"Movie doesn't start for another 20 minutes, want to grab a bite to eat or walk around for a bit?" Zaiah asked.

"Let grab something to eat, I haven't since lunch." Kurt said suddenly distracted by the laughter of Santana and Blaine coming from the arcade room. They were playing dance extreme and Santana was kicking Blaine's ass so he tried to push her off.

"Kurt?" Zaiah said again, this time catching Kurt's attention, "are they your friends?"

"Yeah, the new glee club members." Kurt said as they got off the platform laughing at the final scores.

"Lets say hi," Zaiah insisted.

"Oh no, we don't have too." Kurt protested the butterflies in his stomach fluttering like spring.

"Why? Are you ashamed of me?" He asked.

"No of course not they just aren't good friend." Kurt said but Zaiah was already pulling him along.

"Porcelain what are you doing out of the china cabinet?" Santana said as they entered. Blaine looked at them once before turning his attention to a Zombie shooting game. Brittany and Sam were off the the side playing a race game.

"Hey," Kurt said dully looking at Zaiah to see if he was satisfied.

"Who is this?" Santana asked.

"My boyfriend Zaiah." Kurt said as Zaiah took his hand. Blaine looked over at them shaking his head before a zombie attacked him and he loss his game.

"Hi, its nice to finally meet some of Kurt's friends." Zaiah said.

"I'm not Kurt's friend Blaine is, well was until--"

"I'm out of quarters lets go," Blaine cut her off. "Britt Sam? I think our movie is seating anyway."

Brittany and Sam got out of the car and walked to Kurt and Zaiah. Santana was staring at Zaiah and saw something that upset her.

"What movie are you seeing?" Zaiah asked scratching his mouth and beard.

"21 Jump Street" Blaine said sighing.

"Its date night for both of us huh," Zaiah said trying to make the moment less awkward as Blaine and Kurt share shy glances.

"No." Santana laughed, "Blaine's mom paid me to take him out with my girlfriend. We met Sam in JCP an hour ago."

"Shut up Santana," Blaine laughed but was completely serious.

"We should get going," Kurt said to Zaiah.

"Bye Porcelain, see you in class," Santana said as Brittany jumped on her back and they giggled to the concession stand Sam followed close behind but Blaine watched them go then turned to Kurt.

"See you later Kurt," Blaine said and held his hand out to shake Zaiah's hand, "it was nice to meet you."

Kurt looked at him and saw the acceptance in his eye before Blaine walked away. "I told you they weren't my friends" Kurt said walking to the food court.

"Why did she call you porcelain?" Zaiah asked.

"Because she is a bitch who never bothered to learn my name." Kurt said.

"I'm sorry Kurt." He said.

"You really thought I was friends with football players and cheerleaders Zaiah?" Kurt turned to face him.

"I don't know, you have a great personality, I'm sure you'd befriend the whole school."

"We I'm not. I get beat up and thrown into dumpsters all the time and have you ever had a slushie thrown in your face because believe me its not a cool refreshing break from a hot summer day." Kurt ranted. Zaiah put his hands on Kurt's shoulders, "hey babe, relax." Zaiah gave Kurt a lingering kiss, "lets just forget about it alright."

Only Kurt couldn't forget about it. All through the movie he thought about Blaine and how he protected Kurt last year and this year. And even after Kurt broke his heart he was still protecting him. and the way he just looked at Zaiah and accepted his defeat. Kurt almost hoped Blaine would fight for him.

When Kurt got home he had three messages from Rachel on his Facebook wall the most reason was a shared YouTube video from Blaine.

Kurt clicked on it and saw Blaine playing the piano and singing softly.

"You say, sometimes, it's like I hardly know you, and maybe there's something's I never showed you. Sometimes you're certain, but just can't get it working at all..."

Kurt listened melting away to Blaine's soft voice.

"You say to yourself somebody better will understand you more than I ever; I'll shake his hand, and smile, and say I understand. Well I do that don't mean I don't think about you." Kurt looked at the time stamp on the video and saw he posted it last night today he shook Zaiah hand and accepted the defeat.

"I know we said it's just as well that I won't keep, keep you for myself. But, I don't want to see you happier with somebody else. Oh, why can't you just be lo-lo, lo lo-lo, lo lonely? Why can't you just be lo-lo, lo lo-lo, lo lonely? Why can't you just be lo-lo, lo lo-lo, lo lonely? I know you need someone too.... This just feels so soon." Kurt's eyes pricked with tears as he understood how much he hurt Blaine.

"I know some things should just stay broken. I'm well aware this should remain unspoken; but I've been working on the things that I was learning all wrong. Ooh I know sometimes I only twist ya, and maybe I'm too proud to say I missed ya. But what if here and now, I tell you that I'm all figured out? Or maybe I just like how that sounds. I know we said it's just as well that I won't keep, keep you for myself. But I don't want to see you happier with somebody else..." Kurt stopped the video and slammed his computer shut.

Why does Blaine do this? Its like every second Kurt is with Zaiah he shows Kurt a reason he should have picked him. Everyone saw and knew it be but Kurt even before Zaiah. Kurt climbed into bed and cried himself to sleep Blaine's voice on replay in his head, "I'll shake his hand and smile, say I understand and oh I do."
