Kurt had zero desire to go to school on Monday. Since his Carol found no reason medically for him to stay home, she deemed his attendance mandatory. So, fueled by regret, Kurt got out of bed and prepared himself for the day.

After his rigorous preparations, he sulked downstairs and into the kitchen. He was surprised to find Finn siting at the table chewing on a piece of toast.

"Don't you have to get Blaine? You should've left sooner or you guys will be late." Kurt informed his stepbrother.

"No, he called and said he didn't need a ride." As Finn said this, Kurt's self-loathing intensified. Blaine didn't even want to be near Finn anymore. Would he skip Glee club, too? Maybe, Blaine would find a way to avoid everything remotely connected to Kurt. Did that include school, too? Finn watched as his brother cycled through these thoughts. "Kate is probably taking him." Finn offered as consolation. Seeing his attempts were in vain, he quickly added, "or his mom. Yeah. Yeah, his mom has been super protective of him. Like, she doesn't wanna lose him again. It's not you or anything." Kurt nodded slowly, not at all comforted. He grabbed an apple, before heading out to his car.

Climbing out of the old Mercedes his dad allowed him to drive to school, Blaine's eyes immediately found Kurt. He swallowed the lump in his throat. He was doing this, he had to. And why was he so nervous anyways? Kurt clearly still loves him and would overthemoon to know that Blaine still remembers their love. So, checking his pocket to make sure it was still there, Blajne headed towards the beautiful boy.

"Hey, Kurt! Wait up!" Blaine called. Even though Kurt recognized the voice, he couldn't help but turn just to make sure. There he was, handsome as ever. He was dressed in his favorite red pants, with a white polo and and a red bowtie. Kurt also noticed his beard was gone and his hair was once again slicked back in a helmet of gel. But, something in Kurt, maybe his regret fuel, made him turn away from Blaine with disinterest. He was trying his best to be mad at Blaine, he just wanted to get over him. "Kurt, please wait." Blaine whined, jogging to catch up. This was not what he anticipated. "Hey, look I'm sorry for- for what happened yesterday, okay?" Blaine said, now struggling to keep up with Kurt's long strides.

"What do you have to be sorry about?" Kurt snapped.

"You know.. How I reacted to..yeah." Blaine sheepishly answered.

"That was a rhetorical question, Blaine. I know why you're sorry. And while we're on the topic, you could've reacted to worse, so just forget about it." Kurt said, before trying to escape the small boy, whom he realized was impossible to get over.

"Good." Blaine said, staying in step with Kurt. "Gum?" He asked.

Kurt looked at him as if he was insane. "No, thank you."

"Come on, it's Wrigley's, your favorite."

Kurt stopped to consider this. "Only because it's Wrigley's." Kurt put the gum into his mouth, before doing a double take on Blaine, who was grinning massively. "How did you know that was my favorite?" Kurt asked, eyeborw arched and hip jutted, skeptically.

This was the question Blaine had been anticipating. After the kiss, he went home and locked himself in his room. The rest of his night was spent looking through anything he could find about his past, especially Kurt. Even his dreams were full of memories; from his Dalton days, to McKinely, to the night of the wreck. Everything was coming back, one blurry thought at a time.

Blaine's brilliant grin grew wider. "You don't..." Kurt started.

"Oh, but I do." Blaine finished. "How could I forget my beautiful, Gaga singing, Vogue loving, damaged but sexy as hell, Broadway-bound boyfriend?" Blaine was stepping closer, until the two boys' toes were touching. He lifted himself off his heels, to get his lips closer to Kurt's. Swallowing his gum, Kurt closed the gap between their lips. Both boys relished in the touch, missing the feeling of their lips pressed together and the taste of each other. "I love you." Blaine whispered, pulling away from the kiss.

"I love you, too." Kurt said, grabbing his hand. "Come on, homeroom starts soon." The two boys walked to homeroom, hand in hand. The way it should be.
