Every tuesday morning, Blaine always took Kurt for some coffee and a stroll through the park and today happened exactly the same but it felt different.
Their gossip and everything they did was as normal but it was just Kurts... body language that felt different.
He knew all to well that Kurt was determined to win over Sebastian and he also knew that Kurt probably get the beautiful dark haired boy but he had to be positive. Blaine would go on this date tonight, be charming and do what he could. The sad thing was that he knew Kurt wouldn't stick around if Blaine got the boy, that's just the way Kurt but he liked him for who he was.
Maybe it was time too tell Kurt his feelings? Or maybe it was best to leave it because Kurt would never feel the same, why would he? He could have any boy he wanted and even girls if he decided.
After he had left Kurt, Cooper came to visit him again. His older brother was very protective and was worried about what may happen to Blaine.
Blaine would be fine though, he always was as long as he kept telling himself everything, everything would be good.
'You realise that if Kurt wins over Sebastian it will be too late to tell him your feelings and even if you win over Sebastian then what's going to happen then? Kurt will be gone.' That's what Coop had told him earlier that afternoon but Blaine couldn't face the truth, not just yet anyway. Man he loved his brother.
It was almost 7pm, Sebastian would be here any minute for their date. Was it to late to call it off?
There was three sharp knocks on the door and Blaine ran downstairs and opened it to see Sebastian.
'Evening Sebastian'they both smiled,
'Evening darling, call me Seb, I thought we'd go out for a drive and find a nice place to eat.' Like a puppy, Blaine locked his front door and followed Seb to his car feeling the gaze off his best friend from the second story windown opposite. He didnt't dare look up as he got in the car.
The boys drove for twenty minutes before they came across a cute like cake shop, 'lets go in there and try all the cakes - it will be romantic andi love cake.'
Blaine laughed, it was adorable how one tiny shop cause make Sebs face light up. As they walked to the shop Seb slowly placed his hand in Blaines and gave it a reasurring squeeze, almost like he knew that Kurt and Blaine were bbf's.
A bell chimed as the door opened and a woman in her 40's came out from behind the desk
'Welcome to Lil' Crackin' Cakes, over there we have some tables where we can bring you samples of any cake you wish. Enjoy' she said the words slowly, adding meaning to all her words and then she walked back to the counter.Seb pulled Blaine over to the small grey tables and sat down, 'isn't this exciting?' he looked as excited as a little kid on christmas day. A tall waiter walked over to the boys 'which samples would you like to try gentleman?'
'Oooh! Can we try the red velvet, cheese cake caramel..''and chocolate!'
The waiter left to get their order and brought back small plates containing two pieces of each.
While the boys ate their cake they had friendly conversation about their lives, where they grew up and all their hobbies, it was nice to find that Seb shared quite a few and was very much like Blaine.
A few hours had gone buy and Blaine was finishing his last strawberry sample when he heard the door chime, he looked up to see a tall boy browsing the aisle.
Blaine realised that Coop had come to check up on him and smiled to himself, he knew his brother wouldn't get in the way.
Seb and Blaine paid for their cake and then left the shop once again hand in hand, Blaine knew it was time.
'Look Seb, we need to talk'
He raised an eyebrow as he said 'Okay... shoot'
'Tonight has been one of the best evenings I have had in ages but you're not the only person I like and I don't think it would be fair to you to date you when I'm not even sure about my only feelings'this was him letting Kurt get what he wanted, needed 'I really love hanging out with you though and as our relationship or anything hasn't progressed, I thought we could still be friends.'
'Of course we can still be friends! You're my cake buddy and I've never had one of those' both boys smiled
The ride home was fairly silent but Blaine knew everything was going to be okay because he was still going to have his best friend. Seb stopped the car outside Blaine's house and they both got out, Blaine could see that Kurt had appeared at his window again to watch the two boys. Oh well, he would tell Kurt in the morning and everything would be good again.
'Look, Blaine... there's something i've wanted to do all night and I'm going to do it before we become just friends'
Seb took Blaines face in his hands and kissed him gently, he pulled away after a long 3 seconds
'see you soon... cake buddy.'
Seb quickly got back in his car and drove off, Blaine was shocked. Boy Seb was a good kisser!
Yet again Kurt had seen the whole thing.
Tomorrow wasn't going to be easy after all!
