The next week Kurt and Blaine lay in bed together. Blaine watched as his boyfriend was sleeping peacefully. He didnt want to jinx things, but everything felt like it was slowly falling back into place. He carefully slid of the bed, doing his best not to disturb Kurt. He walked to the kitchen and began making pancakes. He felt like they both deserved breakfast in bed, before he had to go to work. He was pouring the oil into the pan when he heard Kurt moan from their room. He approached their bedroom. He saw Kurt toss and turn. Then Kurt shouted “Stop...dont...why are you doing this to me again”. Kurt then woke up with a jolt.

“Blaine...Blaine...I” he struggled to get the words out as he focused on Blaine.

“Kurt, its ok. It was just a dream. Youre here with me. I wont let it happen again” assured Blaine.

“I thought I was past this. I thought that being back at work meant I was ok” said Kurt.

“Maybe you just need more time off work?” suggested Blaine.

“No I cant. They have been so good to me. I just need to shake it off. Once I get in there I will be fine” said Kurt. Blaine knew by Kurts tone that he couldnt persuade him otherwise.

Later that day Blaines phone rang “Hello is this Blaine Anderson?”

“Yes it is. Who may I ask is this?”

“This is Officer Alan. Im here with Kurt Hummel. I believe you know him”

“Yes...hes my boyfriend. Whats wrong?” asked Blaine anxiously.

“Hes preventing the weekly clean up on Grange Road...” started Alan.

“What do you mean?” asked Blaine.

“Well...he has sat himself down on the pavement and he refuses to move. The cleaning truck cant get by. We have asked him to move but he wont. He gave us your number. Blaine if he doesnt move soon, we will have to physically remove him. If we have to do that then he could face a fine”

“No...dont do that. I will be there in 10 minutes. Please dont do anything” begged Blaine.

Blaine got there as fast as he possibly could. He saw that a crowd had gathered at this stage.

“Excuse me please...I need to get through...excuse me” he said as he pushed his way through the crowd.

As Blaine approached Kurt an officer tried to stop him “Sorry sir, we cant let you push through”

“But I need to speak to him. Hes my boyfriend. Please just let me talk to him” Blaine was grateful as the officer stepped aside. Blaine saw Kurt sitting on the ground. He was holding his knees and shaking. Blaines heart broke at how vulnerable Kurt looked.

“Kurt...sweetheart...Im here” said Blaine as he slowly walked towards Kurt.

Tears crashed down from Kurts eyes “Blaine...I cant cope. I cant get over this. No matter what I do...this place never leaves me. The memories of this place are always with me. Its always there in the back of my mind. I have tried to get away from here, but I cant. Im stuck here”

Blaine sat down in front of Kurt and gently took his hands “Well then Ill be stuck here with you”

“What?” asked Kurt confused.

“If youre stuck here, then I will be right beside you”. Time appeared to stand still as the two men embraced each other. Eventually Blaine spoke “Kurt, this place wont always haunt you. I will stay here as long as you need me to. But I do have a favour to ask you, when you feel ready take my hand and we will go back to our apartment. Then we will talk.”

Blaine could see that Kurt was really listening “Kurt theres one other thing. I will do everything I can to help you. But I think you need to see a therapist”. Kurt knew that Blaine was right. He knew he needed professional help. He cried into Blaines shoulder as he whispered “Ok”. Kurt looked into Blaines eyes and saw that they were filled with love. He decided he owed it to himself and Blaine to be brave. He took Blaines hand and led him away from the crowd.
