"Sure Cooper, what about." I asked. I noticed he looked exhausted; he must have had a rough night.
"It’s about Blaine, he isn't dead and no one will listen to me." Cooper said.
"Olivia told me not to scratch your wall." I said right away handing him his pills and water.
"I know, she put the wall up, but I can't hide from this anymore. I just need one person Kurt." He came to the edge of the bed, "please let me explain to you, everything." His blue eyes were the heart of the ocean rose never lost the diamond.
"I know he isn't dead cooper. I just don't know everyone thinks he is." I told him putting his pills in his hand, "take those, I have to finish my runs and I will be back."
He smiled, "thank you." I nodded and left to give out more pills.
I was helping a crazy man find his undead dead brother, defiantly something to add to the resume seeing how when Olivia finds out my ass is toast. I returned to coopers room. He was pacing the floor looking more than scared.
"Hey," I said trying not to scare him, he still jumped, i still startled him. “Where do we start?"
he was fidgety and bounced as he talked. “Ok so you told me you already know about Blaine, the accident, the lack of funeral, now it’s about Kathryn.”
“Your mom correct?” I asked he nodded, and then walked to his couch.
“Blaine, tell me what mom and dad were fighting about that night.” He leaned on the bed staring at Blaine. “Ok so Steven was leaving her and she was basically just became psychotic because she didn’t want to keep you around so she lied to me.”
“So, should I go talk to her?” I asked shrugging my shoulders.
“You would do that? How?” he asked me.
“You’re looking at OSU’s Chief reporter on the Lantern, I know how to conduct an interview,” I informed him.
“Right, well yes talk to her and see if she can get me out, I’m ready to leave.” Cooper said then looked at his brother and laughed, “Yeah, it does seem like a bad episode CSI.”
“Well I guess I’m checking out, it’s a long drive to Lima, i might visit the rents and stay the night in town.” I said. “See you boys in 24 hours.”
“Thank you Kurt,” Cooper said honestly, “Wait what about Olivia?”
“She comes back in 2 days; you honestly think we will be done with this by then?” I asked.
“I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see.”

I forgot how much I hated the 2 hour drive back to Lima, nothing but foliage and lakes for 88 miles. I pulled the address out of the back seat and imputed it into the Navigation system. Kathryn Anderson or now Kathryn Moore lived in an apartment above the small business she owned down town. It was a lunch by the time I got to the bakery; I spotted her before I even walked in to the place.
She had her hair pined back tons of thick jet black curls coursing down her back, strong cheekbones that looked a lot like Cooper’s face, she had coopers eyes but they were hazel gold. She looked extremely young until she smiled and the wrinkled revealed them. The smile also was given to cooper, she seemed happy, and even as I approved the bar she looked at me, “What can I get you?” her motherly voice rang in my ears.
“I’ll take a latte and a conversation with you about your son Cooper, Ms. Moore.” Her face fell as I said coopers name.
“That is really not something I’m comfortable talking about with…”
“Kurt Hummel, I’m Coopers Nurse.” I told her holding my hand out to shake.
She reluctantly took it and asked, “What happened to the pretty girl I was paying to keep him happy?”
I was shocked as I assumed the pretty girl was Olivia, who knew she was taking extra money in, “He doesn’t want happiness anymore, he just wants the truth.”
“I can’t give him the truth, up until now everything has been just fine, I didn’t have to worry about Cooper, or Steve, not even Blaine. I like my new life, so he can rot in that hospital. And Blaine too.”
“How could you say that about your own flesh and blood?”
“Cooper was just a way to get Steven to stay with me after college; Blaine was the aftermath of too many drinks at a New Year’s Eve party. I have only ever wanted my husband, the kids were just ways to keep him until they became a disappointment just like out marriage.” She said. I actually felt sorry for her; she was a pathetic woman, mother, and wife.
“If you really want to be free from all of his set your sons free, where is Blaine, since he isn’t dead.” I asked.
“He is dead, he has been dead to me since he decided he was gay, and the government considers a comatose patient, or and brain dead vegetable of a being dead.” She said in a cold tone. “I'm not letting Cooper out, and no one knows where Blaine is.”
“You’re pathetic, why do you want to keep ruining everyone’s life, and just so you know, being gay isn’t a choice.” I hissed at her.
“Get out of my bakery.” She crossed her arms over her chest.
“Sign the papers to let him out.” I said digging them out of my brief case. I flattened them on the bar table and clicked the pin for her.
“I don’t want to see him. If I sign these, no one comes to contact me,“ she complied snatching the pen from my hand, “I mean it.”
I put the papers away, “And Blaine, where is he?” she stared at me. “Kathryn, end it all of it, get this secret out your life, I swear no one will come looking for you.”
“Lima hospital,” she said before her voice cracked and she turned to run back to the kitchen. In the reflection of the fridge I saw her break down and began to cry.
“Enjoy your life.” I mumbled walking out of the bakery.
