Kurt had planned for Mercedes to sleep over on Saturday night so he wasn’t alone. It also gave him a real excuse to get Blaine out of the house as he (correctly) assumed that Blaine would keep trying to get in his pants.

“Seriously, Mercedes is going to be here any minute!” Kurt pleaded as Blaine once again started kissing his neck.

“I don’t mind an audience.” Blaine’s lips spoke against the Kurt’s pulse. This could have been a really sexy thing to say if he wasn’t imagining Mercedes face if ever she saw them make out. Kurt pushed Blaine off and lead him upstairs to the living room where Blaine put his boots back on to leave but to Kurt’s complete alarm, there was a rap at the door.

“Oh my god she’s here and you’re here! No, no, no, no, no…” Kurt trailed off into a whisper and turned around as though he was going to start pacing to think of a plan. That’s when Blaine decided to open the door for a very shocked, then confused, then disbelieving Mercedes. She stood there and stared at Blaine for a minute with a dropped jaw.

“You just gonna stand there?” Blaine asked with a sly smirk. Mercedes’ eye sight shifted to Kurt who was looking very guilty with a head full of messed up hair and multiple fresh hickeys peaking past his shirt. Her eyes widened and she looked back and forth between the two boys for a moment before slowly walking in. She was clearly putting the pieces together and her face was twisted in multiple expressions and Kurt could almost hear the cogs turning in her brain.

“Well, I’ve had my fun with him. Your turn.” Blaine quipped, winked and Kurt and left the house without another word, leaving Mercedes and Kurt looking at the now-closed door. Mercedes then turn around to face her friend, eyes still wide but a smile slowly forming on her mouth.

“I knew it! I knew something was going on! Why didn’t you just tell me?” She asked with a mixture of excitement and frustration in her voice as she whacked Kurt's arm with the back of her hand.

“Because there’s nothing to tell! He was helping me with math and I was helping him with French.” Kurt said defensively.

“Oh I’m sure plenty of frenching went on.” She laughed at her own joke and Kurt turned a blush pink shade. “You know I’ll be happy for you, why won’t you just talk to me?” She continued. Kurt sighed and looked at her, deciding it was as good a time as any to talk about it. It wasn't that he didn't trust Mercedes but he was kind of embarrassed that he had gotten with Blaine despite his reputation as a bad boy.

“Because honestly, I don’t know what it means. I mean he’s all over me but we don’t really talk that much, he smokes and, worst of all, he dresses like he stepped out of an 80’s rock concert.” Kurt had walked over to the couch and flopped down whilst Mercedes got her phone out to order them some food. Mercedes chortled at his last point.

“But do you like him?” She asked simply as she passed him the phone. Kurt paused as he scrolled through the menu of the Chinese place Mercedes had chosen and added a veggie stir fry with sweet and sour chicken. He passed the phone back to her and sighed.

“I like the way he makes me feel and the attention he gives me. I like that he’s really smart - did you know he speaks like 5 languages? - and he has a really vast taste in music but-“

“Kurt that’s already like, a lot of things considering you’ve known him for like a week.” She interrupted.

“That’s the other thing, I’ve only known him a week. What if, well what if he’s just doing this to, you know, get laid or something? I mean you've seen the way he looks at my butt and when he does talk to me it's usually something vulgar.” A timid voice that Kurt thought did not sound like his own had emerged at the end of the sentence. Mercedes put her phone down and looked back in the direction of the front door as if the space Blaine had previously occupied would give her some clarity on how to reassure her best friend and navigate the situation that she had learnt about mere minutes prior.

“Kurt, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have some suspicions about this kid but don’t you think it’s at least worth giving it a shot? Maybe he’ll surprise you.” She said with sincerity. Kurt gave her a small smile and they put on project runway, waiting for their food. They spent the rest of the weekend outfit planning for the week ahead and watching TV. Kurt may have slipped in a few attempts to get Mercedes to give in to Sue and rejoin the cheerios but he was met with a ‘hell to the no’ or a glare every time so he eventually dropped it.

Monday rolled around quicker than Blaine would have liked. He was awoken by Maricar cursing in Filipino as she tripped over one of Blaine’s shoes downstairs in the foyer. He opened his eyes with a start.

"Ok ka lang ba?" He called out asking if she was ok.

"Ayos lang ako. Isa lang ito sa mga pakinabang ng pagkakaroon ng teenager na anak." Maricar was fine but made a dig about having a teenage son.

" Paumanhin! Mahal kita." Blaine apologised and told her he loved her.

"Mahal din kita" She replied and Blaine heard the door close as she left for work which was currently planning meetings for the development.

After a yawn and a stretch, Blaine rolled himself out of bed and got in the shower to start getting ready. He knew he had French with Kurt first period and as much as he had actually had a good time at Kurt’s over the weekend, he was starting to feel a little frustrated that his efforts hadn’t gotten him very far on Saturday. Something about Kurt had him feeling some kind of way he hadn't felt before but if Blaine ever let those feelings grow, he could end up getting so hurt and Blaine didn't think it was worth it. Whilst washing his curls, Blaine decided he would give it 3 more weeks so that he could say he’d tried for a month and then he’d move his target to someone a little easier. That way, he would have to lose this weird obsession he had.

He threw on a pair of black jeans and grabbed a plain grey t-shirt before heading grabbing a piece of toast and shovelling it in his mouth and leaving for school.

He walked into homeroom (on time, he might add proudly) and took his seat. Kurt was sat by him with his usual entourage, only this time, Mercedes gave him a small but genuine smile. Blaine figured Kurt must have told her what was going on, so he gave her a nod and turned back to his desk, pulled out his headphones and phone and put on some music to keep him awake during homeroom. He was a little curious about exactly what Kurt had said, it couldn't have been anything too bad otherwise he was sure Mercedes wouldn't be smiling. His thoughts were soon interrupted by a muffled voice.

“You coming?” Blaine saw Kurt’s skin-tight light wash jeans standing in front of him. He looked up and took off his headphones.

“What?”

“The bell rang, we’ve got French. Come on! I wanna hear if I actually made an impact.” Kurt said with an odd amount of pep for a Monday morning. Blaine picked up his bag and followed Kurt out, admiring the wonderful view of Kurt's ass. He tried to think of some clever line to use but he was tired and the Monday blues always hit Blaine hard so he just went with the first thing that came into his head.

“Getting my heart racing in your skin-tight jeans, babe.” Blaine just as they sat down in French. He watched at Kurt’s eyes widened and then he stifled a laugh.

“Never pegged you as a Katy Perry fan.”

“You've never pegged me, period.” Blaine retorted with a hint of bitterness. Kurt just rolled his eyes and pulled his books out of his satchel. Clearly choosing to ignore Blaine’s previous comment, Kurt continued-

“So, how was the rest of your weekend?”

Blaine gave Kurt a side eyed glance and and furrowed his brows slightly. Blaine didn’t do casual chat, what was the point in it? It wasn't going to help his situation any further, if anything it was just awkward. He thought about his answer for a brief moment before responding.

“You know, whatever.” Kurt carried on looking in his direction as if expecting something more but after a few seconds, Blaine made no attempt at furthering his answer.

“Ever the conversationalist.” He finally replied.

“If it’s not you moaning my name then I don’t wanna hear it.” Blaine thought he was being somewhat witty with his response, keeping it light but Kurt huffed and turned back to face the front of the class and didn’t speak to Blaine for the rest of the class. Not exactly what he was hoping for - why couldn’t Kurt just loosen up a little and have some fun? Everything seemed so serious with him. He followed Kurt’s lead and kept to himself for the day, other than the odd wink if he was walking past or sitting next to Kurt, a lingering hand brushing pasting his leg, just to stay on Kurt’s mind.

Tuesday (Blaine’s favourite day as he would sneak off to watch Kurt at cheerios practice during lunch) went very much the same as Monday. Kurt seemed to be ignoring Blaine or at least not making the effort to speak to him unless necessary. He didn't even look over to the bleachers or do his sassy little ass shake for Blaine's enjoyment. By Thursday, Blaine was getting restless. He had given himself a month to get into Kurt’s pant’s before giving up and the second week was almost over. He found remembered that Kurt had his little show choir rehearsals on Thursday’s so there was no point trying to find him after school, instead he just opted for a text. It would probably be easier anyway since Kurt was being weird. If this was happening with any other guy, Blaine would have walked away, he didn't need the drama but it felt as though he might not be able to drop Kurt until he had him.

Kurt took a seat in the back row of the choir room as Mr Schue walked in. He didn’t say anything but went straight to the board and wrote the word ‘sexy’. Kurt felt his face twist into confusion and felt a little creeped out.

“Sexy.” Mr Schue said breathily.

“I really hope that’s not a requirement for nationals because with Berry in those tights, we don’t stand a chance.” Immediately he smiled at Santana’s impeccably quick wit.

“It’s come to my attention that some of you have been struggling to navigate the... intricacies of adulthood, especially when it comes to relationships and what they can lead to.” Kurt had absolutely no idea why Mr Schue thought it was appropriate for him to be teaching this but he agreed that a lot of the kids in glee were totally clueless. Brittany had been telling people she was pregnant because there was a bird that had made a nest outside her window - she thought it was getting ready to bring her a baby. Oh and last year, Finn thought he had gotten Quinn pregnant by making out with her in a hot tub. But, Kurt would much rather leave it to someone else to educate them and focus on coming up with a setlist for sectionals which was in a mere 3 months. He raised his hand to interject.

“Mr Schue, is this really the time or place to be discussing this? I mean shouldn’t we be preparing for sectionals?” Mr Schue gave an acknowledging smile and replied-

“Well actually, I thought we could use this as an opportunity to explore music that could help us with the lesson and maybe step outside our comfort zones. As I’m sure most of you will be aware by now, Vocal Adrenaline are not eligible to compete this year but you all saw the variety of songs they were able to execute last year. We need to follow suit! So I want you all to find songs with sex appeal and find a way to look into the deeper meaning. Maybe you'll learn something about yourselves in the process!" Mr Schue was clearly trying too hard to make this lesson acceptable, he just wanted a chance to impress Miss Pillsbury, the guidance councillor by inserting himself into her field. Puck volunteered himself to sing a song (figures) and Kurt’s phone buzzed. He pulled it out of his pocket and saw Blaine’s name pop up.

Study date this weekend? My place ;) - Blaine

Kurt felt his heart palpitate at the offer. He had been trying to stay away from Blaine for a bit. Kurt thought that their time together over the weekend might have opened Blaine up a bit more and encouraged him to explore something other than their sexual chemistry. Ironically, as much as Kurt would never admit it, he and Blaine could both benefit from Mr Schue’s slightly creepy lesson plan. He wanted to spend more time with Blaine but Kurt could feel himself actually liking him and until he knew Blaine felt the same, he didn’t want to give too much of himself away. Although, he was very curious to see Blaine’s house. Kurt wasn’t listening to Puck’s not so subtle way of wooing Lauren Zizes (He sang Fat Bottomed Girls), he was heavily weighing his options and didn’t want to make a rash decision.

Did you need more help in French? - Kurt

He decided to dodge the question for now but not completely shut the offer down and within minutes, Blaine has responded.

Frenching and chemistry ;) - Blaine

A pit was forming in Kurt’s stomach. Blaine just wanted to make out and… stuff. To say he was disappointed would be an understatement. He decided not to reply for now and to consult Mercedes about it before they left, seeing as she knew now.

“Damn boy, he invited you to his house? You gotta go and tell me what it’s like!” She said with a spark of excitement.

“I want to but I’m not sure that I’m ready.” Kurt said honestly.

“Kurt he’s hot. If it were me I’d be jumping at the chance, I mean how often do we get hot guys banging down our doors? Plus, you said you like him so, go for it!” Kurt sighed. She was right and it certainly wasn’t going to go anywhere if he didn’t put the effort in. Maybe Blaine had felt him pulling away this week and was masking a request to see him? He said goodbye to Mercedes and walked to his car before texting Blaine back.

Fine. Text me your address. What time? - Kurt

Kurt could feel his heart racing and his whole drive home he was listening vigilantly in case his phone buzzed again and almost reached to check it whilst driving but he was responsible enough to not text and drive. He pulled into his driveway and saw Blaine’s address which made him do a double take. It was in Riverside North, as in the very upper-class part of town. Kurt read the text a few times to make sure he was reading the address right and decided to go down to his room and open up google earth to look at the houses on Blaine’s street - they were almost mansions. He moved the curser on his laptop around until he saw the house with the number Blaine had texted him. Kurt suddenly felt very self conscious about his own house and remembered how Blaine was looking around when he first entered. Kurt looked around at his careful styled room and his worries started to fade. Kurt knew he had immaculate taste in interior decor so even if Blaine thought the house was small, at least his room was perfect.

On Friday, Kurt started to acknowledge Blaine again and of course, Blaine started taking advantage of this by upping his dirty remarks and flirtatious texts. Kurt ignored his more vulgar comments and tried to keep it PG. As sexy as Blaine was, Kurt was a sucker for romance like the kind in musicals and movies. He liked the attention Blaine was giving and he liked the glimpse of Blaine that he caught over the weekend but for some reason, Blaine was intent on making Kurt feel uncomfortable in public. He wondered how many people Blaine had done this to and if it ever actually worked. He figured that at some point it must have worked considering he didn’t seem to change his tactics when Kurt didn’t totally give in after the first few tries.

Saturday came round way too fast and Kurt woke up after getting a total of around 5 hours of sleep which for Kurt was not enough, he was pretty strict on having at least 8 hours to keep sharp and avoid dark circles under his eyes. He didn't know why he was so nervous, it hadn't been this bad when Blaine came over last week. Perhaps that was because Kurt wasn't really sure on his feelings for Blaine? But how much could things have really changed in a week, surely there was nothing to be apprehensive about, all this was, was a chance for Kurt to get to know Blaine even more and continue to peel back those layers.

After spending an hour getting ready and picking out an outfit, he finally emerged upstairs to find his Dad and Carole sitting at the table having a coffee and talking.

"Hey honey." Carole's warm voice greeted him.

"Morning Carole, Dad!" Kurt walked over and poured himself an orange juice.

"Morning? Kurt it's nearly 11am!" His Dad said with surprised tone.

"That's still morning Dad."

"Late morning, I thought you might be sick." Burt said with a grunt. Kurt's heart started beating a little faster as he could feel the questioning coming on.

"I was just having a slow morning, it's been a busy week and I was a little tired." He had told his Dad he was going out today to meet some friends but was careful not to go into specifics. Kurt wasn't a liar and didn't want to be dishonest with his Dad, especially. Burt accepted Kurt's response and carried on sipping his coffee. Kurt caught up with them briefly as he ate a little breakfast and then went back downstairs to pick up some books.

"I thought you were meeting your friends?" His Dad stopped him as he was heading to the hallway. Kurt's eyes widened in panic and he froze on the spot, had his Dad somehow found out about Blaine?

"Why're you bringing homework?" Kurt silently exhaled gratefully and turned around to face his Dad.

"I am but we're studying, I need some help in chemistry and they need serious help in French." Kurt said honestly. He decided that using the word 'they' was an acceptable slip around the truth. Burt nodded as if he was impressed, put a hand on Kurt's shoulder a gave it a squeeze.

"Proud of you kiddo, focusing so hard on school already this year." Kurt gave a weak smile, wanting nothing more than for his Dad to stop talking in case he gave anything away. There was also a small pang of guilt forming in his brain. He quickly said goodbye and headed out the door, ready to get to Blaine's for 12.30. Kurt put on a playlist in the car and sang along to help distract himself from his nerves but he was pulled out of his diversion when he noticed the houses getting grander. He pulled up outside Blaine's house and recognised it from when he had googled it last night (Blaine could never know that). Carefully parking his car on the curb outside, he took some deep breaths and checked his hair in the rear view mirror, deciding it was fine and got out of the car. He walked up to the large door and rang the doorbell. He could hear the chiming coming from inside but no one answered. After about 20 seconds of panicking thinking he had the wrong house, he heard a click and the door opened, revealing a very dishevelled looking Blaine who was squinting at the sunlight now beaming in his face.

"Oh um, hey. I thought you said 12.30? Sorry am I early?" Kurt felt the heat rising up his neck, what if he had gotten too excited and come early? Would Blaine think he was overly keen?

"No I must have overslept, come in." Blaine said groggily and stepped backwards to welcome Kurt in. Kurt was so focused on Blaine that he almost missed the magnificent house he had just entered. Kurt did a double take and finally started gazing around the huge living room he had just entered with the grand piano being somewhat of a focal point.

"Woah." Kurt whispered. Blaine was clearly still half asleep and hadn't noticed Kurt's bewilderment. He walked to a large curved staircase that lead to a mezzanine style second floor.

"Come on up, I'm just gonna shower then I'll be right with you." Kurt's attention turned back to Blaine at the thought of Kurt being alone in Blaine's room as he showered. What would he do with himself? He followed Blaine up the dark oak staircase and walked into Blaine's room. It was a large but simple room with only a few items of furniture in it, including a four-poster bed, a bookcase and a desk.

"Make yourself at home, I'll be right back." Blaine said with sleep still clouding his voice and he walked through a door in his room which Kurt figured must be his ensuite. Blaine would be completely naked just meters away from him. Kurt sat on the end of the bed and busied himself by taking out his books. He heard the shower start and he started looking at the room in some more detail. He noticed the bookshelf was packed full of classics and he even had the entire set of Harry Potter books which looked very used. Kurt smiled at the thought of Blaine, the vulgar bad-ass being engrossed in a Harry Potter book. He let his eyes wonder over to the desk which had a few sheets of paper laying untidily atop of it and a guitar (Blaine plays guitar???). Kurt stood up and crept over to the desk and as it came closer into view, Kurt realised he was looking at sheet music which looked like it had been written by hand. Kurt couldn't read music but it looked like a pretty complicated piece. He quietly walked back to the huge bed and just took in the entire room, realising there was clearly so much about Blaine he didn't know. This felt like such an intimate look into him, it made Kurt soften even more to Blaine. He was interesting and had some very attractive hobbies. One thing Kurt did notice however, was the lack of photographs in the room and come to think of it, in the house. Kurt's house was covered in pictures of his family and friends, especially his room. As lovely as the house was, it didn't look too much like a home. It reminded Kurt of those adverts for new build houses, where they would stage a house to look perfect. Kurt was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't hear the shower turn off and Blaine tapping his toothbrush against the sink so when the bathroom door opened, Kurt jumped out of his skin.

"I do live here you know." Blaine said with a chuckle. Kurt looked up to see Blaine with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist.

"Oh my god!" Kurt used one of his hands to cover his eyes and he heard Blaine walking further into the room.

"Once again, I do live here." He said. Kurt heard a drawer open and kept his eyes shut, this was absolutely not on his mental agenda for today.

"Just warn me next time!" Kurt cried.

"Ooh next time? I like the sound of that. " Clearly much more awake, Blaine was back to his usual self. "Kurt you can open your eyes." He said finally. Kurt removed his hand and opened one eye to check and there, in all his glory, was Blaine in a pair of straight legged black jeans. Kurt could see the waistband of his boxers peaking out just above and his eyes accidentally landed on the dusting of dark hair that lead down Blaine's stomach into his pants.

"I can take them back off if you'd like?" Blaine purred. Kurt looked away quickly and felt a flush of heat flood his cheeks. Blaine let out a short chortle and walked over to sit at his desk chair and he started to put on a pair of socks.

“I didn’t know you played the guitar.” Kurt said, trying to shift focus.

“Been snooping, have we?” Blaine teased.

“First of all, you left me alone whilst you showered because you woke up as I arrived so yeah maybe I looked around a bit and second, it’s literally right there, it didn’t take a lot of snooping.” Feeling a mixture of annoyance and defensiveness, Kurt replied. Blaine looked at him for a second and then nodded, accepting Kurt’s reasoning.

“Fair enough. Anyway, what did you wanna do today?” Blaine stood up and walked over to stand in front of where Kurt was sitting at the edge of his bed.

“I guess some more French for you and then maybe some-“ Kurt was cut off by Blaine putting a firm hand on Kurt’s cheek and kissing him. Kurt was completely caught off guard, he had barely noticed Blaine walking over but something about this boy just made him melt and before he even knew what he was doing, Kurt was kissing him back. Blaine must have taken that as a green light as he pushed Kurt back so he was under Blaine. Kurt could feel Blaine hardening against his own crotch and as good as it felt, Kurt was having an internal battle.

“Mm-wait.” He spoke against Blaine’s lips. Blaine lifted his head slightly to look at Kurt. His gorgeous dark hazel eyes staring back into his own.

“I just-I haven’t ever, you know. And I don’t know if I’m ready for-“

“Kurt relax, we’re just having fun.” Kurt felt a knot in his stomach and his throat started to close up a little. Blaine didn’t care about him, he just wanted sex. A tinge of anger started to grow and Kurt felt confident in his next statement.

“Can’t you tell this is important to me? If it’s only a bit of fun for you then I don’t want it.” Blaine’s eyes softened and his pupils dilated slightly. Blaine said nothing for a few moments, he just looked from one of Kurt’s eyes to the other, as if he was searching for something to say in them. After what felt like forever to Kurt, Blaine finally spoke.

“All I know is that I like spending time with you. I don’t know what else that means right now.” Blaine spoke in a whisper and lowered himself back down to connect with Kurt’s lips. It was so little but was surely a step in the right direction and Kurt felt elated. Deep down, Kurt knew that this wouldn’t be enough forever and he wanted to talk about it more but he was aware that this was a fragile situation and one wrong move could send Blaine back into his typical mindset. So for now, he just enjoyed the fact that he had a very hot, shirtless guy on top of him. His hands snaked around Blaine’s neck and he let them explore Blaine’s damp curls. Kurt felt more turned on now that he knew Blaine might like him back and his pants became tighter as Blaine deepened the kiss, slipping his tongue into Kurt’s mouth. Blaine must have felt Kurt’s now very solid bulge as his hands started to creep up Kurt’s t-shirt. The last time this happened, Kurt froze but he felt a little more comfortable now and decided to let it happen. Above the waist was fine for now. Blaine’s warm fingertips stroking his bare waist gave him shivers and he moaned slightly against Blaine’s lips, clearly driving Blaine crazy as he started to grind on Kurt which felt incredible. Kurt knew how hungry Blaine was for him and in this moment, Kurt felt the same. Blaine tugged Kurt’s t-shirt until it was nearly all the way up.

“Take it off?” Blaine asked after separating from Kurt’s lips. Kurt couldn’t form words so he just nodded and pulled it over his head, throwing it on the floor next to the bed. Blaine lowered himself back onto Kurt and allowed them both to enjoy the new sensation of skin on skin for a while before he started moving his way down Kurt’s neck and stopped at his chest to gently tease his nipples between his teeth. Kurt was panting even felt his hips twitch, he had never felt this turned on before. He tugged hard at Blaine's hair and started lifting his hips rhythmically to meet Blaines. Blaine left a few hickeys on Kurt’s chest and Kurt was so tempted to throw caution to the wind and let Blaine do whatever he wanted but thankfully, his brain was working just enough to remember that this was a big deal. He forced himself to sit up slightly and meet Blaine in the middle, catching his mouth again once more before pulling away.

“Maybe we should cool off a bit.” Kurt said breathlessly. Blaine exhaled audibly and groaned.

“Hey I told you that this is important to me Blaine. I’ve never done this before and I’m not ready to go any further right now.” Kurt said gently but sternly to ensure Blaine knew he wasn’t just being a tease. Blaine ran a hand through his hair and sighed.

“You’re driving me crazy.” He said with a little smile. Kurt rolled his eyes playfully and got off the bed to pick up his t-shirt and put it back on. He had to take a few deep breaths to regain control of his painfully hard cock.

“Anyway, we’ve got to get back to studying. You’re seriously behind on French seeing as you’re joining at Sophomore level.” Blaine had gotten up to find a t-shirt for himself and Kurt was a little disappointed that he wouldn’t be looking at a shirtless Blaine all day.

“Yeah but I’ll get there in the end. I’ve been listening to some French songs to try and get better at it.” Kurt was very surprised at this statement, he couldn’t imagine the 80’s rock-loving boy listening to French Jazz or something of the sort.

“Like what?” He asked curiously.

“Like... La Vie En Rose, for example. It actually has been helping me with pronunciation, I’ve been playing along to it.” Blaine replied casually.

“Show me?”

“What? No, come on I’ll just do some with you here.” Blaine said firmly.

“But I wanna hear you play it. Please?” Kurt batted his eyes at Blaine, causing him to smile and shake his head.

“I don’t play in front of people.” He said. Kurt paused before saying anything. He didn’t understand why, if Kurt could play an instrument it would be his entire personality. Blaine was so private about all these amazing skills he apparently has, the languages, the guitar, the love for classic literature. Maybe if he played a little at Blaine’s own game he could get him to play.

“There’s nothing sexier than a guy who can play guitar, you know.” Kurt said in his best flirty voice. Blaine squinted a little and cocked his head, Kurt figured he had sussed him out but it seemed to work anyway because he walked over to his desk and sat down, picking up his guitar as he did.

“I might not be one hundred percent there yet with the diction so don’t judge ok?” Kurt nodded keenly, he couldn’t believe he was about to hear Blaine sing. What if he was terrible? Or worse, what if he was better than him? His thought train was interrupted by the gentle strumming of the guitar.

“Des yeux qui font baisser les miens

Un rire qui se perd sur sa bouche

Voilà le portrait sans retouche

De l'homme auquel j'appartiens”

Blaine continued singing and Kurt felt his eyes widening. Blaine’s voice was insane. It was velvety smooth but occasionally there was a grit that would peak through on certain notes and damn he sounded good in French. Kurt also found out that he wasn’t kidding about the appeal of a guy playing a guitar. But it wasn’t in an objectifying way, it was raw, like Blaine was baring a piece of his soul. Kurt had stopped listening to the accuracy of the diction and instead was just completely mesmerised, so much so that he didn’t even notice the song wrapping up.

Et dès que je l'aperçois

Alors je sens en moi mon cœur qui bat

It’s a hard song so, you know.” Blaine finished and was just looking at his finger placement on the neck of the guitar. Kurt quickly wiped away a tear that fell from his eye. He was prone to getting emotional at a good performance. He didn’t even know what to say. Blaine looked back up at Kurt and furrowed his brows.

“What?” Kurt regained his senses and remembered he was supposed to reply.

“That was just, um, that was beautiful Blaine.” At this comment, it was Blaine’s turn to start blushing.

“Oh, thanks. It’s, you know, whatever.” Kurt could see that Blaine was feeling a little bashful about showing his talents but Kurt wasn’t ready for it to end.

“What about the song on your desk? Maybe you could play that for me?” Kurt asked. Blaine turned his head to look at the song.

“No, no it’s not even finished. Besides I only played that to prove that my French isn’t totally hopeless.” Blaine said quickly.

“And you did prove it! As far as I’m concerned that’s our lesson for today.” Kurt stood up and rushed over to the desk, picking up the score on Blaine’s desk and dropping it in Blaine’s lap. “And this looks pretty finished to me.”

“Kurt, no.”

“Why not?”

“Because, like I said, I don’t play in front of people.” Kurt sat back down in front of Blaine.

“I’m not people.” Kurt said hopefully but with a little bit of caution, in case Blaine closed off and started treating him like some random hook up again. Blaine sighed and bit the inside of his cheek as he contemplated his options.

“You’re not.” Blaine finally said. Kurt had to tense his face so hard to prevent himself from beaming at that admittance. Blaine replaced is fingers back on the neck of the guitar and started to pluck at the strings. Kurt noticed him fumble a little at first and Blaine looked reluctant to start singing.

I’ve seen his face, I’ve heard his name.

I’ve lost my place and he’s to blame.

And I can’t stand it when I’m staring in his eyes

And he’s not looking back,

It ain’t a big surprise.

I’ve heard music, I’ve heard noise

I wish that he could hear his voice

The way that I do when I go to sleep at night,

And dream my life away

But he’s gone when I awake.

Oh baby,

Oh baby,

Why can’t you see,

What you’re doing to me.

The way his hair falls in his eyes

Makes me wonder if he’ll

Ever see through my disguise

And I’m under his spell

Everything is falling and

I don’t know where to land

Everyone knows who he is

But they don’t know who I am

Oh baby

Oh baby

Why can’t you see

What you’re doing to me

I’ve seen you singing on that stage

Looking like an angel and all I do is pray

That maybe, one day you’ll hear my song

And understand that all along

There’s something more that I’m trying to say

When I say

Oh baby,

Oh baby

Why can’t you see

What you’re doing to me

Oh, What you’re doing to me

Blaine finished the song and looked down. Kurt’s heart was beating out of his chest. He has so many questions. Did Blaine actually write all of that on his own? And if so, who was it about? And was he still in Blaine’s life?

“That was really beautiful. D-did you write it?” Kurt knew it was a weak question to start with but he wasn’t quite ready to hear all about the guy that was so amazing that Blaine wrote a song about him.

“Yeah but it’s kind of a rough draft, not my most polished song.” Blaine said, now playing with the edge of the paper.

“Must be some guy to inspire such a song.” Blaine’s eyebrows raised for a second and Kurt could see a small smile forming on his lips. The same lips that had been kissing him not 10 minutes ago. Suddenly Kurt was very happy that things didn’t go any further. He felt so hurt, even though Kurt wanted Blaine to play the song, it still felt as though Blaine was rubbing it in his face that there was some guy out there that he was still thinking about. How could he say those things to Kurt as well, was it just to get into Kurt's pants? Kurt just wanted to leave and never see Blaine's face again. His first experience of anything and this was how it was going to end? With a song about another guy. He bit his tongue in an attempt to stop from choking up before he spoke.

“So I should probably go.” Kurt got up from the bed abruptly and started to make his way over to the door. He heard a commotion behind him as Blaine put down his guitar and jogged to catch up with Kurt.

“What the hell?” He said as he grabbed Kurt’s wrist. “What just happened?”

“Nothing, I just have to go.” Kurt said quickly, trying to pry his arm out of Blaine’s grip.

“No, you don’t. Did I do something wrong?” Blaine sounded genuinely confused and Kurt felt like slapping sense into Blaine. Blaine must have gathered that Kurt liked him by now and basically agreeing that there’s some amazing guy out there that Blaine is clearly still thinking about was kind of painful.

“I don’t know Blaine, did you?” Kurt turned around to look at Blaine who wore a dumbfounded expression. “You make out with me and keep planning these stupid study dates, all the while you’re writing songs about some other guy?” Kurt heard the anger in his own voice and took a deep breath to calm down. Blaine’s mouth parted a little and his eyes flickered at Kurt’s.

“Would you just sit down? Please?” Blaine asked quietly.

“Why should I? I told you I’m not here to be another notch on your belt.” Kurt snapped.

“Damn it Kurt, that wasn't about some other guy. It was about you, ok?” He dropped Kurt’s wrist and looked down. Kurt took a second to think about the lyrics and Blaine’s last sentence. “Whatever, maybe you should just-“ Kurt crashed his lips into Blaine's passionately.
