The first glee club rehearsal of the year finally rolled around on Thursday after school and Kurt could not have been more excited. Last year, the New Directions totally tanked Nationals after Rachel and Finn decided to make out after their duet, making literally every person in the theatre uncomfortable. But this year, even Rachel wouldn't let her love for Finn jeopardise her chance to win a competition in New York. After his day of lessons, Kurt hurried to the choir room and greeted his friends before taking a seat in the second row.

"Welcome back New Directions!" Mr Schuester called happily and was met with whoops and cheers from the club.

"As many of you guys already know, nationals are in New York this year so we have got work harder than we have ever worked before! I know it's only the first rehearsal back but I wanna get started on ideas for the set list for sectionals. The theme for sectionals is 'Vintage' so have a think about some songs that will blow the judges away!" And as if a button had been pushed, Rachel's hand shot in the air. Rachel may have swapped her reindeer sweaters and pantsuits for slightly less insulting dresses and mini skirts, but she was still as obnoxious as ever. Kurt did however have a soft spot for her as he knew exactly why she acted this way; she was so driven. Kurt admired that about her and after the diva off where they competed to sing Defying Gravity, their friendship had actually blossomed which was fortunate as he may be spending a lot of time with her in New York after graduation in a few years.

"Mr Schuester, if I may?" She began, shrilly.

"Um...sure, Rachel, go ahead!" Will seemed stunned at her enthusiasm (which after 2 years you would think he'd be used to) and took a seat at the piano bench.

"As many of you know, I have been trolling the show choir blogs all summer to get ahead. I've known about the theme since early August which has given me plenty of time to come up with some incredible ideas for our set list. The main event being... We Don't Need Another Hero by Tina Turner! Obviously I would take lead on that one, I feel like it could be the perfect opener to really, you know, set the standard!" Rachel clapped her hands together in excitement as she looked around the room as if waiting for applause.

Mercedes snorted, causing Rachel's wide grin to falter slightly as she cocked her head.

"I'm sorry, is there a problem Mercedes?" Rachel asked with genuine hurt and confusion in her voice.

"Only that you think your little white girl voice could do that song justice! I say it's Mercedes' year to shine." She replied with confidence.

"Ok guys, there is plenty of time to explore our options but a great first suggestion Rachel! Now let's talk choreography. Mike Chang, I was thinking this year you could actually step up and help me with it?" My Schue asked with a smile. Mike almost jumped at being spoken to, much like Kurt, Mike tended to sit in the choir room quietly but since getting a dance duet with Brittany last year, it finally seemed as though Mr Schue was taking notice of some of the other talents in the group. Mike happily agreed and got up to lead a dance warm up. The hour was spent learning new dance moves and brainstorming ideas. As much as Kurt wanted solos, he didn't quite feel confident enough yet to make his wish known but perhaps he could swing a duet with someone? He would bring it up at a later rehearsal once everyone had settled in a little more.

After rehearsal, Kurt drove home and greeted his Dad.

"Hey kiddo, have you and Finn had any thoughts about dinner tomorrow?" With all of the excitement for Glee, Kurt had completely forgotten to ask Finn.

"Oh sorry Dad, Glee was kind of hectic so I didn't get a chance to ask but you know Finn, he'll eat pretty much anything! Why don't we do a roast chicken?" Kurt replied brightly.

"Sounds good. Remember Carole and I are away this weekend, you want me to leave you some money for take out?" Kurt's stomach lurched. Would Blaine want to have food with him during their study date?

"Um, I think I should be fine to cook but thanks Dad. Besides, if there's an emergency I can always go to Mercedes' house and raid their food." Kurt half joked. Burt nodded and tucked into his spaghetti which he had made before Kurt got home. They ate dinner together and talked about their days before Kurt washed up their dishes and went downstairs to his basement room to do his homework but after only half an hour, Kurt could actually feel the frown lines setting in on his forehead. He wanted to try and do his geometry and calculus homework by himself so he could at least have something to work with when he and Blaine met on Saturday but it was no use. He stood up from his desk and decided to take a shower and wash the stress off his face.

...

The next morning, Kurt walked into homeroom and sat down next to Tina, Mercedes and the empty chair which belonged to Blaine who was late or absent almost every day of his first week. Kurt had stopped expecting him to walk in and just assumed he would see him in French which was first period. But to Kurt's surprise, Blaine swaggered in only 5 minutes late today, looking a little tired but very hot. His curly hair was falling in every direction and his black eyes was almost matched by the other one due to the dark circle under it. Kurt watched as Blaine took the seat next to him and leaned over.

"Um, I realised the other day that I actually don't have your number." Kurt spoke quietly to be as discreet as possible in front of the girls. Especially Mercedes who had already pointed out that Blaine was looking at Kurt on his first day.

"Well we can't have that, can we?" Blaine replied with a smile. Kurt quickly looked to his side to see that Mercedes and Tina were both now looking at him and Blaine. Why did he have to bring it up here and now in front of everyone? Stupid brain. Blaine tore a piece of paper from his notebook, wrote his number on it then slid it over to Kurt.

"Thanks, I'll text you later." Kurt said quickly and quietly.

"Can't wait." Blaine said with a wink. Kurt felt his cheeks flush and he turned back to the girls who were smiling at him with wide eyes. Kurt gave them a warning look as if to say 'shut up' and put Blaine's number in his pocket. To Kurt's delight, the bell for first period rang and he stood up to go to English with the girls. Thankfully, they waited until Blaine was out of sight before they showered him with questions.

"Kurt! Did you just get his number? Are you guys flirting?"

"I didn't even know he was gay!"

"Are you gonna call him?"

Kurt didn't know where to start, he didn't want to tell them anything that had happened so far, especially because he wasn't exactly sure what was going on other than sexual chemistry.

"We're just meeting tomorrow so he can help with with geometry and calculus. I figure if the teacher's are impressed with his work then he should be able to help me pull at least a B." Kurt said nonchalantly. Mercedes and Tina looked at each other, smiled and squealed. Kurt rolled his eyes and turned around to walk to class.

...

Blaine spent lunch under the bleachers with his headphones in listening to music and smoking. He faintly heard the bell ring in the distance through his music, put his cigarette out and started to walk towards the school to get to French. French was the one subject Blaine wasn't acing but he wasn't worried. He was a fast learner and was very academic. Plus, he was partnered with Kurt who was not only very good at French but also made it that much more enjoyable.

He waltzed into class and dropped his bag by the desk before sitting down next to Kurt. Kurt already had his books open and was flicking through the textbook.

"You haven't sexted me yet babe." Kurt almost laughed at how ridiculous Blaine's flirting was.

"Has your flirting ever been successful?" He asked with sass. Blaine shrugged took out his books.

"Successful enough to make you moan on Monday under the bleachers." He retorted casually causing Kurt to choke on the water he had taken a sip of. Blaine snickered and wrote the date at the top of his page.

"Bonjour la classe. Today, we are working on our listening skills. Tournez-vous vers vos partenaires, lisez les articles de vos livres et traduisez." Kurt picked up his textbook and found one of the sections of text before turning to Blaine, ready to read to him. Blaine was still working on translating what Ms Monet had said and had a a strained look on his face.

"I'm gonna speak to you and you have to translate what I said." Kurt explained (after recovering from his near death experience at the shock of what Blaine had said), to speed up the process. Blaine nodded and looked a little bashful. Kurt raised his eyebrow at the new expression on Blaine's face.

"Did you not take a language at your old school?" Blaine laughed at Kurt's question. Blaine spoke 3 languages almost fluently and was pretty good at 2 others as well.

"Actually I did. I speak English, Filipino, Spanish, plus a little Portuguese and Italian." Blaine said casually. Kurt's eyes widen and his mouth opened slightly. He was sure his pupils were dilating because damn. Blaine really was so much smarter than he let on and intelligence was sexy. Kurt suddenly felt a bit embarrassed at his proficiency in only one extra language.

"Well, we should probably get started." Kurt looked down to his book and found the section he would read. He picked an article extracted from La Parisien (A french newspaper) and allowed Blaine some time to flick through his book and translate slowly. The more Kurt read, the quicker Blaine was able to translate certain repeated words and Kurt was starting to see how it would be easy for Blaine to be so smart.

"Your turn." Kurt said after reading 3 samples of text. Blaine began reading and Kurt bit his tongue to stop himself from laughing at the awful pronunciation. Kurt waited for Blaine to finish and then started making corrections. Kurt moved his chair over a little to point at certain words.

"Okay, you see this word? It's que which I think is the same spelling as a word in Spanish which is why you're saying it like 'kay' but in French it's more of a 'kwa' sound. Same thing with this one." Kurt spoke gently and made sure Blaine was understanding what he was saying. Blaine nodded and looked up to be met with Kurt's face engrossed in Blaine's book, making sure he was being careful to pick out each word. Kurt was close enough that Blaine was able to catch the scent of vanilla. He studied Kurt's face and really noticed how beautifully structured he was - his cheekbones were high and his blue eyes stood out against his alabaster skin. There were a few strands of hair that had fallen loose from his coif and were hanging right in front of one of his eyes, Blaine thought it actually looked even better than when it was all in place.

Kurt stopped talking and looked up to find Blaine wasn't listening but instead was looking at him. Kurt huffed.

"Blaine you really need to learn this if you want to pass the aural exam at the send of the semester. The earlier you learn it, the easier it will be." Kurt said.

"Oral exam, you say?" Blaine quickly replied with very suggestive undertones to distract from the fact that he was staring at Kurt. Kurt rolled his eyes in response and moved back over to his own section of the desk. Blaine smiled and looked back down at his book before giving another extract of text a go, ensuring to correct his diction as Kurt had suggested. Kurt gave a satisfied smile as he heard Blaine speak in a more accurate accent.

As the lesson was wrapping up, Blaine leaned over to Kurt.

"Don't forget to give me your address. Oh and feel free to wear that little cheerleading uniform for me tomorrow." He whispered the last part, slung his bag over his shoulder and heading off to his last class. Kurt watched Blaine leave and once again, felt the heat rising up his neck into his cheeks. Blaine was absolutely gorgeous but Kurt was very new to all of this. He didn't want to get carried away and do something that he might later regret. So his cheerios uniform was absolutely out of the question, he was not going to encourage Blaine.

Kurt sat down in his home economics class and pulled out his phone to text Blaine. He sent his address and told Blaine he would be free after midday. He knew his Dad and Carole would be gone by then so he would have the house to himself and be able to dodge any awkward meetings. Just as he was putting his phone away, it buzzed. Kurt looked down at it and saw that he had a reply from Blaines number.

You suck at sexting - Blaine

Kurt rolled his eyes and ignored the text for now, slipping his phone into his pocket.

...

After Blaine had eaten his dinner on Friday evening, he headed up to him room and found himself reaching for a blank page and a pencil at his desk. He had a few thoughts which had been crafting their way into lyrics throughout the evening and he needed to get them out. Once he'd played around with some of the phrasing, he grabbed his guitar and brushed the strings whilst moving his fingers into different positions on the neck and figure out which chords he felt would work best for the melody he had constructed. Once he had a rough idea of the chord progression, he jotted them down next to each line.

The way his hair falls in his eyes - C Em Am

Makes me wonder if he'll

Ever see through my disguise - C Em Am

And I'm under his spell

Everything is falling - C Em

And I don't know where to land - B7 Em

Everyone knows who he is - Am

But they don't know who I am - C

He pondered over the words and thought about what they meant. A flash of Kurt's face appeared in his mind from earlier in the day when he had looked at Kurt during French. He thought about the people who would run to meet Kurt between classes and the girls who always saved him a seat in the cafeteria. Blaine furrowed his eyebrows as he studied the lyrics again. The song was about Kurt. He dropped his pencil and stood up from the desk, leaving his guitar to rest against it.

"What the hell?" He whispered to himself. Blaine wasn't the kind to write love songs, his songs were usually a little more upbeat and more on the rock'n'roll side of things so this was very new. He shook his head and got rid of the plague of thoughts going through his head. He was absolutely sure he was confusing attraction (and frustration) for affection. He took out a cigarette and climbed out of the window to sit on his spot on the roof when his phone buzzed.

Sexting is totally not a word - Kurt

Blaine felt a smirk growing on his face. There was absolutely no reason for Kurt to text him other than to open a dialogue. Blaine certainly wasn't going to miss this opportunity. He put his cigarette in his mouth whilst he typed out a reply.

Totally is. You just need someone to show you how to do it - Blaine

Blaine hit send and exhaled.

I think I should stick to math for now ;) - Kurt

Wasted potential - Blaine

Blaine finished his cigarette and climbed back in through his window before stripping off and heading to the bathroom to get ready for bed. He took a quick shower, brushed his teeth and jumped onto his four-poster bed. He found himself falling into a blissful sleep to the thought of Kurt dancing in his cheerios uniform. Tomorrow was the (not really) long anticipated chance he would get to hook up with Kurt. Usually he was able to pull a guy in a day or two but Kurt seemed to be more of a slow burner but he was up for the challenge - whatever it took to get Kurt into bed, he would do.

...

Kurt woke up at 7.30am on Saturday morning which was earlier than he usually liked but he wanted to say bye to his Dad and more importantly he wanted to prepared for Blaine to come over later. He went upstairs, still in his PJs to find his Dad lugging a large overnight bag, which was bursting at the seams, to the doorway.

"Morning Dad! You know we have a suitcase in the garage right?" He half joked. Burt grunted as he dropped the bag down.

"I'm only going for the night Kurt and unlike you I don't need spare outfits." He replied. Kurt raised an eyebrow as he looked back at the clearly overfilled bag but chose to move on.

"Anyway, I'm off to pick up Carole and we're leaving from there. You absolutely sure you don't need anything whilst I'm gone?" Burt checked as he was wiggling his feet into his sneakers. He had a horrible habit of never undoing and redoing the laces to put his shoes on, making them bend in an odd shape.

"I'll be fine Dad, there's plenty of food and I'm gonna be so busy doing my homework this weekend anyway so, all good." Kurt reassured his Dad and he walked towards the doorway, ready to hug his Dad goodbye.

"Ok kiddo, well I'll be back Sunday night. Text me if you need anything, anything at all." Kurt nodded and hugged Burt before watching him go to his car and pull out of the driveway.

Kurt closed the front door and turned around to look at the house. He suddenly felt very nervous. He had never had a guy come over before and even though he and Blaine weren't dating, Kurt still wanted everything to be perfect. He straightened out the cushions on the couch and put away the drying dishes that were sitting next to the sink then moved down to his room. Kurt looked around and felt a little overwhelmed at what to do first so he decided to take a shower and pick out an outfit. Kurt wanted to wear something that was stylish enough to catch Blaine's attention but in a subtle way so he didn't think Kurt was trying to hard. He opted for tight, deep blue jeans made out of a softer denim for comfort, a white T-shirt paired with a light blue waist coat. It was casual enough to be comfortable but the colour combination really made Kurt's eyes stand out. He then sat at his desk to do his skincare and hair as usual but after he had finished, he organised his products so they were to the side, making enough room on the desk for Kurt to take out his books and lay them out. Once he was finished, he stripped his bed of the sheets as he did every weekend and put them in a hamper before opening one of the drawers under it for a new set. He opted for a white fitted sheet and deep grey duvet and pillow covers. After changing the sheets, he took the hamper upstairs and loaded his bedding into the washer and started the cycle.

By the time he had gotten everything done, it was 9am so he still had a good 3 hours before Blaine would arrive. Kurt made himself a coffee and put a bagel in the toaster for some breakfast - the last thing he needed was his stomach growling, it had happened far too many times during exams and he would get so embarrassed. He put some butter on his bagel and sat at the breakfast bar to eat it. He wanted to text Blaine and make sure he was still coming but he had already pushed it by sending a few unnecessary texts last night. He liked flirting with Blaine and loved that Blaine was not afraid to flirt back and as much as Kurt wasn't encouraging Blaine, he was secretly hoping he would kiss him again today.

He washed up his dishes, dried them and put them backs in the cabinets before heading over to the couch and putting on some TV to help pass the time. Sex and The City was always a good bet. Plus it would help him get into the spirit of New York for nationals.

...

BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ

Blaine's alarm went off at 11am and instead of snoozing it like usual, he yawned and decided to force himself out of bed and into the shower. He could feel some stubble started to grow on his cheeks but decided to leave it there for now as he was too tired from waking up this side of 12pm to do anything about it. Wrapping a towel round his waist, he came out of his bathroom and started looking through his drawers for something to wear. He settled on grey sweats and a white tank top which would later be underneath his black denim jacket. Blaine knew he looked good in grey sweats which was convenient since they were so comfortable and easy to get out of if today went the way he was hoping it would.

Blaine checked the time and saw that it was 11.40am so he ran downstairs and grabbed a granola bar to wolf down before he said bye to his Mom and headed out the door, got on his bike and headed to Kurt's house. Blaine had an excitement in the pit of his stomach, it had been a while since he had hooked up with someone and there was something about Kurt that Blaine found so intriguing. He was absolutely a tease but had such a genuine air about him, something that Blaine hadn't really come across before. The lyrics Blaine had written the other night floated through his brain as he got closer to Kurt's house. He was sure it was just the pent up frustration manifesting itself and after today, he could get it out of his system and move on to the next.

The house in front of him was of modest size in a decent neighbourhood. It didn't compare in size to his but it was nice none the less. Taking off his helmet, Blaine walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. A few seconds later, a very wide eyed Kurt opened the door.

"Hi." Kurt sounded breathless and a little scared, making Blaine smile.

"You look cute, like dirty cute." Blaine's smile grew into a smirk when he was Kurt's cheeks glow a light shade of pink with his comment.

"Um, d'you wanna come in?" Blaine followed Kurt through and kicked his boots off in the doorway. He looked around and saw a very comfortable, lived in house. It was neat and clean but Blaine noticed the slightly worn couch and the rug which looked a little frayed in certain places. Blaine guessed Kurt's family must sit together in here a lot.

"So..." Kurt started nervously, "I thought we could start with calculus then I'll help you with some French then we could circle back round to geometry?"

"Sure, whatever you want." Blaine agreed, still looking around the house.

"Did you want anything to eat or drink before we go downstairs?" Kurt asked. Blaine furrowed his brows and turned his gaze towards Kurt.

"Oh my rooms in the basement." Kurt said sheepishly.

"You trying get me into your bed already?" Blaine replied flirtatiously and Kurt's mouth parted as if to say something but nothing came out so Blaine carried on.

"I'm good, thanks. Let's just get started." And with that, Blaine followed Kurt through a hallway where there was a door and behind the door was a staircase heading downstairs to the basement. The room totally suited Kurt. It was mostly white but had some contrasting colours such as the dark bedding, the dark grey, crushed velvet desk chair and of course, he had a clothing rail with some particularly exquisite items of clothing on display.

Kurt picked up a book from his desk and walked over to sit on the bed. Blaine followed and sat on the other side of the bed to Kurt.

"Could we start with derivatives and integral?" Kurt busied himself with flicking through the book and Blaine could tell he was trying to avoid eye contact. He decided to go along with it for now and wait for Kurt to get a little more comfortable before making his move. The first time Blaine had kissed Kurt, he managed to catch him off guard but it was almost like Kurt was expecting Blaine to do something right now so he had to wait.

Blaine showed Kurt a few simplified ways of working out the math problems and slowly started introducing building them up. Kurt was still struggling putting everything together and seemed to be getting frustrated.

"I don't get it, how is this so easy for you?" He sighed in annoyance as he collapsed back to lay down and stare at the ceiling. "I feel like my head is gonna explode." Blaine chuckled at how dramatic Kurt was.

"My old school, Dalton was kinda intense on academics, we were studying at senior level in the third semester of freshman year. They want all their students to get into ivy league schools." Kurt turned his head sharply to look at Blaine.

"You went to Dalton? As in The Dalton Academy Warblers?" Kurt spoke to quick that Blaine almost missed the words.

"Uh yeah, I mean I was never a Warbler but yeah Dalton. How d'you know that?"

"We competed against the Warblers last year in glee! Wow small world. But I guess that kinda makes sense. Did they make you take all those languages too?"

"Oh no, I took Spanish at Dalton but the others I learnt at home." Blaine said casually. Kurt pushed himself up so he was leaning on his elbows and he looked back over at Blaine who was looking at him. The gaze lasted a little too long so Kurt broke the silence.

"Maybe we should take a break, I don't think I can learn any more without a breather." Kurt went to sit up but Blaine took this chance to push his chest back down onto the bed and climb on top of him.

"Couldn't agree more." Blaine growled and he lowered himself to nip Kurt's ear, causing Kurt to inhale sharply and flutter his eyes closed.

"You know," Blaine whispered in his ear as he started to place wet kisses on Kurt's neck, "I've been wanting - to do this - all week. But you're - such - a tease." Blaine could feel Kurt hardening against his own arousal which encouraged him to keep going. He gently sucked Kurt's pulse point on his neck, causing Kurt to moan quietly but Blaine could feel the vibration from his throat. He let his teeth slide over the red mark he had left and as he pulled away, he looked at the damage he had done, smiled and gently rubbed his thumb over it.

Kurt managed to catch his breath and he opened his eyes to look at the gorgeous boy above him. Blaine looked at him through his impossibly dark eyelashes before crashing his mouth into Kurt's.

Kurt didn't know what had come over him but he felt like he wasn't in control of his own body. He had a sense of euphoria that he had never experienced before and all he knew is that he didn't want it to end. He was warm and the sandalwood cologne was making him pleasantly dizzy and all he wanted to do was stay tangled up with Blaine all day.

Blaine's tongue brushed past Kurt's as he explored the other boy's mouth hungrily. Kurt's hands were tightly gripping Blaine's now very messy curls and Blaine was using his to hold himself up as he began to grind on Kurt, causing an unbelievably good friction. Both boys were very much hard now and Blaine started to smile through their kiss. He moved him hand to slip under Kurt's T-shirt and lightly traced the toned muscles on his side, following the V-line down to his lower naval, causing Kurt to raise his hips to meet the touch. Blaine took this as the green light to slip his fingers just under the waistband to Kurt's jeans as he pulled away from Kurt's lips to reattach himself to his soft neck.

"B-Blaine, wait." Kurt panted. Blaine released his mouth from Kurt's neck and looked at him, eyes full of lust. Kurt could see where this was going and he suddenly had a wave of panic come over him.

"I, I haven't ever, I'm-" Kurt closed his eyes in embarrassment and removed his hands from Blaine's hair, using them to prop himself up a little instead. Blaine knew what Kurt was going to say, he had known for a long time given that every time he said something even remotely flirty, Kurt's cheeks would go all rosy.

"I don't care, I just want you." Blaine hurried this along as he wasn't done yet. He placed wet kisses up Kurt's neck and licked the shell of his ear, biting lightly on his ear lode.

"B-but I do care." Kurt sat up a little more, causing Blaine to roll off of him. "I don't just wanna be another notch on your belt."

"Damn you really are a tease." Blaine said, slightly bitterly.

"I'm not being a tease, Blaine. I just have self-respect and no offence but you kind of seem like the kind of person who would drop me once you've had me." Kurt said with a little hurt creeping through his already delicate voice. Blaine had never been spoken to like this before - sure some guys had been mad or sad once Blaine stopped talking to them but never had it happened before a hook-up. Blaine usually would just move on if he got the cold-shoulder but something about Kurt made him want it that much more. Kurt's attitude was hot and though Blaine would NEVER admit it, he actually liked Kurt as a person. Blaine thought carefully about his next words, he had to play the game Kurt's way for now.

"You are most definitely being a tease but it's kinda hot. I'll follow your lead." Kurt looked at Blaine in shock, he did not expect that to be his response. Kurt felt his heart thumping wildly against his chest. Was Blaine actually interested in him or was this just a trick so he would lower his guard (or his pants)?

"Thank you." Kurt said cautiously. "Besides, you promised me a B by Christmas." He finished as he sat up and picked up the books that had fallen onto the floor. Blaine nodded and suppressed a smile. They got back to studying until Kurt couldn't take in anymore so they started working on Blaine's French. Blaine couldn't seem to get out of his habit of using Spanish pronunciation on certain words and Kurt felt that Blaine really needed to master that before moving on to anything more complicated.

"You're still rolling your Rs, in french it's more in your throat, not in your tongue." Kurt looked at Blaine as he spoke and saw that Blaine was quietly laughing.

"Oh my god, you know what I meant." He hit Blaine with a pillow and started laughing too.

"I swear I've never had a problem picking up languages until now, I guess it's just habit." Blaine said once he'd gotten over his immature humour.

"So why Filipino? I mean the others I get, they're taught in some schools but I've never met anyone who speaks that before." Kurt asked genuinely.

"I'm half Filipino so I grew up speaking it." Blaine replied and got up to stretch his legs. Kurt looked at him and noticed his olive skin, dark eyes and gorgeous curls, damn those genes were good. Blaine wondered round Kurt's room and looked at the photos on his desk. He had a picture of a young woman, maybe in her 20's with piercing blue eyes just like Kurt's and dirty blonde hair. Kurt must have a sister.

"I pegged you as an only child." Kurt hadn't seen what Blaine was looking at so this comment caught him off guard.

"I am?" He replied inquisitively and peered round to see what Blaine was looking at. A sad smile grew on his face.

"That's my mom." He said.

"I can see where you got your looks from, she's really pretty." Blaine looked at Kurt and gave him a smile.

"She was." Blaine's smile faltered and he parted his mouth as he looked for words to say but was failing. Kurt noticed and jumped in to save the awkward moment.

"It was a long time ago, don't worry. Anyway, so you think you're ready to try again?" Kurt asked brightly to change the subject. Blaine nodded they carried on working on French.

After about an hour, Kurt needed a break so he offered to grab them some cokes from upstairs. He left the room and Blaine looked back over at the pictures on Kurt's desk. Kurt's Mom had died a long time ago and he was an only child so it was just he and his dad in the house, just like how he and his Mom were on their own now too. Before he could think too deeply about it, Kurt came running downstairs with their drinks and a plate full of snacks.

"I needed brain food too. Ok where were we?" Kurt said as he sat back down and put the plate between then.

"Well," Blaine began as he stuck a breadstick in his mouth, "I think we should take a break and then we gotta circle back round to you. We've gotta start on your geometry." He swallowed and looked at Kurt who was looking a bit discouraged.

"I know, I suck." He said with a sigh.

"Good to know." Blaine said as he got at all fours and crawled over to Kurt, pressing his mouth to his. Kurt had to quickly swallow the mouthful of coke he had just drank to prevent from choking on it. Blaine caught Kurt's lower lip in his mouth and sucked it gently before letting it go.

"So do I." He whispered against Kurt's lips. Blaine then sat back and had another bite of his breadstick, not bothering to look at the flushed state he had left Kurt in. Kurt licked his lip where Blaine had just sucked and felt that giddy rush in his head again. As much as Kurt wanted to stay in this blissful world he and Blaine seemed to be in, he was very well aware that when they were back at school, Blaine would go back to his crude self in front of everyone and would only catch Kurt in private when he wanted to make out or something. But what was wrong with making the most of this time? At least Kurt was getting to know Blaine a little more. He was respectful of Kurt's boundaries and didn't get mad at him when he stopped things from going further, plus he was actually having conversations about things other than sex and school, like Blaine telling him about his heritage. Maybe Kurt was getting ahead of himself but he felt like maybe there was a real chance for he and Blaine? Kurt thought about it and decided to take a risk.

"What music do you like? Maybe we should put some on for a while?" Kurt asked sheepishly. Blaine shrugged and thought about his taste in music.

"Um I guess mostly classic rock, you know, whatever." Blaine looked through his phone and scrolled down his playlists nervously. Kurt was watching and saw Blaine's curious expression so he snatched Blaine's phone out of his hand to look through his music. Kurt's jaw dropped. There was every genre of music you could possibly find, from classical to musical theatre to rock.

"Hey give me that!" Blaine said as he reached back to take his phone but Kurt had run off with it to plug it in to his sound system and started playing the musical theatre playlist.

"You are totally a closet broadway boy!" Kurt said excitedly.

"No, no I'm not." Blaine defended himself. "I just don't limit myself to one specific genre. It's called versatility."

"ohhh sure, sure okay." Kurt said teasingly as he sat back on the bed, music now playing moderately in the background.

"So, you said you're in the Glee Club? Isn't that kind of gay?" Kurt gave Blaine his best 'are you an idiot' look.

"I'm sorry did you not just stick your tongue down my throat?" Kurt retorted sarcastically.

"I did and but I can do it again if you need a reminder. I just mean it's all show tunes and jazz hands." Kurt looked mortally offended at that assumption.

"Is not! We actually do a little of everything. Sure we do broadway sometimes but last year we did Madonna, Gaga, Journey, even a little MCR!" Blaine's ears pricked at the last two. Whilst he really did enjoy any kind of music, he wasn't lying when he said he was mostly drawn to classic rock anthems.

"Fair enough. Anyway, let's get started on geometry, you've only given me till Christmas and you have a long way to go." Blaine said as he grabbed a book. Kurt was so happy with how today was going. He and Blaine were talking - TALKING! Kurt had no idea how the rules of a relationship worked but this felt like a date, what with the chatting, the flirting and the making out, surely this was what dating was like!
