who bent down to peck a kiss. “Rachel and I were in town, I brought you lunch.” Kurt explained to Blaine. Mike stood to give Kurt a hug and pull a chair over to join the group. Kurt put the take-out bag from Nothing But Noodle on the table.
“Kurt, your like psychic that were I went.” Mike said lifting the lid to his and Tina's lunch.
“I’m not lie to you, I saw you pulling out and craved their chicken shrimp alfredo.” Kurt said as he and Blaine dug in. “What were you all taking about, Blaine?” Kurt asked meeting brains eyes then shifting them to Blaine.
“Apples. Apparently they lower cholesterol.” Blaine said with his mouth full. He reached to the cup Kurt brought in with tea in it.
“Oh yeah they also lower the risk of asthma. That’s why I fed so many to Emily when she was pregnant with Kris.” Kurt said.
“Are you a health nut too?” Brian asked.
“No I watch a lot of Dr. Oz.” Kurt said in a teasing tone but his face didn’t match.
“Oh excuse me. Brian this is my husband Kurt. Babe this is Brian the new athletic trainer.” Blaine introduced them.
“Kurt is also Finn's step brother.” Mike added as Finn and Rachel came into the lounge. “The whole gang is here.” Finn said with a triumphant smile.
“No Brittana isn’t” Tina corrected with a smile.
“I’m confused,” Brian said staring at a very pregnant Rachel.
“We all went to high school together.” Blaine assured Brian.
“Yes we are Finchel” Rachel said as Blaine stood to give her his seat, “Kurt and Blaine at Klaine, Mike and Tina are Tike. And our good friends Brittany and Santana are Brittana.”
“It started as a joke but now that’s how we rsvp to luncheon these days” Finn said standing over his wife with his hands on her shoulders.
“Blaine, I’m stealing shrimp” Rachel commented picking up his fork to take a bite.
“I don’t mind,” Blaine said; she shrugged and took another one.
“Wow, I'm learning a lot today.” Brian said staring between the friends.
“Kurt and I came to see if you wanted to do your Broadway lesson before I have Kathryn. Its my favorite thing to do.” Rachel commented now digging around the bowl for shrimp fighting Kurt's fork for a piece of chicken.
“I want to say yes but I lost more then half the glee kids have athletic training afterschool ” Blaine's face fell as Brian's face went red.
“Oh Finn I have a bone to pick with you.” Kurt commented making Finn got wide eyed. he set his fork down and crossed his arms over his chest, “Since when do your boys need athletic training?”
“What are you talking about?” Finn said then turned to Blaine and Brian.
Blaine spoke first. “Sue has the cheerios out of glee 30 minutes for athletic training and the football players are out for a hour. I can’t do much if I have all the kids for 15 minutes.”
“They are with you in the morning Davis,” Finn said anger crossing his face.
“I was under the impression that you wanted two a days” Brian said making a conclusion.
“I thought I smelt failure.” Sue came into the office with her power shake.
“Hey coach.” Blaine said. Blaine was one of the few teachers that Sue actually liked. He reminded her a lot of her sister always seeing the good things even after her natural born rudeness.
“What’s with the loser gather?” She asked staring at each of the first generation of New Directions
“Just a coincidence I guess.” Tina said.
“Well Anderson I know your frolic with my former head cheerleader Santana Lopez, and her ditsy wife Brittany. Tell them I’m looking for a co-coach.”
“I will tell them right now. But I’m sure its Brittany your going to want to talk to, Santana is a full-time nurse.” Blaine said getting his phone to send a text to his bestie.
“Are you going somewhere coach?” Kurt asked.
“Porcelain, I have given over 25 years to cheerleading and I am nationally ranked #1 of the top ten of all time cheer teams. Without me this school would be nothing.” Blaine gave her a face seeing that his glee kids won nationals last year but Sue continued, “when I win this year I will hold a 10th consecutive win recorded. And I will retire.” Gasps left the table. Kurt couldn’t see a McKinley without Coach Sue or the flawless cheerios.
“Why do you want Brittany?” Blaine asked.
“I need to train her and if I leave with out an apprentice Schuester can hire any old bum of the streets. Brittany know how it fills to win. She also graduated from Ohio state as head cheerleader. She might not have the leader motivation found in Santana but the girl's got moves.” Sue said.
“She will be on the field at 3” Blaine confirmed putting his phone away.
“Good, Blaine I’m thinking about adding vocals to my performance the 5 cheerios in glee club can skip the athletic training but I need them singing and preforming and on my field by 4.” She said. Then walked out dramatically.
“Yeah same with my 8 in football. The 6 on the starting defense like can just eat, carb load on your watch. And Aaron and Jacob are in great shape, but if you can just have all of them dance a bit more.” Finn told Blaine.
Blaine couldn’t smile wider if he tried. “That’s great to hear. Kurt Rachel that would be a yes on Broadway next week.”
Brian sat back confused, “You know people in high places Anderson.” With that comment in the air Will walked in coming to refill his coffee he was stunned to see all his former students. “What’s going on guys.” He came to the table ignoring his need for coffee.
“Hey Mr. Schue.” Rachel said in a cheerful voice, “Kurt and I were just bringing our husbands some lunch”
“How sweet, hey Blaine did you hear the good news, I’m judging sectionals next month.”
“Time to break out the Journey collection” Finn joked. A myriad of laughter escaped the table.
“That’s cheep pandering, I'll just do some mash-ups” Blaine laughed patting Will on the shoulder.
“Ha ha ha guys very funny.” Will said with a smile.
“Mr. Schue I have coffee on fresh brew in my office you don’t have to drink that crap” Tina looked at the coffee machine that wasn’t really clean ever since Emma left.
“Thank you Tina.” He said honestly.
“Belle has a piano recital next weekend. Can you come?” Kurt asked Will.
“Of course I wouldn’t miss it for the world. And Finn don’t forget to swing by tonight and get the crib I got,” Will paused and looked to Rachel, ”No one ever tells me anything. What did you name her?”
“Kathryn Joan Hudson” Rachel said proudly.
“The crib I got Kathryn,” Will finished.
“I'll remind him," Blaine said. Will smile and left to the counseling office to get quality coffee.
“I feel like I’m interrupt.” Brian said.
“You think this is bad wait til Brittany and Santana come for these lunch surprises.” Kurt said. The bell rang interrupting what was a great lunch. Mike said bye to his friends as he and Tina walked out the room and down the hall. Finn bent down and kissed Rachel then put his hand on her tummy and sung softly, “You're having my baby, your the woman I love and I love what its doing to you.” She smiled and kissed him again.
Kurt put his arms around Blaine's neck to pull him in for a hug then whispered, “You didn’t loose anything. And he isn’t hot at all.” Blaine laughed and kissed Kurt softly.
“I'll see you at home.” He said. Kurt took Rachel's arm as the walked out the building.
“Quite the group of people you know. I feel like I just got the full Blaine story.” Brian said.
“Not hardly that’s just a average day.” Blaine said throwing out the pasta Rachel and Kurt finished. Blaine walked out the room not really caring what Brian had to say. He got his team back. He was going to see Brittany every day. Life did a total 180 from yesterday.
‘Hi Mr. Anderson.’ Three girls giggled and waved as Blaine gave them a warming smile.
Blaine walked into the choir room just as the bell rang 2:45. There were all 21 of his performers. “Mr. A we don’t have to train how did you talk coach Davis out of it?” Aaron said rushing up to Blaine as soon as he walked in.
“I talked to coach Hudson he told me to make sure you boys dance more. And cheerios you don’t have to train either but lots of solos are coming your way, Coach Sylvester is thinking about adding vocals to her already flawless routines.” Applauds broke out amongst the group. “I have a special treat for you next week Rachel Berry and Kurt Hummel will be here to monitor Broadway week.”
With that conversations started while Blaine unlocked the piano and got the box of sheet music titled Broadway. Brittany walked in with her daughter Ashley on her hip. “Duckie,” she calls Blaine as she spots him at the piano. Blaine looks up and smiled. “Hey Britt, you brought Ashley” Blaine said reaching for his god daughter.
“Can you watch her while I practice?” Brittany asked. “Of Couse, she can help me grade papers.” Blaine said attaching the sleeping little girl to his hip.
“Whoa Mr. Anderson, ” Vanessa said snapping a picture of him with the baby on his hip. “This picture just officiated your hottest teacher campaign for next semester.” Blaine chuckled as Brittany gave her daughter a kiss and left the room.
