A jock with an incredibly bad choice of haircut said before he pushed Rory into the lockers. Rory always wanted to study abroad; experience things outside his home back in Ireland. But never in his wildest dreams did he imagine his life in Ohio to be like this. He always assumed the good in people. Apparently, good people were rare in McKinley.
While standing in front of their lockers, Kurt and Blaine were watching Rory. “Stop that!” Kurt shouted
“What are you going to do about it homo?”
“Better a homo than some guy stuck with an overrated 80’s haircut.” The jock tried to push Kurt but was stopped by Blaine’s quick hand.
“You are not permitted to touch him.”
“Says who?”
“Me.”
The four of them turned around and saw Coach Beiste with her arms crossed eyeing the jock like she was about to crush every bone in his body. “This isn’t over, fairies.”
“Now, get out of here.” Kurt and Blaine helped Rory get up.
“Now you three take care of yourselves, alright.”
“Thank you, coach.” Blaine said in reply.
“Thanks for sticking out for me.” Rory said as Kurt fixed the collar of his checkered shirt.
“Don’t worry about it. I won’t let any member of the glee club be bullied. Not on my watch.”
“Not on our watch.” Blaine added. Rory couldn’t help admiring Kurt and Blaine’s loving stare at each other. It reminds him so much like his parents.
“Just like Ma and Pa.” It took a while for the couple to recognize Rory’s words.
“Excuse me?” They stop and stare at him for a while.
“Just like back home. When Ma and Pa see each other, they share the same look.” The two have perfected being this sweet during the course of their relationship. They don’t usually realize that they’re doing this until someone comments on it.
“And now I miss home more.” Rory said as he walked away. This broke Kurt’s heart.
“Blaine . . .” Blaine could see the sympathy in his boyfriend’s eyes. He still can’t believe his luck; to have someone like Kurt in his life. He loves his big heart and would do anything for his porcelain angel.
“I’m on it.” Blaine ran down the hall to catch up with Rory.
“Hey Rory, do you want to get milkshakes with us after school?” Rory turned around and was surprised with Blaine’s offer.
“I’d love to.” Rory said eagerly. He didn’t have a lot of friends at school. He would be a fool to turn down his offer. “Just as long as mine’s low-fat, I’m in.” Kurt placed his condition as he caught up with the two.
Blaine faced Kurt. “You always say that, but you always take more than a few sips from mine. I don’t think my Chocolate overload can be considered as low-fat, baby. You even finished more than half of my order the last time.”
“No, I didn’t.”
“Yes, you did.”
“No, I didn’t.”
“Okay, fine. You didn’t.”
“Good.” Kurt gave Blaine a peck on the cheek while he reached for Rory’s shoulders. “Come on, we’re going to have so much fun.”
Blaine looked at Rory and mouthed “He totally did.” Rory laughed at this gesture.

Kurt doesn’t know what has gotten into Rory but he seemed so excited when they got their milkshakes.
“So how are you holding up?”
“I’m fine. It’s just the pushing and name-calling that’s bothering me. And sometimes, I just miss home.”
“You really miss your family don’t you?” Blaine can see the poor boy’s expression change immediately.
“Well, you’re in glee club now. We can be your family.”
“Really?”
“A very dysfunctional family but a family nonetheless.” Kurt winked. Rory was glad he has people like Kurt and Blaine. He can really use a family right now.
“We can even be your honorary dads if you want.” Blaine quipped.
“Whoah, Blaine. I said I wanted to experience things with you but, a kid? Right now?” Kurt said with a mocking tone.
“Please?"
“Oh no. Not the puppy eyes.” Kurt tried to protect his eyes from his boyfriend’s adorable expression; but it was too late. He really is helpless when Blaine does this.
“Just call me Daddy.” Kurt turned to Rory then back to Blaine. “Happy?”
“Very.” Blaine smiled as he reached for Kurt’s hand beneath the counter.
“I can’t wait to tell Finn about this. I got two dads now!” Rory said excitedly as he reached for his phone.
Blaine was just happy to see Rory like this. Honestly, he would do anything to make the boy feel at home in McKinley. He knows how it feels. “Well this is going to be interesting. Right, Kurt?”
Blaine turned around only to see Kurt take the last sip of his milkshake.
“See, I told you this would happen.” Blaine told Rory as he turned to face him. Blaine just reached out and lovingly wiped Kurt’s milk moustache.
Yup, Rory thought. He can get used to this. Maybe good people are not so rare here after all.
