"Hey Coop,"
I looked up from my chess game and saw my beautiful nurse, Olivia, but she lets me call her Liv. "Liv, is it 9pm already?" I glance towards my 2x4 window unsure if it was night fall.
"Yes, time to turn in. But tell me, how was your day?" She sat at the edge of my bed.
"Good, Blaine is kicking my ass at chess right now. Look at this kid go." I pointed to my chess board to show Liv.
"You can still win." She stood and walked over moving my queen to check his king.
"Damn she is good, I didn't think you'd see that," Blaine said to me.
I smile, "thank you, Blaine says you’re good at this," I told her.
"Well maybe Blaine and I will have to play one day." She smiled, "but until then, it's time for bed."
Blaine sighed and I mimicked his sadness. We move from the desk, he goes to my couch I lie in my bed. Liv sits in a chair beside me, "I am mentoring a new nurse tomorrow," she told me.
"That's cool," I commented.
"And I was wondering if I could share you with him." She added with a flirtatious smile.
"As long as I don't have to share you with him." I smile back at her.
"Eww, get a room," Blaine says but I ignore him just gazing into her gentle brown eyes.
"Nope, no sharing, he's gay. Beside, you're my favorite, just don't tell anyone or I'm forced to deny it." Her snow white teeth sparkled as she stood and placed the chair back.
"Good night Cooper," she said. "Night Blaine!"
"Good night Liv," my brother and I said at the same time.
She turned out the light and Blaine started yapping. "God you too are so cute together just ask her out already, I bet she will say yes."
"No I can't ask her out... she Liv, I've known her to long." I told Blaine snuggling into my pillow.
"That's my point; your kids would look like Zooey Deschanel." He perks up.
"Whoa hold your horses buddy, you told me to go out with her not get hitched and pop out some babies." I laughed shaking my head.
"But still, you should ask her out," Blaine laid horizontally on the couch and closed his eyes falling asleep instantly, he slowly pulled me to dream land with him.
