To friends and family it was an average Saturday evening at Kurt Hummels house; his best friend Blaine Anderson was over for their weekly takeaway and horror movie night. The boys sat almost touching on the sofa in darkness watching The Women in Black, Kurt hated horror films but he always loved spending time with his best friend so he never cared. Blaine secretly wasn't interested in horror movies, he just thought Kurt's reactions were adorable. The movie ended and the tallest boy, Kurt, jumped up to turn on the lights and turned to his friend.
'I want to tell you my news'
'Me too, you go first'
Kurt sat down again, ate a hanful of popcorn then brush his hands together.
'Okay so I was finishing my shift at Breadstix yesterday when this gorgeous boy walked in on his own, poor thing, I asked if I could get him anything and he replies with 'company' so I ate dinner with him and we're going on a date tomorrow evening! Isn't that great?!
'I'm so happy for you! I also have a date, coincidence right? I was in a music store down the street searching the rows for Katy Perry's new CD, there was one copy left and as I reached out to take it so did this boy with the most beautiful green eyes! We spoke for a little while and then I asked him on a date and he agreed for two nights time. His name is Sebastian'
Kurt was smiling while Blaine was talking, he loved seeing Blaine happy. His smile quickly became a frown when Blaine mentioned his dates name.
'Wait, my date's name is also Sebastian...'
Staring with his eyes wide open, Blaine couldn't believe what he was hearing. They couldn't be talking about the same boy, what would that do to their friendship?
'Okay, after 3 we'll both say his last name. 1, 2, 3'
At the exact same time the friends said 'Smythe' and immediately fell silent. How could this be? Would this affect the world's greatest friendship?
'Bu-but...'Blaine coudn't finish his sentence, what was there to even say?
'Well who gets to date him? I realy like him but if you want him then have him but I really did enjoy the meal we had together.'
'No, you can't give him up for me... Maybe we both date him and he can decide who he wants to be with.'
'Yes that seems fair, we need rules though.'
'Oh my, you and your rules... Okay, we'll support whoever he chooses and he doesn't know we're friends'
'Two very good rules and we won't let it ruin our friendship. Deal?'
Kurt extended his hand out to the curly haired boy, Blaine grasped his hand and shook it.
'Deal!'
The boys smiled at each other, not knowing what the future held in store for them
