A week later Quinn came over to write with Blaine while their partners worked. She was excited to be back in the studio and didn't mind at all when Blaine told her he was just learning the button to the sound board.
"Hey Quinn," Blaine said breaking the working silence in the office. She looked up at him with a soft caring smile. "I want to go to New York this weekend and marry Kurt." He said very honestly.
Her eyes lit up, "Blaine that would be perfect."
"I know he wants a rather large ceremony with close to 100 people and a full reception with the cake and first dance. But I just want you and Quinn there."
"What about Kurt’s parents?" Quinn asked.
"I don't know, I haven't talk to them since I got home and Kurt stopped by for the holidays but we don't visit every weekend anymore." Blaine shrugged.
"I think it is a wonderful idea and Rachel and I would be honored to be your only guest." Quinn smiled wide and Blaine returned it with equal energy. She returned to her notebook adding another line and looking up at Blaine.
"Okay I have our first song." She stood and crossed the room, "its about two pen pals who know nothing about each other they only receive letters and both can't wait to meat each other." She explained.
Blaine picked up his guitar, "alright, what's average temp?"
"It’s defiantly slow, it’s a love song," Blaine strums but Quinn shook her head. " No more like da da do da de de da da do da de de." She said as Blaine tried again. Quinn took a clamp and placed it over the forth fret. "Only use a, b, e." Blaine tried one more time and Quinn nodded, "yes perfect, you have the first verse." She said setting the note book in front of him.
"Why are you so far from me? In my arms is where you are to be." Blaine sung looking at Quinn, she nodded and sung the next line.
" How long will you make me wait? I don't know how much more I can take." Quinn sung making Blaine smile. "Both of us sing this part," she said
" I missed you but I haven't met you, Oh but I want to. How I do." Their voices blending together soulfully.
"Slowly counting down the days till I finally know your name," Blaine sang warming it up a bit.
"The way your hand feels round my waist the way you laugh, the way your kisses taste." Quinn’s smile transfers to her voice making the lyric more enchanting.
"I missed you but I haven't met you Oh but I want to how I do. How I do. I've missed you but I haven't met you. Oh how I miss you but I haven't met you. Oh but I want to Oh how I want to." They sung together slowly and full of love.
"Dear whoever you might be," Blaine sung.
" I'm still waiting patiently," Quinn finished, "you know what, play the guitar for two loops and that's how it will end." She decided.
"That's a great song Q," Blaine said. "Let’s hit record."
Blaine ordered takeout from a Chinese restaurant down the street. Just as Kurt got home Blaine had plates set on the table and lit a candle. Kurt smiled at the sight as he tossed his brief case on the couch. Blaine came around the corner and gave Kurt a sweet kiss.
"Hello darling. How was work?" Blaine asked taking Kurt’s jacket.
"It was alright, I got a new client, her name is Joan and she wants a new living room." Kurt said, "how was recording? Does it sound good in there?"
"It’s perfect, after dinner I'll show you our first duet." Blaine said leading the way to the table. Blaine pulled Kurt’s chair and gave him a glass of sparkling water before sitting.
They ate with small chatter and just like Blaine planned Kurt brought up New York. "Only you put Chinese food on a plate, in new York it tastes best out the carry out bowl."
"Let’s go to new York weekend Kurt." Blaine wiped his mouth.
"Okay, why?" Kurt asked as Blaine moved to kneel in front of him.
"I want to marry you, right now." Blaine said taking both of Kurt’s hands.
"Blaine, we agreed in Vermont on the lake with all the pretty fall leaves. And all of our friends and my family." Kurt said flattered.
"I know but I don't want to wait. Rachel and Quinn already agreed and if I can find Santana’s number I'm sure she will come to the court house with us. Please, let’s get married this weekend and next weekend we can have the big reception you want." Blaine explained.
Kurt slipped his hand from under Blaine’s and cupped his cheek. "Okay you know I can't say no when you look up at me like that. What about my parents?"
"Let’s go see them tomorrow. If they want to come they can if they rather wait till the reception that's fine too, if they don't want to participate at all then their loss." Blaine said. Kurt brought his face up for a soft kiss.
"I love you."
"You are the love of my life Kurt."
