The next morning Kurt winced as he walked into the bathroom. He washed his face and was surprised at how swollen his face had become from the punches he got. The bruises were still very visible. He made his way into the kitchen when he heard Blaine on the phone

“Im sorry Mark but I cant come in today...or tomorrow. I dont know about the next day. To be honest I dont know when Ill be back. It depends on how Kurt is. Ok....goodbye” Blaine hung up just as he saw Kurt approaching.

“Blaine what was that about?” asked Kurt

“Oh nothing” replied Blaine

“Blaine dont lie to me” said Kurt

“Ok...well...they want me back at work to finish that album. But of course I told them that we would have to delay it.”

“Dont be silly you cant delay it”

“Dont call me silly” said Blaine defensively.

“I didnt mean it like that” snapped Kurt “I just meant you cant keep treating me with kiddy gloves”

“But Kurt I just want to be there for you ad help you”

“I am not a baby and I dont need a babysitter” said Kurt with anger rising in his voice.

“I know that..but..” started Blaine

“But nothing” interrupted Kurt. “Now please just go I need some space”. Kurt stormed into their bedroom.

Blaine paced around their apartment wondering if she should go into Kurt. He knew Kurt had asked for space but he hated the thought of Kurt being upset alone.

“Kurt” said Blaine though their bedroom door “I know youre upset. I know you wanted space but I cant leave you like this. Im not going to work so Im here if you want to talk”

Blaines heart broke as he saw Kurt come out visibly shaking with tear stained cheeks.

“Blaine why are you still here after the way I just treated you”

“Because I love you” answered Blaine simply

“I love you too and I dont deserve you”

“Why would you say that” asked Blaine

“Because Im a mess and Im ugly” said Kurt as he wiped away some tears.

“You are not ugly” said Blaine

“But these bruises...on my face are ugly”

“You are beautiful inside and out. The bruises will heal and so will you”

“When Ive got you here. I feel like thats possible” said Kurt

“It is” said Blaine. His heart soared as he saw Kurts beautiful smile for the first time in ages.
