Kurt slid into the seat next to Blaine during the last hour that day.
Looking up in surprise, Blaine didn't say anything. He knew Kurt was still avoiding him. They locked eyes and Kurt gave him a weak smile, "I'm sorry," he whispered.
"You are?" Blaine was confused. Kurt was angry with him, so why was he apologizing? Wasn't Blaine the one at fault?
Holding up a finger, Kurt nodded at Mrs. Francis who had just entered the room, telling the class to quiet down. He then ripped out a piece of paper from his notebook and scribbled on it neatly. He passed it to Blaine. I overreacted and I'm sorry. This is all new for both of us and I just panicked. I don't blame you for not calling. It didn't really help that I disappeared.
Blaine wrote back I just want you to be okay with it. I didn't know how you felt after you left the warehouse and then you were just... gone.
Sitting up tall in his seat, Kurt frowned at the note Blaine slid to him, before he wrote Sorry about that. My dad's been sick for a while. We had a rough week and I just didn't have the strength to deal with that and you know who. Kurt passed the paper back to him.
Voldemort? Or Karofsky? Blaine smiled to himself, hoping he could get a smile out of Kurt.
it worked. A small smile appeared on Kurt's lips, but he never sent another note to Blaine. He didn't even look at him for the rest of the period. He didn't seem to notice Blaine was there, until they were packing up at the end of the hour and Kurt grabbed Blaine's arm. "Will you do me a favor?" he asked.
Standing up, Blaine replied, "that depeneds on what you want."
Swallowing hard, Kurt said, "Are you aware that the glee club kids are having a party this Friday night? Mercedes invited me. Rachel didn't want her to, because she's mad at me, but no one ever cares what Rachel thinks." He shouldered his bag and said, "anyway, I was wondering if... you'd want to go with me. Not as a date or anything, but Mercedees said she didn't think you were going and - "
Blaine put a finger to his lips and smiled, "you talk too much. I wasn't going to go, because I don't really fit in with the glee club."
"It'd be a good chance for you to get to know them better," Kurt pointed out.
He shrugged, "I don't know, Kurt." He was right, because Blaine didn't interact with too many people at the school, but he felt better closing himself off. At least he couldn't get hurt that way.
They shuffled toward the door, making their way into the hallway. "Pleeease. I don't really want to go either. It's at Puck's house and I'm sure there's going to be more than just glee kids there. I want to have someone I know there," Kurt didn't take his eyes off of Blaine.
Swinging his locker door open, Blaine said, "well, what about Mercedes?"
Kurt leaned against the lockers next to him and sighed, "it's hard. She's got other people to socialize with. I'm usually the awkward kid in the corner, alone."
"Why are you even going, if you don't want to?" he asked, raising a thick eyebrow at Kurt.
He sighed, "i owe it to the glee club. They were always so good to me, and I miss them. It'd be a chance to see them without getting judged by every kid in the school... I mean, that was sort of why I dropped out of glee."
Loading the books he would need for homework into his backpack, Blaine didn't reply. He zipped up his backpack, shut his locker and turned to Kurt. "Okay, fine. I'll go. I have nothing better to do on a Friday night anyway." There could be a million things he'd rather be doing, but it looked like the party was coming first on his list.
"Yes!" Kurt clapped his hands together. "As a thank you for agreeing to socialize, let me buy you a coffee."
Blaine smiled, "I guess socialization has its perks."
Friday came fast and Blaine could hardly remember most of the week. It was all a blur to him. He knew it was because he was dreading the end of the week.
"Are you going somewhere?" his mother asked from the kitchen sink, when he entered the room. "You look nice." She moved closer to him, adjusting his bowtie.
Blaine smiled at her, "thanks. I'm going out to a party with a friend."
"A friend, huh?" she beamed. "Who's this friend?"
Blushing, Baine said, "he's just a friend, I swear." They looked into each other's eyes, and Blaine couldn't help adding, "okay, his name is Kurt, and he's absolutely gorgeous." Mentally slapping himself, he hated how easy it was to give in to his mother. He hadn't been ready to tell anyone about Kurt yet, but it was too late now.
"Ha! i knew there had to be someone you were interested in at that school," she said, moving back to the sink to finish her dishes. "Are you, uh, picking him up or anything?"
Blaine cleared his throat, "actually, he's picking me up. He asked me to go, so he offered to drive me." He caught her eye and added, "mom, it's not a date, so please be nice when he gets here."
The doorbell rang, "I bet that's him now," she said, setting her dish towel down. Heading into the living room, Blaine followed her. She swung the door open and greeted him, "hi! You must be Kurt! I'm Brenda."
Kurt blushed, obviously aware that Blaine had mentioned him. It made Blaine smile, knowing it never took much to make Kurt blush. He just looked so beautiful when his pale cheeks lit up. It made Blaine feel good knowing he could do that to Kurt. "it's nice to meet you," he said sweetly, which made Blaine smile even more.
"Please, come in," she swung the door open wide, making room for him.
"Thank you," Kurt entered the living room. His eyes found Blaine and he grinned, "hey you."
Blaine waved, "you look nice."
Glancing down at his outfit, Kurt said, "thanks." It was simple for Kurt, a light blue polo shirt and black pants. His shirt complimented his eyes, Blaine noted.
"Should we get going?" Blaine asked, moving in Kurt's direction.
His mother seemed hesitant. she moved toward him and said, "be careful tonight, okay?"
Taking her hand, Blaine gave her a reassuring smile, "don't worry. I'll be home by eleven." He knew that wouldn't be enough for her, but she had to trust that he would try to be responsible.
She gave his cheek a soft pat and said, "have fun." She turned to face Kurt and said, "It was nice meeting you, Kurt."
"You too, Mrs. Anderson," Kurt followed Blaine out the door.
Once they had gotten into Kurt's car, Kurt turned to Blaine and said, "I like your mom. She seems nice."
Smiling weakly, Blaine said, "she's great... it's been hard. She's been through a lot with my dad leaving and never getting the chance to see my brother and.. she just wants what's best for me, you know?" He hesitated before he asked, "let's try to make sure i am home by eleven, okay?"
Backing the car out of the driveway, Kurt said, "I can make sure that happens."
"I didn't know he drank," Tina stared at Blaine, a disgusted look on her face.
Setting the cup Blaine had given him on the ground, Kurt said, "I didn't either. Everyone's entitled to do what they want, I guess." He wasn't thrilled. So far, he liked everything about Blaine, but Kurt didn't care for the idea of drinking, and he was hoping Blaine wasn't too into it.
After all, they were still learning about each other. There could be a lot about Blaine he didn't know.
He continued to watch Blaine interact with people he had never talked to before. Of course, many people Kurt didn't know had arrived at the party. There had to be at least a hundred people there, and Blaine was making himself vocal to anyone that would listen to him.
"Uh oh," Tina's eyebrows were raised. "Guess who's headed in Blaine's direction."
Kurt followed her line of vision to find Karofsky walking toward Blaine, "oh, this can't be good. Excuse me." He made his way toward them. Karofsky would obviously harass a drunk Blaine. he could only imagine how badly this would end.
When he approached them, he heard Karofsky say, "man, why do these gay club people gotta ruin the party? This is why certain members of the football team shouldn't be a part of something so stupid."
Blaine, who was looking really unfocused, retorted, "you're just jealous. You wish you could be a part of it!"
"What makes you think that?" Karofsky moved closer, eyes looking dangerous.
"isn't it... isn't it obvious?" Blaine slurred, giving a soft laugh.
In one swift movement, Karofsky grabbed him by the shirt and asked, "what's obvious, Anderson?"
"You joining gay club! Why wouldn't you, since you're gay?" Blaine didn't seem threatened by any of this, but Kurt felt his stomach flip. This could only get worse from here.
Everyone around them laughed, but Karofsky looked alarmed, "no, I'm not."
"Sure, you are, because Kurt told me," Blaine said matter-of-fact. With that, he swayed on the spot and retched all over Karofsky's pale red shirt.
With a loud shout, Karofsky threw Blaine away from him, and Blaine hit the floor hard. He turned to look at Kurt, giving him the scariest look Kurt had ever seen, making him feel like he could throw up as well. He ducked into the crowd. He had to find a way to get out of this. He couldn't deal with this, not tonight, not while he was responsible for the person who spilled Karofsky's biggest secret.
He turned and sprinted out of the room, making his way into the dining room. He crashed into someone and nearly knocked them over. "Sorry!" he quickly apologized. He wasn't really paying attention. He was too busy scanning the room for a way out.
"Woah, hey, it's okay," it was someone he had never seen before. At least it was someone who couldn't give him away, if Karofsky asked where he went.
He could hear Karofsky looking for him, calling, "where's Hummel?" through the living room. He had to act fast.
"Where's the bathroom?" he asked.
The guy pointed behind him, "through there."
Quickly dodging through people, Kurt ran down the hall to the bathroom, but the door was locked. "Damn it," he mumbled. He dashed back to the dining room and out the back door, making his way around the side of the house. By now, Karofsky was probably looking in the dining room.
Kurt waited a moment, ducking underneath a window frame.
He was dead.
He was more than dead.
This was bad.
What the hell was he thinking when he told Blaine? He knew there was a reason he hesitated about telling him. He should have known something like this would happen, and it was worse that Blaine announced it in front of everyone.
He had to get both of them out of there.
Making his way back through the front door, Kurt scanned the living room. He saw Blaine dancing with some random girl, but he didn't see Karofsky. He dashed over to Blaine and pulled him away from the girl, "time to go"
Tugging his arm out of Kurt's grasp, Blaine protested, "no, I'm having fun."
Yanking on Blaine's arm, Kurt said, "no, Blaine. Ugh, we're leaving right now." Once again, he scanned the room, so sure Karofsky was going to jump out behind someone and get him. "Let's go!"
Blaine slapped his hand away, "No, Kurt!"
What could he do to convince Blaine to go with him?
Kurt stared at the girl Blaine had been dancing with, who was watching them with a confused look on her face. Kurt leaned close to him and whispered so only Blaine could hear, "If you come with me, I'll kiss you."
Blaine's eyes widened, and he looked at the girl behind him, "sorry, I'm gonna go with him. He's a better kisser than you."
Holding back a laugh, Kurt dragged Blaine out the front door and down the sidewalk to his car. Blaine was lucky he didn't know that girl or word would get out that he was gay too.
Once Blaine was in the car, Kurt shut his door and went around to the driver's side. He shut the door and Blaine was practically in his lap within seconds. "Blaine," he sighed heavily.
"Hi," Blaine smiled.
Kurt pulled away, "woah... your breath."
Leaning in close to him, Blaine whispered, "kiss me."
Pushing Blaine away, Kurt replied, "not now. We have to get out of here first. When we're out Karofsky's range, then maybe you'll get lucky." But don't count on it, because your breath smells horrible, he thought.
The damn puppy-dog eyes Blaine gave him melted Kurt's brain, "you said you'd kiss me."
Kurt sighed, "I know, but your breath smells horrible and I just want to get out of here."
"One kiss," Blaine pleaded.
He had no choice. Blaine wouldn't let it go. Kurt gave him a quick peck on the lips and said, "now sit down and buckle your seat belt. I'm taking you home."
Jumping, Blaine's back pressed against the horn, "no!"
This was going to be harder than he thought. Blaine was so stubborn when he was drunk. "Shh, Blaine. Don't. You'll give us away." He shoved Blaine off his lap, and Blaine slid in the seat next to him, crossing his arms over his chest. Kurt rolled his eyes, "are you done? Buckle your seat belt."
"You can't take me home," Blaine said, his voice shook.
"What? Why?" Kurt was growing irritated, as he backed the car out of the space he was parked in. "You said you had to be home by eleven, remember?"
"Please, don't," Blaine was pleading with him. Why was he pleading with him?
Kurt frowned, "I don't understand."
Blaine reached for the steering wheel and Kurt pushed his hand away, "Blaine stop, don't do that while I'm driving."
"Don't take me home," Blaine said coldly. A long silence followed this and Blaine finally said, "my mom can't see me like this."
Kurt stole a glance at him, he looked miserable. His eyes were still unfocused and Kurt wasn't sure what was going through his mind, "you promised her you'd be home." Again, Blaine didn't say anything, so Kurt continued, "If i... take you home with me," he was already regretting that, because Burt would kill him, "you can call her and tell her you're staying at Tina's house tonight, okay? i don't want her getting any ideas about you staying with me."
"You're the best," Blaine said, sounding less miserable now. "You know I still want to kiss you."
Laughing, Kurt said, "I know."
Stealing another glance at Blaine, he noticed that Blaine's eyes were glued to him. "I always want to kiss you, Kurt. did you know that?" Blaine grinned.
He blushed. Jeez, even a drunk Blaine could make him blush. Perfect. "I'm sure you do," Kurt said, pulling into his driveway. "You have to be quiet, okay? I'm sure my dad's sleeping by now."
He walked around to Blaine's side of the car and opened it for him. Blaine wobbled and Kurt had to steady him. "Come on, I'll take you to my room." He led Blaine into the house and upstairs. They made a little more noise than he hoped, because Blaine couldn't keep himself upright. "So, uh, you can stay here," he set Blaine on the bed.
"What about you?" Blaine's eyebrows raised, the corners of his mouth upturned.
"I will sleep on the couch," Kurt told him. "That way, when my dad or Carole come downstairs in the morning, they'll find me and not you." He reached into his dresser and pulled out a pair of pajamas, "here, you can change into these."
Standing up, Blaine pulled his shirt over his head. He had a little trouble, but eventually got it. He then stumbled over to Kurt and grabbed the bottom of his shirt. "Arms up," he mumbled.
Dazed, Kurt did as Blaine said. He instantly wished he hadn't. There was just something about Blaine's perfect torso that made him lose sense of everything.
"Yeah, definitely want to kiss that," Blaine announced to the quiet room.
Once again, Kurt felt his cheeks burning. Damn Blaine and his damn comments.
"Go to sleep, Blaine," Kurt said, pulling away from him.
Grabbing Kurt by the waist, Blaine said, "not yet." He buried his face in Kurt's shoulder and kissed his cool skin. He then moved his lips up to Kurt's neck and kissed every inch of skin he could find.
The stupid thing was that Kurt gave in as soon as he felt Blaine sucking on his neck. "You should... go... to mmm." He closed his eyes and stood there for a moment.
Blaine stopped and looked into his eyes. "Kiss me," he said again.
Foolishly, Kurt did just that. He kissed Blaine, hard. He kissed him until he felt dizzy. He kissed him until he felt himself losing his mind.
For a second time, Blaine moved his lips lower down Kurt's body. His hands paused at Kurt's waist and they locked eyes. Kurt shook his head and said, "too soon." And just like that, he touched his lips to Blaine's one last time.
When they broke, Kurt moved Blaine closer to the bed and said "go to sleep." He waited while Blaine crawled into the bed and pulled the covers over him. "Good night, Blaine."
"Good night, Kurt," Blaine barely mumbled, his voice low and tired.
Bending over, Kurt gently kissed the top of his forehead, before he left the room to sleep on the couch.
Head pounding, Blaine sat up and tried to focus on his surroundings.
He had no idea where he was. The room was unfamiliar. it was white and had quite a bit of decor. Pretty classy. Where was he? How did he get there?
"Morning," he heard someone say.
He turned to see who it was. "Kurt?" he asked.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Kurt said, "let me guess, you don't remember last night?" When all Blaine did was shake his head, Kurt pulled the scarf he was wearing down so Blaine could see the bruise visible on his neck. "I have a pretty good memory of what happened."
He gaped at Kurt, "did I do that?"
Simply nodding, Kurt said, "oh yeah."
"Why am i even here?" Blaine sat up. "I told you to take me home. What's wrong with you?" He crawled out of bed and began looking for his phone, which was on the night stand. He had six missed calls from his mom. "Oh, shit," he mumbled. "she's probably so worried."
He dialed his mom's number and as soon as her voice came through the phone, Blaine heard relief rush through her voice, "Blaine, honey. Are you okay? Where are you? I tried calling..."
Pulling the covers off of him, Blaine said, "mom, I'm fine. I stayed with Kurt last night... Nothing bad happened. He just..." he had to think on his feet. What could he tell her? He didn't want to make it look like Kurt was the one drinking, because she wouldn't want him hanging around a crowd like that. He couldn't tell her that he was drinking, that'd be even worse. In the end, he thought of the note Kurt wrote him the other day in class, "Kurt's dad has been sick and he was just... upset last night and wanted someone to be there for him."
She seemed hesitant, and Blaine wasn't sure he had her convinced. When she spoke her voice was soft, "Okay, sweetie. Just make sure you're home soon, okay? I think we should talk."
He knew exactly what that meant. "OKay, I'll be there in about half an hour. Love you." He hung up, once she said goodbye.
He tossed his phone on the bed next to him and looked at Kurt, who was staring at Blaine with a sad look in his icy blue eyes. "What's wrong?" Blaine asked.
Kurt sighed, running his finger along the pattern in his bedspread, "why would you use my dad's sickness as an excuse for your drinking?"
Guilt clenched at his stomach. If he had known Kurt was going to be offended by that, he could have come up with something different. "I-i'm sorry. I wasn't thinkng. I just... couldn't tell her the truth. She's so protective of me... I just couldn't tell her the truth." He ran a hand through his curls. "She'd just freak out."
"Over-protective parent... I know what that's like," Kurt said quietly. He seemed sincere, but his eyes were still avoiding Blaine.
"Yeah..." Blaine said lamely, not really sure how else to respond to that. Kurt knew how it felt to have his dad worry more than he should, but he had no idea just what Blaine's mom was like.
Kurt smiled weakly, finally looking at him, "Your hair looks better without all that gel."
Once again, Blaine ran his hand through it. Of course it was a mess. He had probably slept wild last night. "Nah, it's terrible."
Moving closer to him, Kurt asked, "Do you think people will make fun of you?"
"What do you mean?"
Kurt reached up, gently brushing a strand of hair off his forehead, "your hair. You hate it, right? Is it because you think people will make fun of you for it? Is that why you gel it down?"
He wasn't sure how to answer that. He didn't think that was the case. He just didn't care for the way he looked with all that untame hair. "oh, I don't know."
So close that Blaine could hear every breath he took, Kurt said, "I'm sorry I called you a coward, Blaine... You have every right to be afraid of what people will think of you, even if it was just your hair."
Shaking his head, Blaine said, "Kurt, you don't have to apologize. I'm over it."
"Yeah, actually I do," Kurt's voice was so soft. "last night, you told..." he paused, taking a deep breath. "You told Karofsky that I told you about him being gay. He was really pissed. And I'm... terrified of going to school Monday." He was silent for a moment, before he continued. "I thought about all the hell I've been through, and it still scares me every time he gives me a cold look. I'm sure you know how that feels, and I never should have called you a coward for trying to avoid that pain again."
Reaching out, Blaine placed his hand on top of Kurt's hand that started shaking. "Kurt, don't..."
But Kurt continued with tears in his eyes, "I was upset after the kiss, and I was angry with you, because I didn't know what any of it meant. I didn't want it being something I regretted, and then I just didn't hear from you. I was hurt, and I don't know how to let my guard down half the time, so I just took my anger out on you, and I'm sorry."
Without a second thought, Blaine leaned over and kissed Kurt. He was gentle, because he knew Kurt was feeling vulnerable, but Kurt didn't pull away. Instead, Kurt shuddered, pulling his hand up to entwine his fingers in Blaine's messy curls.
Kissing Kurt's cheek, Blaine tasted the tears that were falling. "You don't have to apologize."
Kurt whimpered, as he gently bit down on Blaine's lip. "I'm not angry with you," he whispered.
Blaine stroked the back of Kurt's hand with his thumb, "shh. I know, it's okay." Blaine kissed him again and Kurt gave in, as tears continued to fall down his cheeks.
He couldn't really understand why Kurt was crying, but he wanted to comfort him, and kissing him seemed to be enough. Blaine moved down Kurt's neck, until he found the bruise he couldn't remember leaving there. He gently pressed his lips to it. He continued to whisper to Kurt that everything was okay.
After a few senseless moments, Kurt pulled away. He wiped his tear-streaked face on his shirt and sniffed. "Last night..." he paused, taking a few deep breaths again. "I thought what happend between us would have been a one time thing, but..."
Placing a finger to his lips, Blaine said, "i'm honest when I'm drunk. If I did something to you," he eyed the bruise on Kurt's neck. "It's because I wanted it. I like you, Kurt."
Kurt smiled, his cheeks turning a slight pink, which made Blaine smile. "I like you too," he replied.
Taking his hand again, Blaine said, "I know we might not be like... a thing, and I don't know what this is..." he motioned between the two of them. "But I do like you, Kurt, and I'm not going anywhere. I'm sorry if I made things tense for you with Karofsky, but I'll stand by you through it. If you choose to go Monday, and Lord knows I wouldn't blame you if you skipped, I'll be there to help you."
"You will?" Kurt asked, his blue eyes swimming with tears again.
Blaine squeezed his hand, "I promise. I'm sorry my stupidity put you in this situation."
Kurt gave a weak laugh, "you didn't know what you were doing."
Stretching, Blaine crawled off the bed, changed back into the shirt he had on the night before. "I should go. My mom wants me home." He gave Kurt a quick kiss and said, "Thanks for letting me stay last night. I owe you. Coffee Monday?"
Kurt smiled, "it's a date."
Breathe in. Breathe out.
Kurt sat in his car for so long, he was late for his first period. He didn't know why he agreed to going to school that Monday. He should have just stayed home and waited out most of the week, giving Karofsky time to cool off.
But here he was, sitting in his car, willing himself to face the music.
He was so stupid for it.
There was just something about Blaine's honestly that gave him the courage he needed. Sure, he had slipped and told Karofsky his secret, but now he was willing to fight for his mistake.
"You know, I'm not very partial to tardiness," Blaine said next to him.
Sighing heavily, Kurt released the tight grip he had been holding on the steering wheel for fifteen minutes and sat back. "I'm sorry. I'm just so nervous. You don't have to stay here." He looked into Blains's hazel eyes, which had a brown-ish tint to them that day.
Blaine gave him a warm smile in return, "Kurt, i will sit here all day if I have to."
Reaching in the back for his bag, Kurt swung the car door open and said "it's now or never."
Blaine flung his door open and replied, "at least he's in class right now."
"I hope," Kurt replied.
Of course, luck wasn't on his side, and he ran into Karofsky almost right away.
Barely making it halfway to his first class, Karofsky slid out of nowhere and hoisted him up against a wall. Kurt saw Blaine freeze out of the corner of his eye.
"So... Lady Hummel, I'm surprised you showed today. i figured we wouldn't see your hideous face for a couple weeks. I'm sure you heard what your little boyfriend told me." His eyes flickered in Blaine's direction.
Kurt's eyes went wide, "I guess I'm stronger than you think."
"Or not," Karofsky tightened his grip. "I can't do much here because there's too many possible witnesses. meet me behind the school at five o'clock today. I swear, Hummel, you better show. if you don't, I promise you'll regret it even more than you regret telling him something you shouldn't have."
"I..." Kurt wasn't even sure how to respond.
"Five sharp," Karofsky let him go, shoved Blaine against a locker and walked away.
Breathing heavily, Kurt sank to the floor.
In seconds, Blaine was on the ground next to him. "we'll figure something okay, okay? I promise I won't let him hurt you. This was all my fault."
Kurt shook his head, "i can't do this anymore." His voice cracked and he willed himself not to cry in front of Blaine again.
Eyes full of guilt, Blaine sighed, "Kurt, I promise, everyhing will be fine."
Kurt looked into Blaine's eyes and said, "how do you know that?"
Taking his hand, Blaine replied, "because you have the strength to get through this. I don't know what's going to happen, but I promise that you can get through it. I know you can."
Giving him a weak smile, Kurt quietly said, "thank you, Blaine. You're a good friend."
They sat there for a moment, and Blaine didn't loosen his grip on his hand. When he finallly stood up, he held out his other hand for Kurt, who took it. Blaine pulled him to his feet and said, "I'll see you at lunch, okay?"
"Of course," Kurt agreed, before they went their seperate ways.
Heart beating quickly in his chest, Blaine felt nervous for, not only himself, but for Kurt. He didn't know what would happen with Karofsky but he knew that he would stand by Kurt's side through everything.
They sat in Kurt's car again, waiting for five o'clock to roll around. Most of the parking lot was empty, which was probably what Karofsky was hoping for.
"Are you ready?" Blaine asked, squeezing Kurt's hand.
Leaning his head back against the seat, Kurt sighed, "i'll never be ready for this."
"I'm right here," Blaine said quietly.
Turning his head to face him, Kurt gave him half a smile, "I know, and I appreciate that." He reached for the door handle and said, "since you are the one who got me in this situation."
Blaine crawled out of the car and said, "hey, like I said, I'm honest when I'm drunk!"
"Uh-huh. I noticed," Kurt huffed, leading Blaine to the back of the school.
As soon as they turned the corner, Kurt took in a sharp breath and Blaine took a hold of the back of his shirt. "it's okay," he whispered. But he knew it wasn't, because Karofsky wasn't alone.
