The drive from Columbus to Westerville was calm. The sky was clear for a normally rainy April season. Cooper and Blaine were driving home after Blaine bugged Cooper for weeks to take him to the Britney spears concert, Cooper loved Blaine, regardless of his sexual preference, but that was one concert he would rather skip out on.
"Cooper, Brittney is so much better than all the new girls. How could you say that was okay?" Blaine complained as they listened to her newest and signed album.
"I like Katy Perry more. And I saw that Lady GaGa performance on HBO, all I'm saying is its time for Britt to hang up her be-dazzler and retire."
"We're not friends anymore." Blaine laughed turning the music up.
Cooper was going well over the speed limit and it wasn't until Blaine looked out the window he noticed. The trees were going by so fast and the slights of housed in the foliage were going faster than they were coming. Blaine looked to the dashboard and saw Cooper was going 80 mph, "Wanna slow down Spears hater?" Blaine asked.
"I wanna get home fast. Besides, I've been driving longer then you been walking, and I know this road like the back of my hand."
"Okay you know the road, but what if a deer were to run out. All I'm saying is slow down." Blaine said watching his brother slow down to 70mph. Blaine sighed and looked down at his shirt, his first Brittney concert, it made him love her so much more.
"Thanks for taking me coop." Blaine said softly.
Cooper looked over at him and smiled, "Anytime little bro." Cooper looked away from the road for half a second but that was all it took.
A boy ran to the middle of the road freezing and flinching in anticipation of the cars impact.
Bam! On the brakes the car is sliding and rolling.
Blaine feels Cooper grab a hold of him as they continue to roll down the barren back woods highway. Finally it stops, an emptiness echoes through the forest as Cooper tries to speak.
"B-Bl-Blaine?" He called struggling to drop himself from the seat belts suspension.
Blaine didn't reply, his face was in such pain he knew something was broken. He was gasping for air only the air he was breathing was tainted with the fumes from the gas tank.
Cooper managed to get out of the car but couldn't move very far with his arm broken.
The boy that ran in the middle of the street was closing in on the car. "Oh my god I'm so sorry I wasn't expecting anyone to be driving this late at night."
Blaine heard the boy exclaim. "HELP HIM!" Cooper shouted not giving a damn about what he had to say.
Blaine felts hands on him and let out a scream that didn't sound like it could belong to him. Hot searing pain from each breath he would take, as he was being pulled out the car.
He opened his eyes and met the softest pair of blue eyes he has ever seen in his life. Only, the pain was too excruciating for him to do or say anything. He only screamed.
Cooper limped around the car and pushed the boy away from him. "Hey I'm here." Cooper stuttered. "I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere."
Blaine kept screaming stammering, "Everything hurts Coop. Please make it stop." Cooper smelt the gasoline and tried to pull Blaine further from the car but he hated the sound of Blaine's screams and pleas for him to stop.
The sound of sirens echoed through the woods giving Cooper hope that they would be okay. The boy was watching from an angle when he saw a spark that seemed to be he last thing he saw before the gasoline ignited and sped towards the car.
"FIRE!" The boy shouted but it was too late the car was on fire.
Cooper wrapped his arms around Blaine and muttered, "I love you!" As he covered Blaine from the impeding explosion.
