Kurt had the whole weekend to think about his feeling. It turns out having everything in common didn't make a relationship stronger, but the differences made Kurt long for more. Kurt loved talking to him Friday, explaining the royal family and types of plays he'd audition for. Then to hear Blaine explain sports and political issues. It wasn't bad that they were different; it just meant everything would be new. Kurt knew Blaine would never hurt him. He had the power to do so, socially and physically. But all Blaine has done in the last month was treating Kurt like royalty.

Kurt got to school Monday surprised that Blaine was at his locker with a cup of coffee. "Its like you can read my mind." Kurt said as he took the coffee. "How was the game?" Kurt asked after Blaine hugged him.

"So close, most intense game of the season, we won by 4 points." Blaine said. "How was your weekend?"

"So boring, I polished all my shoes and broaches." Blaine laughed as Kurt looked down at his shinny shoe.

The bell rang sending Kurt and Blaine their separate ways. At lunch Blaine was in the gym with the team getting pictures taken for the paper. So Kurt had to wait till glee to see him. Yet even then, between him learning the group number opposite Blaine and any free time Blaine got Rachel had a hold of him Kurt spent 4 and a half minutes talking to him.

Kurt was gathering his thing as Blaine came and leaned on him.

"Ew Blaine you're all sweaty," Kurt complained jokingly. Blaine laughed and flopped in the chair beside Kurt and looked up at him.

"Thank god I don't have football practice after this. I think I'm gonna die." Blaine complained.

"Oh come on it wasn't that bad," I said putting my had on the back of his chair.

"No but I'm tired," he complained putting his feet on the chair in front on him.

"Feet off the chairs," Kurt and Rachel said at the same time, Kurt in a gentle informative tone, Rachel in an aggravated tone.

Blaine dropped his feet and laughed, "I'm going home, so this time tomorrow we will be regional champions." Blaine said giving Kurt a sweaty hug.

"Hey Blaine, I'm going to call you tonight." Kurt said watching him walk away.

"Okay, I will be sitting in front of my phone. Waiting attentively." He called before opening the door letting the cold late October air in.

After Kurt put his four hours in at work he asked Burt if he could borrow the phone. Burt asked why and Kurt answered honestly, he wanted to sing a song to Blaine. Burt said he had an hour and gave him the phone.

Kurt found the paper Blaine gave him ages ago with his number and called.

"Ello?' Blaine answered after 4 rings.

"Hey Blaine," Kurt couldn't help but smile at Blaine’s voice.

"Hi," he sounded very sleepy.

"Are you okay?" Kurt asked.

"I am, you know the late time I took a nap afterschool because I don't." He joked.

"I'm sorry; I didn't mean to wake you." Kurt quickly said.

"No its okay, I'm up. What are you doing?" He asked sitting up.

"I just got out of work; I actually wanted to get your opinion on a song." Kurt said.

"I'm all ears," Blaine said his tone showed he was smiling.

"Give me a minute to grab my computer." Kurt opened the instrumental version of the song and put Blaine on speaker, "can you hear me?"

"Loud and clear." Blaine quickly replied.

Kurt pressed play and the instrumental filled the room. "Walking through the airport checking in the flight wondering who I'm gonna to be sitting beside. Looking at the faces, studying the lines, maybe he's a Matthew and he'll think I'm Caroline. He's looking my way, but I kind of hope he doesn't. Something I might say will make me sort of wish he wasn't sitting so close. My heart's beating like a drum drum drum."

"Baby I don't show it, but deep down I'm hoping for it. Somebody's gonna find a way to steal my love. Maybe I'm ridiculous to push it all away like this better be gone with it or steal my love. Steal my love, steal my love, steal my love."

"I built up my walls three-thousand feet high sitting in the middle with towers on either side. Built my little army 40 legions strong ready to battle all emotion that comes along. He's walking away and I kinda wish he wouldn't. I could keep him here, but somehow I think I shouldn't. Watch him disappear my heart's beating like a drum Drum, drum, drum!"

“Baby, I don't show it but deep down I'm hoping for it. Somebody's gonna find a way to steal my love. Baby, I'm ridiculous to push it all away like this. Better be gone with it or steal my love Steal my love, steal my love Steal my love, steal my love."

"Safe, safer this way safe, I'm safe for the day I'm late, Gotta leave, gotta run gotta go,"

"Baby, I don't show it But deep down I'm hoping for it Somebody's gonna find a way to steal my love Baby, I'm ridiculous To push it all away like this Better be gone with it or steal my love Steal my love, steal my love. Steal it away, you gotta steal my heart, you gotta steal my love."

"Wow Kurt, you cease to amaze me. That was great." Blaine said. Kurt took the phone off speaker.

"I was going to sing that for the ballad." Kurt explained.

"Why didn't you that was amazing, more than amazing, you know your better then Rachel," Blaine said, "I’d rather sing this duet with you."

"Rachel is amazing you two sound perfect to me," Kurt said blushing slightly at Blaine’s comment.

"Don't short yourself Kurt, after we win tomorrow you and I are singing the victory performance."
