“Blaine… Blaine are you seriously going to throw up,” Kurt asked, concern coloring his tone as he removed his hands from the wheel in front of him. Their teacup slowed down marginally, though continued to spin around the circle, whirling in time to the music.
Blaine shook his head defiantly, clamping his lips shut and holding both hands firmly over his mouth.
“Just not on my shoes,” Kurt said, raising his voice to be heard over the music as he lifted his knees up to his chest, putting his boots out of harms reach. “Not on my shoes, okay?”
Blaine nodded, the relief evident on his face as the song came to an end and the teacup jerked to a stop. He stood quickly, unlatching the door of their teacup and taking off for the nearest bathroom before Kurt could get out of his seat.
By the time he’d moved through the crowds and reached the men’s room, Blaine was exiting the stall and walking towards the sinks, slightly paler than usual and with a light sheen of sweat on his forehead. ”I can’t believe I got sick on a children’s ride,” Blaine moaned, turning the faucet on and splashing the cool water over his flushed face.
“To be fair, we got it spinning pretty fast… But I did tell you not to eat that second hot dog.” Blaine laughed, drying his hands on his pants as he turned to face Kurt, an apologetic look on his face.
“How do you feel,” Kurt asked, stepping forward to rest his palm on Blaine’s still slightly clammy cheek. “Do you want to go back to the hotel?”
“No! No way, I’m fine now,” Blaine said, not missing Kurt’s doubtful stare. “I am, seriously. I feel fine. Just needed to get it out of my system, I guess.”
“Well, if you’re sure…” Kurt said uncertainly, eyeing his boyfriend closely as the color slowly returned to his face. “We’ll stay, but no more rides for at least an hour.”
”But Kurt, you promised,” Blaine whined, crossing his arms like a child. Kurt burst into a fit of giggles and Blaine joined him soon after, not being able to fake a temper tantrum when Kurt was laughing like that.
”I’m sorry,” Kurt says, finally stopping his laughter long enough to speak. “What can I do to make it up to you?”
Blaine looked around the bathroom, checking to make sure they were alone before answering Kurt’s question. “Kiss me.”
”Kiss you,” Kurt repeated, horrified. “But you just… but you… oh my god!”
Blaine stuck his lower lip out, pouting as Kurt glanced back and forth between him and the toilet stalls, the disgust still evident on his face.
”Fine, fine. Will this help,” Blaine asked, pulling a miniature bottle of Scope mouthwash from his back pocket and taking a large swig.
”You brought mouthwash… to Disney World,” Kurt asked incredulously, washing as Blaine gargled the liquid before spitting into the sink. The strong smell of mint filled Kurt’s nose as Blaine stepped closer to him.
”Of course I did,” Blaine answered, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. The realization dawned on Kurt, his eyes opening wide as he looked at his boyfriend.
”This is not the first time you’ve gotten sick on a children’s ride, is it Blaine?” Kut poked Blaine’s shoulder with an accusatory finger. “Spill!”
”Fine, okay. On my 10th birthday my mom took me to the zoo and let me ride the carousel. I picked the tallest horse they had and…”
“A carousel…” Kurt interrupted. “Those things go like two miles an hour!”
“They go up and down too, Kurt,” Blaine pointed out, his voice adopting a somewhat huffy tone. “Anyways, I didn’t even make it a minute into the ride before I… well, you know.” Blaine shook his head, completely mortified by the memory as Kurt tried to stifle his laughter for the second time in the past two minutes. “Will you kiss me now?”
Kurt considered it for a moment, studying his boyfriend, who was still pouting over the carousel debacle. ”Okay,” Kurt agreed. “I think you’ve earned it.”
Blaine leaned in eagerly, their lips pressing together for one sweet moment before they heard the bathroom door open. They pulled apart reluctantly, Kurt giving Blaine a sad smile before they exited the bathroom together.
”That kiss means you agreed, by the way.” Blaine glanced over at Kurt in confusion, stopping at the end of a line of tourists waiting to buy $6 water bottles.
“To my no-rides rule,” Kurt clarified.
“Fine,” Blaine agreed, turning to grin at Kurt. ” I have a feeling we’ll do plenty of riding back at the hotel.” With that he sauntered off, shaking his hips as he walked and leaving Kurt staring dumbfounded, his mouth hanging open.
Kurt glanced around quickly, checking to see if anyone had heard before catching up with Blaine and pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. He leaned in closer, his lips brushing against Blaine’s ear before responding with a laugh.
”Only if you wear those Mickey ears.”
