Author's Notes: Happy Valentine's everyone!

Kurt went back to their room to focus back on his sketches. For the first few minutes, he fought hard to put the idea of a baby inside their apartment far back in his mind. He simply can’t make sense out of it. After a couple of hours, Blaine walked in holding a food tray. Kurt didn’t even look up from his work table.

“I can practically see your creativity dripping from your nose. Why don’t you take a break for a while?” Blaine said as he set the tray table down and kissed Kurt on the head.

“I’m nearly done.” Kurt was biting down on a pencil while he erased every wrong detail he saw. He always acted this way when he worked. He simply wouldn’t stop until he got everything right. If not for Blaine’s constant reminders, he wouldn’t even take a break at all.

“Kurt.” Blaine warned. Kurt looked up with pleading eyes. He really needed to finish everything tonight.

“Tell you what, how about I just feed you while you work?” Blaine offered. Kurt’s eyes quickly brightened. He loved how Blaine understood his crazy work ethics. Blaine grabbed the bowl and forked a few lettuces. Kurt opened his mouth and Blaine fed him.

“Now tell me what happened when you got home.” Kurt said with a mouthful of salad as he started sketching again.

“Well, I was listening to Katy Perry then I heard baby noises. And boom, I saw the baby on our doorstep.” Blaine explained. “I read the letter and it was addressed to us so I brought her in.”

“Are you sure you don’t know anyone who might have a baby; someone who conveniently knows us and may have left his or her baby with us?” Kurt asked. He tried to think about his own circle of friends and none of them seem to have kids yet.

“None that I can think of.” Blaine answered. “I don’t have any sister so that’s ruled out. I can’t think of any of my cousins getting knocked up recently so that’s a no too.”

“Are you sure you didn’t . . . you know . . ” Kurt started making little gestures with his hands. Blaine was confused for a while until Kurt raised his eyebrow.

“I honestly haven’t been around any lady parts if that’s what you mean.” Blaine said. “I only have my eyes set on men.” He winked making Kurt blush.

Silence has fallen on them. Kurt quickly turned back to his work. Blaine was giving him THAT look again. He can’t afford to fall for that right now. Blaine stood up from the bed, closed the distance between them  and whispered “Especially a counter-tenor with blue eyes.”

“Blaine, stop it. I’m busy.” Kurt said trying to ignore Blaine’s advances.

“Can’t you just wrap that up?” Blaine’s voice was dripping with desire. He moved closer to Kurt’s ear and started licking his earlobes. “Come on. I’ve missed you, baby.”

Blaine moved his mouth to Kurt’s neck. Damn it, Kurt thought. Blaine can be really persuasive when he wants to. He can’t concentrate with Blaine’s tongue tracing circles on his neck. “Just give in.”

Blaine blew on his neck making his skin tingle. Kurt dropped his pen and faced Blaine. He stands up as their lips meet in a passionate kiss. Kurt missed this too. This week has been so busy that they barely had time for each other. They would just fall asleep right away come bed time. He moved to Blaine’s jaw line and drew a sharp breath.

“Why do you smell like baby powder?” Kurt said as he gasped for air.

“I. Changed. The baby’s. Diaper.” Blaine said in between kisses.

“You know how to change a diaper?” Kurt said as he broke from the kiss.

“I searched how to change diaper in youtube. No big deal.” Blaine reattached his lips on Kurt’s once more. He grabbed his ass and lifted him up in one swift move. Kurt locked his legs around Blaine’s waist as their kiss quickly picked up pace. Blaine turned around so that Kurt’s back faced the bed. He stared at his bright blue eyes as he lowered him to the bed.

“Blaine.” Kurt gasped.

“Kur. .” Blaine sighed but was cut short by the sound of a crying baby. This baby had impeccable timing. This was clear to Blaine. He didn’t realize that he was keeping still until Kurt cleared his throat. Kurt knew what Blaine wanted. He knew that his boyfriend couldn’t stand a baby’s cry.

“Go ahead. I have to finish my last sketch anyway.” Kurt said soothingly as he played with Blaine’s curls. It’s just for one night. By tomorrow, the baby will be gone and he would have his boyfriend all to himself.  “Now go save my ears from that baby’s cry.”

Blaine kissed him one last time before heading towards the door. “I’ll be back soon.”

The baby was sleeping when Blaine left her. He didn’t see a reason why the baby would cry all of a sudden.

“What’s the matter, Princess?” Blaine cooed as he picked her up. The baby was slowly turning red from crying. “Are you hungry again?”

He moved towards the counter where her bottles were placed. He quickly grabbed one and gave it to the baby. The baby was still crying and was ignoring the bottle. “Not hungry? Okay.”

Blaine rocked the baby back and forth hoping that it will soothe her. After a few minutes he realized that it wasn’t doing anything at all. So he did what he does best: seek advice from youtube. He tried to set the baby down but she only cried harder. He sat down on the couch holding the baby as he quickly typed “How to stop a baby from crying”. He saw a video of a Siberian husky howling to make a baby stop crying. But where in the hell will he find a dog at this hour? He scrolled some more and found a video about a soothing baby massage.  He watched it and carefully studied the woman’s technique. As he lifted the baby in a superman position, the bedroom door opened.

“What are you doing?” Kurt said alarmed. The baby was still crying and looked wildly uncomfortable.

“I’m just trying to soothe her with a massage.” Blaine explained. “I saw this video on . .”

“Youtube. Yes, I had a feeling that you might do that.” Kurt interrupted. “Aren’t you going to bed anytime soon?”

“I’ll just make her sleep first. You go ahead. You still have classes tomorrow.” Blaine said as he started massaging the baby. The massage did nothing for the crying tot.

“It looks like your method isn’t working.” Kurt frowned. “I’ll sleep now, okay? Don’t stay up too late.” He said as he gave Blaine a good night kiss. “Goodnight.”

“Goodnight.” Blaine replied. He continued on rocking the baby back and forth but it still wasn’t working. “What am I going to do with you?”

Kurt woke up to his alarm’s violent beep. He moved to Blaine’s side of the bed to snuggle him before getting up but all that welcomed him was an empty bed. Blaine must have stayed up all night. He got out of bed and did his morning rituals. As he went out of their room, he saw his boyfriend lying on blankets lined with pillows with the baby on his side. It looked like a baby fort. They both looked so peaceful. Kurt decided to give his boyfriend and the baby a couple more hours of shut eye after their obviously tiresome night. He set Blaine’s phone alarm at 8 am and left a note on the door before he left.

After a few hours, Blaine felt someone tugging on his sleeve. He ignored it for a few times before grumbling “Five more minutes, mom.” He buried his head on the pillow again. He heard a few giggles then the tugging continued. Why can’t his mom just leave him alone? It was a Saturday. He deserves his rest.

“Mom, I said five minutes. Please?” Blaine said barely inaudible as he said it to his pillow. He heard giggles again. Wait a minute, his mom didn’t giggle like that. He cracked one eye open and saw the baby staring at him.

“Baby!” He shouted; surprised by the little one’s presence. It took him a few more seconds before his senses went back to reality. Right, he found a baby. A baby that he was supposed to bring to Child Services before noon. What time is it anyway?

He checked his watch and saw that it was 11:30 already. Crap.

Blaine stood up and quickly arranged the baby bag. He stuffed everything in it as fast as he could. He was running around their apartment like a mad man; toothbrush on his mouth skipping as he looked for his other shoe. He grabbed the baby bag and the baby carriage before heading out the door.

“Phone, check. Keys, check. Wallet, check. Baby bag, check. Everything’s here.” Blaine checked.

“Time to go out, baby.” He said as he turned to see the baby on the carriage. Only thing was, the baby wasn’t there. He turned around and saw the baby on the exact same spot where he last saw her: on the blankets. He remembered to grab everything except for the baby. Very classy Anderson, he thought to himself.

“Come on. We’re going to be late.” Blaine said as he picked the baby up. He ran down straight to the curb and hailed a cab as quickly as he could. The odds were simply against him today. The traffic was bad. It took them a while to get to the Child Services office. He was so eager to get out of the cab that he almost forgot to pay the driver.

“Sorry!” He shouted as he rushed inside the building. He was supposed to get to the fifth floor according to the secretary in the lobby. He only had 5 minutes and the elevator was still on the ninth floor. He decided to take the stairs instead. Running on an empty stomach was not a good idea at all. He was starting to feel nauseous.

They finally reach the fifth floor. Relief was slowly coming to him until it was abruptly stopped by the sight of the “Closed” sign on the door.

“Crap.”

End Notes: I don't know how Child Services actually work so I'm just going on my instincts here. This one's for Kristina who just went back to school. Winter break's over, girl. Time to suffer like the rest of us ;)
