Blaine's mother didn't dare to look at Blaine as his father helped him out the car and grabbed his bag.
"I don't understand what's going on." Blaine said as orderlies came to help Mr. Anderson with Blaine.
"Son, you're not okay, and your mother and I can't keep listening to you." Mr. Anderson said.
"This is insane, I'm not crazy." Blaine said looking at his uncle Logan, who was stepping out of the back seat.
"Blaine just go. We will come visit you soon. This will benefit all of us." His father said handing the orderly a duffel bag of Blaine's things.
"I'll be right by your side, Blaine." His uncle said patting his shoulder.
The second orderly sat Blaine in the wheelchair despite his pleas, Blaine was wheeled away. His heart shattered in away he couldn't believe it.
How could his parents do this to him?
He looked up to his uncle for answers but Logan was no where to be seen.
Maybe he was going crazy, people who he hasn't seen in months would just pop up, enter his life. Then as fast as they came they left.
Logan was one of them.
Blaine was led to a office where the doctor who greeted him out side sat looking at him.
"Hello Mr. Anderson." He said very calmly. "I'm doctor Reeve, would you like to tell me what's been happening in your life?"
"I shouldn't be here." Blaine said right away.
"I will be the one determining that. Why don't you start with this last April. That's when the phantasms began correct." He said in a condescending tone
"What? I don't understand what you're asking." Blaine looked over his shoulder out the window and saw the leaves change as if it were fall already. "What month is it?"
"Blaine its September 20, the first day of fall." Logan was walking into the office, "he's asking you when did you start seeing people your mom and dad couldn't see. Like me."
"Blaine, are you listening to me?" The doctor asked.
"The car accident. That's it right. Mom said Cooper hit a deer, but Cooper thinks he hit a tree. But I swear we died from the car exploding.... I don't remember anything anymore." Blaine said, "I don't remember graduation, and I don't remember summer, aren't I suppose to be enrolled in NYU if its September?" Blaine was ranting.
"Slow down, Blaine, the car accident, why do you think you are dead. Is it because you can see people that have passed away?" The doctor asked.
"I'm not Dead. Neither are the people I see." Blaine said.
"The doctor is right Blaine. I'm dead. Remember when I bought that motorcycle and decide to go for a crazy ride on the highway? I was speeding and over the hill there was a traffic jam I tried to stop or to swerve ended up skidding under the semi. I was stuck for at least three hours of stop and go traffic before I finally died. No one knows. I love that most the family still has hope I will call or come home; kinda like the prodigal son in some sick sense." Logan said. Blaine's eyes filled with tears as he heard his uncles story.
"Who is here with us Blaine?" The doctor asked taking notes on Blaine's sudden change in emotion.
"Uncle Logan, you're not dead, you can't be." Blaine stuttered.
"You're dead too Blaine." Logan said in a stern voice. He stood up, "Accept it already Blaine! Stop holding yourself to this forsaken world and pass through already!" He shouts making Blaine flinch.
"Blaine?" The doctor spoke softly picking up his phone calling for an orderly to come join him and sedate Blaine.
"I'm n-not dead." Blaine stuttered wiping his eyes, "Go away Logan."
"Fine Blaine, I leave some one else will come back. You can't live here forever." Logan walked out the door as an orderly walked in and injected a needle into Blaine's arm causing him to pass out seconds later.
When Blaine woke he was in a white room, white wall, white carpet white bed. For some reason he thought he was in a Clorox commercial and some messy family would run in any second. Only after ten minutes nothing happened. Thirty minutes passed and Blaine didn't even hear something as common as the air conditioning turn on.
Blaine stood up and walked around this odd room. He had nothing, not even the bag his dad packed for him.
The door suddenly unlocked and opened. Blaine flinched and waited for something to happen but when nothing did he walked over and peaked his head out. Everyone was leaving their room walking down the hall. Blaine followed nervously, the though of herding cattle played loops in his mind before early morning sunlight greeted him in the large dining hall.
Blaine found a line that had waffles for breakfast and stood in it. Receiving his breakfast right away he sat at an empty table. Minutes later an older boy with a Mohawk joined him.
Then Amy, Blaine's old neighbor, sat between them. "Come on Blaine, don't be shy."
"Hi," Blaine said. The guy looked up at Blaine and nodded before returning to his bowl of cereal.
"I don't get it Blaine, you talked my ear off when I was your friend and now silence." Amy shook her head.
"I'm Blaine." Blaine held his hand out.
"Noah, you're new."
"My first ... I guess second day." Blaine said.
"Don't listen to a thing anyone around here says. Stick with me kid you'll be alright."Noah said.
"Thanks." Blaine said sincerely. Two girls walked over and sat beside Noah.
"Lesbians, I missed that phase in my life." Amy said.
"Santana Brittany this is Blaine. He is cool." Noah said but Santana ignored him and looked at Brittany. The blonde's eyes were wide staring at her Plate. Blaine didn't know what she was seeing but watched Santana hide it under the table and share her bagel with Brittany who cuddled into Santana side.
"So what do we do all-day here?" Blaine asked Noah.
"After breakfast some of us go to outdoor activity some of us go to the learning center, some go back to our rooms and some go to therapy. Its all switched in hour and a half interval until lunch. Then a nap before we start the activities again. Dinner then bed." Noah said.
"Shallows or deep?" Santana spoke to Blaine for the first time her voice so cold it gave Blaine chills.
"I'm sorry what do you mean?" Blaine stuttered.
"She wants to know why you're here Blaine." Amy said same time Noah explained.
"She just wants to know if you're in group therapy or one on one. Her and I are in therapy together, Brittany has it one on one."
"Oh." Blaine stuttered, "I don't know." He said unsure if yesterday's meeting was the determining factor.
"Deeps worse then shallow." She said making Blaine uncomfortable. "Deep means you'll never get out. Deep means you're going to die here."
"its a good thing you're already dead," Amy said.
"I'm not dead." Blaine hissed at her and Brittany snickered at him.
"Deep," Santana sighed, "guess I wont see you around."
"I'm not nothing." Blaine shouted at her.
"Blaine relax, they are looking." Noah and Amy said at the same time.
Blaine looked down at his food and just began to eat wishing everyone would disappeared.
"Noah, we are playing basketball again, will you pick me so I'm not left out." Blaine looked up and saw the boy talking to Noah.
" of course Kurt, I got you." Noah said back,he saw Blaine's lingering eye on Kurt. "Kurt this is my friend Blaine."
"Hi, I feel like I know you." Kurt said.
"I doubt it. I don't even know my self." Blaine felt the color rush to his face.
"Maybe it was in a dream then." Kurt said turning back to Noah, "see you guys around."
