Author's Notes: Klaine moment and Kurt's song!!
The next day all the morning classes were shortened to make room for a pep rally. Blaine won the MVP award and the cheerios did an extreme routine that won them state last week. Kurt didn't pay much attention to the other awards passed out at the assembly much less the captain and coach speech.

After the assembly Kurt looked all over the place for Blaine but couldn't find him so he went to lunch and asked Rachel, "do you know where Blaine is?"

"Check the weight room, or library." Rachel shrugged. "Why do you want him?"

"I need to apologize to him, I need him to be my friend again." Kurt explained.

"Well good luck. You're the last person to sing today you have your song right." Rachel asked.

"I do, see you then." Kurt left the cafeteria and walked quickly to the gym and weight room. Sure enough Blaine was in there boxing his feeling out but he stopped as soon as he saw Kurt.

"Hey, what are you doing in here?" Blaine asked slightly out of breath.

"I was looking for you." Kurt said pulling the handkerchief from his pocket, "I though you might want this back. I was pretty sure they stopped making them in the 50's." Kurt said rambling.

"Keep it, Its yours." Blaine said, "it was a buy two get one free thing online, there's a K embroidered in the top left side. I ordered it Friday before everything..." Blaine sighed and turned his attention back to the red sandbag. "Was that all you wanted?" He asked hitting the bag.

"I guess. I missed talking to you too." Kurt said.

Blaine looked at him weird, "I thought I talked to much."

"You do but its nice." Kurt walked closer to Blaine, "you should teach me how to do that."

"Boxing? Its easy just hit the bag and protect your sides." Blaine showed Kurt as he spoke. "Kick boxing is hard I only did that for a year between karate and boxing."

"I have to know is there anything you can't do?" Kurt asked smiling at Blaine.

"I'm not a particularly good seamstress, or cook, the best I can do is grill hot dogs." He laughed.

"Lucky for your am amazing at both, I'll show you if you show me." Kurt shrugged his eyes full of hope.

"What are you doing Kurt?" Blaine asked seeing right through Kurt's faade.

"I want to be your friend Blaine," Kurt said honestly.

Blaine shook his head, "Kurt I want to be more then your friend, I want to be the last thing on your mind before you go to sleep and the first thought when wake up. I want to be your favorite guy, and the reason why you smile. I want to hold your hand when your upset, and have your coffee order memorize to surprise you after a late night talking on the phone. I want you need me and without me you couldn't sleep. Because you're all of that to me and there is no way I could be just friends with you." Blaine blurted turning his back to Kurt hitting the sand bag causing the chains holding it up to whine in protest.

Kurt stared at Blaine and sighed, "I'm sorry, Blaine. I'll see you in glee." He waited for an answer but when none was given he walked out the weight room and to the library to change his song.

Kurt ran to glee practice arriving as close to on time as possible. The football players all had their jerseys on and they had war paint on. The cheerios had war paint with jersey numbers painted on in white. Mr. Schuster spoke for a moment before asking Kurt to sing his song.

Kurt looked at the band and nodded his head showing them he's ready.

He looked at Santana and the cheerios first "If I don't cry, Do you think I don't feel? If I look away, it doesn't mean I don't see," he looked over to Rachel and Mercedes, "And just because I want someone when I'm alone, Doesn't mean I'm helpless, or that I can't stand on my own."

Kurt looked down then up at the whole group, " How far can we go before we break? How long can I wait? How strong do you think I am? How much can I take of this? Am I a rock, or a rose, or a fist? Or the breath at the end of a kiss?" He looked over at Blaine who stares at Kurt mesmerized, "How deep do you want to go, because I'll go there if I can, You make it harder than it has to be, How strong, how strong do you think I am?" Kurt held the not then locked eyes with Blaine and sung the next verse to him. "It's so hard to tell, What's in your heart, What you keep to yourself, is tearing me apart. and should I be afraid, to dream about you? And if you feel the same, What you gonna do?"

"How far can we go before we break? How long can I wait? How strong do you think I am? How much can I take of this? Am I a rock, or a rose, or a fist? Or the breath at the end of a kiss? How deep do you want to go, because I'll go there if I can. You make it harder than it has to be, how strong, how strong do you think I am?"

"If I move in any closer, if you let go and give yourself away, and if we let this happen to us, everything will change."The band slowed down as did Kurt.

"How strong do you think I am? How much can I take of this? Am I a rock, or a rose, or a fist? Or the breath at the end of a kiss? How deep do you want to go, because I'll go there if I can, You make it harder than it has to be, How strong, how strong, How strong do you think I am?" He asked softly. He somehow managed to get a standing ovation but he really only cared about Blaine's reaction.

Blaine's eyes had that light in them that Kurt was sure he lost, he was smiling profusely as he stared in awe of Kurt. As everyone sat Kurt explained his song choice, "Its come to my attention that I'm stronger then I thought, I always have been but this year I will prove it." Kurt walked to sit down only this time he moved to sit diagonal Blaine. They shared a wistful smile and turned to hear Mr. Schuster's good luck pep talk.

Once they were dismissed, Kurt stopped Blaine, "is it wrong for me to say break a leg tonight?"

Blaine laughed, "no I accept that. I only act like I know what I'm doing anyway."

"Well I can't wait to see you." Kurt said. Blaine raised an eyebrow, "my dad and I are coming. Finn works at the shop now."

"Oh that's awesome. About today at lunch," Blaine started.

"No, Blaine don't worry about it I understand." Kurt interrupted.

"I do want to be your friend, I just like hanging out with you and its selfish of me to want you all to myself." Blaine offered Kurt a hug that Kurt gladly accepted.

"I'll see you tonight," Kurt smiled walking away.
