Kurt walked down the hall laughing with Rachel. Blaine groaned out loud with the presence of Rachel making things harder for him. He put his head into his locker. "Please leave. Please leave. Please leave," he murmured to himself.
"Text me when you get home, Kurt." Rachel said giving Kurt a peck on the cheek. Blaine removed his head from the locker to see Rachel walk away then took his chance to talk to Kurt.
"Hey Kurt," Blaine said hesitantly as he approached Kurt's locker but keeping a safe distance.
Kurt ignored him at first, looking at Blaine then turning to his locker. When Blaine didn’t leave, "Can you take a hint?" Kurt asked turning to look Blaine.
"I know, I know, you don't want to talk to me. Or even give me the time of day but please can you give me one change to prove to you that I'm a good guy, nothing like Puck or Finn." But his moment was now. Santana and Brittany walked down the halls hand in hand.
"Anderson tell me you are not asking out Lance Bass when you have a hot date tonight." Santana asked giving Blaine a stare that made his stomach churn. He swallowed but words still failed him. Brittany gave Kurt a once over before looking at her girlfriend to see just what her expression should be.
Blaine adjusted his backpack. In his peripheral vision he saw Kurt's displeased face.
"So, Sebastian reserved seats for you two at breadstixx tonight at 7:00 sharp." Santana looked at Kurt; Blaine saw the glint in her eyes she gets when she is going to do something malicious. "Oh god I'm sorry. I ruined everything didn't I."
"What are you talking about." Kurt said looking between Blaine and Santana.
"Blaine was suppose to ask you out to dinner tonight then when you got there you'd see him and Sebastian together. and go home to your daddy sobbing." Santana acted as if she was really torn up about spoiling the night. "We'll just have to try again next week Blaine."
"You didn't ruin anything Santana. I had no intentions to say yes." Kurt's cold voice rattled through Blaine making him feel like the scum at the bottom of the ocean. Kurt slammed his locker shut and walked away.
"Santana, you can be a real bitch sometimes." Blaine shook his head and chased after Kurt.
Kurt was cutting corners in a brisk walk ignoring Blaine's constant attempts to slow him down. They got to the student parking adjacent to the football field full of players and cheerios.
"Kurt!" Blaine called. Kurt turned stopping Blaine abruptly nearly clashing into each other.
"What?!" Kurt shouted.
"She is lying, I would never do that to you." Blaine pleated staring into Kurt's cold blue eyes.
"Really, then why don't you stand up for your self?" Kurt asked. Blaine remained silent unsure how to answer that question, "I don't want to date you. You are obnoxious, stubborn and a coward. You smell like grass and your hair is the inspiration behind the cabbage patch kids. You're not artistic or musical which in case you didn't notice is what I like. Stop harassing me, just because I'm the only other gay kid at this school doesn't mean we have to be together!" Kurt yelled gaining the attention of the cheerios as well as the football team.
Blaine stood in shock watching Kurt, yet again, walk away. Kurt really didn’t know Blaine because if he did then he would know that everything that left his mouth was a lie.
