With a sigh, Kurt hangs up and leans back in his chair. He loves his job, he really does and he’s used to hysterical brides calling the day before the wedding to make sure everything is perfect on their day.
But sometimes, even he needs a break. And now, he has a couple of minutes before his next clients arrive, so he cleans his desk a bit – not that there is anything to clean really – adjusts the bouquet on the table and makes sure the little bride and broom figures are all in place. He feels a bit like his guidance counsellor in High School.
Just when he finishes, there’s a knock before the door swings open and in walks a couple. The girl, about his age and gorgeous – dark, flowing hair, exotic features and a body that would probably be considered amazing for a woman – clings to the arm of her fiance, he guesses. And well, Kurt can honestly say that she’s one lucky soon-to-be-wife.
He’s about her age, a little older maybe. Twenty-three, he remembers. He has dark, curly hair which is neatly parted and kept down by an ungodly amount of gel. He’d have to change that for the wedding. He has big, friendly eyes and smiled brightly as he enters.
That’s when Kurt remembers he should get up. Smiling as well, he stretches his hand out towards the woman. “Ms. Lopez. It’s my pleasure. I’m Kurt Hummel.” He explains and she shakes his hand.
“Mr. Anderson, it’s my pleasure as well.” He adds as he turns towards the man, seeing that he is a bit shorter than both himself and his fiance which is kind of endearing.
“The pleasure is all mine.” He says as he grasps his hand and shakes it. Kurt notices he had really nice, warm hands.
Once they’re both sat down on the chairs in front of his desk, Kurt gives them a smile and reaches over to open a new file where their general facts are filled in already. Santana Lopez, twenty-two and a doctor. Blaine Anderson, twenty three and a lawyer. The perfect couple from what he could see.
“Alright then. To get this started, maybe you can tell me how you two met so I can get an idea how to set everything up.” Kurt smiles and watches as their looks meet.
Finally, Mr. Anderson nods. “We met in High School. We uhm… were best friends for a while.” And that is all Kurt gets. He wonders if he should push a bit to find out more but something tells him he shouldn’t.
Noting that bit down, he looks back up. “Do you have any location or theme in mind? Anything that needs to be included?”
“We want the Plaza.” Ms. Lopez says with authority. “We heard you were the best wedding planner in New York so we hope you can make that possible. I’d like the wedding to be not too over the top, so no doves or whatever.” She points out, running a hand through her hair as Kurt hurries to scribble down what she’s saying.
She seems like one of those women who know exactly what they want and with the way Mr. Anderson seemed very quiet next to her, he guessed she was the one doing the main planning here.
“The Plaza, right. That may be a bit hard because winter weddings there are hard to book. Well, to be honest all of them are.” Kurt smiles slightly and both of them nod though Ms. Lopez looks not all that into the fact that it sounds like a tall order to get to marry there.
“Well, we do have a date on the 28th of December. It’s either that or next year.” He says after a while once he has checked a few of the lists lying in front of him.
“We’ll take that one.” Ms. Lopez says quickly. “Just don’t pull a Bride Wars.”
Kurt laughs softly. He gets that reference at least once a week and knowing they wanted to get married at the Plaza, he had been waiting for this since the beginning.
“I won’t, don’t worry. I’ll book that right away. Any colour scheme you’d like? I for one would propose white. It matches the winter atmosphere and brightens the room up as well. Maybe we can add a bit of green. Mistletoes, all that, to make it romantic.” He suggests.
“Yeah. White works with my skin tone.” The woman agrees and Kurt bites back a comment how there are better colours for her. That’s not his place even though he’d really like to give her some advice. Not that she dresses bad, but Kurt Hummel could make anyone look even better.
“Wonderful.” He says finally, after decoration, music and more have been discussed and closes the file, giving the two of them a smile.
“Do you have a dress and suit already?” he asks.
“I’m going dress shopping with Brittany tomorrow.” Ms. Lopez says and her fiance nods as if he has only now just been informed. And from the look of it, that’s probably what it was, Kurt assumes.
“Great. How about you?” he asks, turning towards Mr. Anderson and his hazel eyes. Scratch that. He wasn’t allowed to think that.
“Uhm, no. Not really, to be honest. I wouldn’t even know where to begin.” He admits and shrugs slightly, giving an awkward smile.
“Oh, that’s not that hard. A friend of mine owns a wedding boutique. How about we try to pick a suit for you while your fiance gets her dress?” he asks and Mr. Anderson’s face lights up a little.
“I’d love that.” He agrees and Kurt can’t help but smile.
The two of them get up, followed by Kurt and handshakes are exchanged yet again.
“I’ll see you tomorrow.” Mr. Anderson nods as Ms. Lopez grabs at his hand.
Kurt just smiles and nods as he watches them leave.
This is not going to end well. He just knows it already.

I love this story! A great start for a great story :D I've only read the first chapter, but I'm getting vibs that Blaine is gay and Santana is lesbian, and they're only getting married for.. appearances? Can't wait to read more, though!
I LOVE THIS STORY! I plan on becoming a Wedding Planner when I get older, so this story is extremely perfect. This is honestly one of my favorite Klaine fanfics ever. But, you haven't updated in so long! I understand that life gets in the way sometimes, but don't leave us hanging! It's almost over! I would live to be able to see the rest of it play out! Please update soon
