Mr. Schuester started the afternoon with vocal warm ups then allowed whom ever was ready to sing the song about them. Quinn went first, she sung a song titled Halo by Bethany Joy Lenz. The group was moved by her soft alto, as well as the lyrics in the song. When she finished everyone clapped and cheered then Mr Schue asked her to explain why she choose the song.
"I sung that song because in the end everyone thinks I'm perfect flawless but honestly I have no right to wear that halo. I hope I can show you all the real me." She said smiling gain another round of applause and a kiss from Finn as she returned to her chair.
Santana eagerly went next her song Bad Influence by Pink. The glee kids were so moved by her performance they joined in occasionally with laughing faces.
"Needless to say I'm a bitch and a bad influence on all of you." She said.
Mr. Schuster began to talk about how proud he is and how incredible the girls voices were. Practice ended and Blaine stopped Kurt to ask him a question.
"Hey Kurt, can we talk?" He asked. Kurt began to feel uneasy.
"Sure, but I have work in 20 minutes, can we walk to my car?" Kurt asked. Blaine nodded and walked with him.
"If I had known you had a boyfriend I wouldn't have been so forward." He started in an apologetic tone.
"I had the boyfriend after you. You don't need to apologies." Kurt said as they opened the door leading out the school building.
"Can I ask you a question and I want you to be harshly honest with me." Blaine said.
"What is it Blaine?" Kurt asked taking a stuttering breath.
"Friday at lunch everything was perfect I though we had something but now you have a boyfriend. I guess I just want to know if I did something wrong." His voice was full of question.
"No, Blaine, you didn't do anything wrong. Friday at lunch was lovely but," there was no but, Kurt just said yes to Zaiah in the heat of the moment with Rachel now he had to deal this kicked puppy version of Blaine. "But Zaiah and I have something good. You talk a lot Blaine, and you're persistent obnoxious, very stubborn. Its frustrating, while I do like you I like him more. We can still be friends right?" Kurt hated himself right now, he turned into the person he never wanted become. The lets be friends guy. He wanted to kick himself in the head for that line.
Blaine couldn't look more hurt and sad if he was paid cash. His bottom lip quivered as he took a breath and blinked away the sadness in his eyes which just ended up making them glaze over with tears
"Oh. Alright then I'll see you," Blaine said walking away wiping back the tears that trickled down his cheek. Kurt watching him walk into the field house and shake his head turning back to the parking lot surprised when he saw Zaiah leaning in his Prius waiting for Kurt.
"What are you doing here?" Kurt asked walking into Zaiah's arms.
"I can't come see me boyfriend after school?" He asked in an innocent voice.
"Of course you can but I have work." Kurt said pulling away from their hug.
"Call in, I want to spend the afternoon with you." He said taking Kurt's hand.
"Okay give me a minute." Kurt said calling his dad piecing together a lie to give him a few hours with his boyfriend, it felt weird to use that word but Kurt made his choice. "Alright, you've got me til 6." Kurt said with a smile.
"A friend of mine is playing Backstage in about an hour wanna come with me. I know you're not really into rock but he is really good." Zaiah said.
"Sure, as long as I'm with you I'm sure it will be lovely." Kurt said. He looked over at the field and noticed he had a few peoples attention. "Come on lets get out of here."

Kurt came home and took a shower right away, Backstage smelt like cigarettes and beer then being hugged up with Zaiah he also smelt like his cologne.
He went upstairs and heard the TV on and saw pasta from breadsticks on the stove. Burt heard him and rose out of his squeaky chair, "Rachel brought supper over you were suppose to be home at 6."
"I'm sorry, I lost track of time." Kurt said, "what did she want?"
"I don't know she comes over all the time. She didn't know about your English project. Since when did your teacher assign debates?"
"Just this year, we have a national champion in the class." Kurt said then sighed as he began to think about Blaine.
"Oh. She wants you to call her as soon as you get home." Burt gave Kurt a suspicious once over before returning to his chair and football game.
Kurt didn't have much of an appetite and more so he went downstairs and called Rachel. She picked up after two rings. "You came over today?" Kurt started.
"Yeah I wanted to apologize. I brought you cheesecake and dinner." She said.
"Oh sorry I was with Zaiah." Kurt said.
"I figured. So you're really doing that." She asked in a condescending tone.
"Yes I am. Listen Rachel, I understand you are rooting for Blaine but its not going to work between us." Kurt clarified.
"It doesn't mean I'm giving up on you two, and I won't let him either."
"He and I spoke already, he has given up. Let it go Rach," Kurt said. "I have homework see you tomorrow."
"I'm not giving up." She said before hanging up.
