It didn’t take long for Rory to figure out that Kurt was in a bad mood. He watched him as he take his anger out on his poor locker door.
“Hey Daddy.”
Kurt was clearly not in the mood for chitchat. All he wants to do it hit someone or make a really snarky comment. He just wants his day to end.
“Okay, I see you’re not in a good mood. I can come back later . .”
“No. It’s fine. Just a little annoyed.”
At me? Rory thought. What could I have possibly done to annoy Kurt? Kurt realizes Rory’s silence.
“Oh wait, not at you, Rory.”
“Blaine?”
“Well, sort of.”
Rory did not like this. The thought of trouble in Kurt-Blaine paradise was a big downer. After Kurt and Blaine took him in, he vowed to do his best to guard their love. Or something like that. Kurt sensed Rory’s confusion and started to rant.
“It’s Sebastian. He has the hots for Blaine and it’s really getting into my nerves. He says Blaine’s too good for me.”
“Well that’s not very nice.”
Kurt rolled his eyes. “You’ll learn soon enough that nice isn’t a staple in everyone’s vocabulary.”
“I don’t think Blaine’s too good for you, though.”
Kurt tilted his head. “Why not? Sebastian has a point though. I don’t know what I did to deserve Blaine. And it sucks that I could lose him with just that thought.”
“It’s like you balance each other out. I bet Blaine thinks you’re too good for him too.”
“But I’m not. I’m just Kurt. I’m just Kurt-sassy mouth- Hummel. What’s so great about me anyway?”
“Aside from your amazing counter-tenor abilities and a keen sense of style, you have a really big heart. And it’s not really something you find every day. I bet that’s what Blaine saw in you.”
Kind words were rare in these halls. A hug seemed appropriate enough for the occasion. Kurt was glad he had Rory to talk to.
“I think we have a bright boy in our hands.”
The two break up the hug and see Blaine standing right behind them.
“He’s right you know. You’re too good for me.”
Kurt blushed. “No, I’m not.”
Blaine moved closer and caressed Kurt’s cheek. Kurt instantly leaned into Blaine’s warm hand. It’s amazing how he can quickly feel at home with one touch.
“Yes, you are. And don’t you ever forget that.” Hazel eyes meet blue. Then suddenly, Kurt understood. But, they were quickly brought back to reality when Rory spoke.
“See, Daddy! I told you!”
Blaine laughed. “Like I said before, Sebastian means nothing to me. You, on the other hand, mean the world to me.”
“Smooth, Anderson, real smooth.”
“Forget about him, okay?”
“I can’t really blame Sebastian. You really are a gorgeous piece of eye-candy and he just wants a piece.”
“Too bad you’re the only one I want tasting me.” Blaine whispered in Kurt’s ear. His lips so close to his ear. His breath does things to him. Kurt saw Blaine’s dark eyes and knew instantly that he was in for a long afternoon.
“So do you guys want to hang out after school?” Rory, who was clearly off the couple’s mind, squeaked.
“Rain check on that, Rory. Your daddy and I needs to . . uhh . . talk.” Blaine says as he tries to cover his growing problem with his bag.
“Oh, okay.”
“I’ll call you later, sweetie.” Was all Kurt could say before Blaine whisked him away to the parking lot leaving Rory confused.
“What the hell did just happen?”
