"Kurt!" Burt Hummel called from the kitchen, as he began to stuff the large turkey. "Are you free?"

"Yes Dad." Kurt called as he danced around the living room with Finn, moving to the pace of the Christmas song on the stereo. Of course Finn was tripping over his own feet but still enjoying it all the same. They twirled together one last time before Finn collapsed on the sofa laughing and Kurt decided to pay proper attention to his father.

"I heard the doorbell, it could be carol singers. Grab some money out my wallet on the side."

"Alright, i'll go in a sec!" he called, grabbing a large cream wooly jumper, with a large turtle neck and snowflakes knitted in grey around the collar and sleeves.

"I'm going upstairs to tidy up my room before Rachel comes over," Finn muttered to Kurt as he followed Kurt out into the hallway. "Did you call him?"

"Yes, several times. He never picked up, clearly he didnt want to talk to me."

"Sorry dude." Finn patted his back before making his way up the stairs.

"How much money would be appropriate Dad?" The doorbell rang loudly again. "Nevermind!".

"Hey you."

Kurt couldnt help but gawk, at the boy leaning casually against the wall outside and smiling perfectly at him. "Is that offer still open for Christmas?"

"Blaine, what are you-?" But before he could finish Blaine had flung himself onto Kurt wrapping his arms around his neck, burying his face into Kurts jumper.

Kurt was trying to hold himself together but it was proving difficult when his knees felt like they are about to give way as the love of his life was clinging to him, overwhelmed after weeks of cold nothing, he was suddenly surround by his perfection again. The smell of his hair, the feel of his skin, his breath, his face, his body.

"I've missed you so much." He began to mumble into Kurts neck. "I'm so sorry, i'm so so sorry, please forgive me. I just didnt know what to do, I-"

"-stop." Kurt stepped away, gripping Blaines forearms and forcing him back, holding him at arms length. He could feel tears threatning to fall and cursed himself mentally for feeling so weak. "Now, hey, look at me Blaine. No, look at me." He lifted Blaines chin with his finger and blue eyes met hazel. "Stop apologising, its okay. We dont need to talk about it now, we can talk about it later. I... I'm just, my god i'm so glad your here."

"Kurt, whats going on?" Burts voice boomed through from the kitchen.

"Just... Hang on Dad, i'll be in soon." He turned back to Blaine. "I thought you were in Texas at your Aunts and Uncles?"

"I was. We went there the day after we broke up from Dalton but I had to come back and see you. I needed to see you, I know I didnt text, I thought you didnt want to see me because of how I acted, I thought you'd want space but I couldnt face another day of not seeing you. I've missed you Kurt, so much. Your smile, the smell of your hair, your laugh, everything. I... hey, please dont cry." Blaine whispered, stepping toward Kurt and reaching to wipe away his tears with the pad of his thumb.

"Its been awful, I really missed you too." Kurt sniffled, his hand wrapping around Blaines wrist, his hand now cupping Kurts face. "And how dare you outdress me like that!" He eyed Blaine in his tight black skinny jeans matching his, a red oxford shirt, black suspenders decorated with snowmen.

Blaine laughed softly. "C'mon Kurt, I could never, ever outdress you."

Kurt moved forward, pressing his body against Blaines, sliding his arms around his waist, pulling him into a hug. "You really came back for me?"

"Of course I did. I missed you so much it hurt."

After several minutes of holding the boy he loved Kurt pulled back but only enough to press their foreheads together. "Never stay away from me for that long ever again okay?"

Hazel eyes met searing blue. "I wont Kurt, not if I cant help it."

"Promise?"

Blaine pressed a soft kiss to his forehead. "I promise Kurt, I promise."

Kurt held out his hand for Blaine to take, entwining their fingers together. "Lets go in, I know everyone will be pleased to see you."

"Hey Blaine, glad you could make it today. Merry Christmas kid!" Burt called to him as he saw the boys enter the living room.

"Merry Christmas to you too Mr Hummel and thanks for inviting me over."

"No problem kiddo. I'm just preparing lunch, it'll be all finished and cooked in about 2 hours or so but we'll heat yours up because I know you'll be late back." Burt chuckled shaking his head at Kurt. "I know Kurt wont mind will you kid? Now hes older he doesnt really like sitting with us for dinner, neither does Finn. Grab yourself anything you want from the fridge and there are some presants for you under the tree Blaine."

"Presants? I didnt even expect... thankyou so much! Kurt, i've got presants!" Blaine grinned at Burt but Kurt was too distracted to noticed. He looked from his Dad to Blaine.

"Late back? What? Are we going somewhere?" .

"Are you ready for an adventure? You'll need your coat." He grabbed Kurts hand and they set out for the car. "See you later Mr Hummel!"

"See you later boys!"

"Seriously Blaine, where are you taking me?" Kurt asked as he glanced out the car window again and realised they were definatley not in Lima anymore. He was very fustrated, he hated suprises.

Blaine, one hand on the wheel, reached over and took Kurts hand in his, resting his arm on the compartment inbetween them. "Dont worry, i've spoken to your Dad about it all, its fine. I rang him yesterday before I set out."

"We're in Westerville arent we? You better not be taking me to Dalton or something or I swear Blaine!"

After about half and hour they pulled up outside a rather shabby looking building. "Trust me, it looks alot better on the inside." Blaine reasured him as they pushed through the double doors and began towards the stairs. "I know theres a lift but I love taking the stairs!" Blaine sounded like an excited puppy. "We need to be on floor 9!"

"What?!"

Very out of breath, they reached a dark corridor and heard the Warblers version of Raise Your Glass blasting from Blaines phone. When they had recorded it before regionals they had only done so for fun but after hearing it they decided to make it one of their songs for regionals. "Hello? Yes, we're here. Everything up? Awesome! Third on the left, I know, i've been here before!"

Kurt rolled his eyes. "Really, that ringtone?"

"I'm sorry, Mr 'I only have the lastest Gaga song as my ringtone', I thought we were totally awesome and very ringtone worthy." He grinned. "Now, just..." he began to walk, counting the doors. "Here! C'mere." He stopped and beckoned Kurt towards him before rumaging in his coat pocket. "Hold out your hand."

"Blaine, what are you even-?"

"Ta da!" Smiling, he pressed a silver key into Kurts palm.

"A key?"

"Merry Chrismas! The door is actually open but still... Its the thought that counts right?"

His hand on the handle, he pushed the door slowly.

"They're here! Jeff c'mere"

"What did you say Nick? I was... oh hey guys!"

"Merry Christmas!" Blaine and Kurt were both welcomed in with a hug.

Kurt turned to Blaine, hand on his hip. "You got me Jeff and Nick for Christmas?"

"No silly. Think about the key. Its yours."

"Wait, you got me a... no you couldnt have... you got me an apartment?"

"Well, its our apartment. Yours, Nicks, Jeffs and mine. They were saying how they're struggling to pay the rent with just two of them and I thought if we were all together it would lessen everyones share and we're about a ten minute drive from Dalton. I spoke to your Dad about it this the other day and he's all for it. We'll have to share a bedroom but its huge and... well."

"Blaine, this is amazing! I cant believe this, I cant believe you!" Kurt wrapped his arms around his waist, nuzzling his face into his collar. "You're amazing."

Kurt and Blaine spent the afternoon with Nick and Jeff before heading home to stuff themselves with Christmas dinner and after Blaine opened his presants, vouchers from Finn for one of his favourite clothes shops and getting chocolates and a few cds from Burt and Carole,(the cd's he loved, clearly chosen by Kurt)the pair sat on the sofa watching the Grinch. Well, Blaine was pretending to be interested as he watched Kurt.

"What?" Kurt noticed Blaines eyes on him. He took his arms of his lap and swung Blaines legs up, resting them across his knees.

"Can we talk?" Blaine asked.

"I cant concerntrate on this while you're watching me anyway, so why not?" Kurt teased, smiling at him and running his hands over the tops of his jean-clad thys and knees.

"Do you remember that night when I was telling you that stuff about how you make everything more worthwhile and-"

"Yes." Kurt cut across him, knowing he felt slightly uncomfortable, trying to save him from too much embarrassment.

"Well, when I was telling you that, with every word I realised... I realised I-"

"-Boys," Burt popped his head round the door, "i'm just going to the neighbours, they need some help with shoveling snow so they can get out the drive, i'll be back soon."

"'Mm'kay Dad."

Blaine sighed loudly. "Why does this always happen?"

Kurt turned his head, eyeing Blaine suspiciously. "What?"

"Every time I try and tell you how I feel, something always gets in the way."

"H-how you f-feel?" Kurt stammered, heart pounding in is chest.

Blaine slid his legs off Kurts lap and slithered to the floor, kneeling infront of him. "Look at me Kurt Hummel. Ive been trying to tell you for weeks now and everytime I tried something got in the way, like a bad omen or something. I need you Kurt. I need you like I need air to live." He reached up and placed his hand on Kurts cheek, tracing his fingers down the contours of his jaw then leaned forward to rest his head in the crook of his neck.

"It was so confusing because one moment i'm there with my best friend and everything is normal, then in the space of a few seconds, bam! I realise just how in love with you I truley am and how sure of it I am and it scared me to death. It scared me how I didnt see it before, how if I told you and you felt differently, it would ruin our friendship and if you didnt... well I just thought of Karofsky, people like him. I couldnt bare it if people made your life a living hell, especially because of me."

Kurt was sure his heart had stopped beating. He was listning to this boy, this wonderful boy tell him that he loved him. This wasnt right. It wasnt real, surely?

"But then Nick told me how we'd get through stuff like that together if it happend," Blaine continued, "but its about being with the person I love. I was so stupid but thats why I was just so messed up, because I cant live without you Kurt, whether your just a friend or... Well. They cant hurt us and if someone tries I know that i'll protect you now because if anything happened to you... I love you Kurt." Blaine breathed onto his neck, his lips ghosting over soft porcelin skin. "More than anything."

"Kiss me."

Blaine pulled back, "Wh-?"

He was cut off by Kurts lips crashing against his. He hesitated for a second, shocked, then kissed him back forcefully, wrapping his arms round Kurts neck, his hand tangling in his soft brown hair. "I love you too Blaine." Kurt whispered onto his lips. "So much."

Then Blaines mouth covered his again, pressing gentle kisses to soft lips as Kurt slid down to straddle Blaines lap.

"Why... Didnt... You... Just... Tell... Me... This... Before... We... Could... Have... Been... Doing... This... Ages... Ago." Kurt managed to say inbetween heated kisses, his hands twisting around Blaines collar and pulling him forward, slamming their bodies together. The force caused them to topple backwards and Blaine landed ontop of Kurt, his arms at either side of Kurt's head.

"Oops." Kurt mumbled, finding Blaines lips immediatley, arms snaking around his neck.

"Kurt." Blaine moaned as Kurt's tounge glided over his bottom lip.

"Woah!"

"Oh my!"

Kurt and Blaine both jumped and Blaine ended up sliding off of Kurt who sat up like a shot and ended up banging his head on the coffee table behind him. Finn and Rachel were stood in the door way, hand in hand sniggering.

"Finn, Rachel!" Kurt squeaked, his cheeks bright red. "I was just, um..."

"Making out with Blaine?" Finn offered. "Er, yes that."

"Well abloody time." Finn muttered. "And hello Blaine, Merry Christmas!"

Blaine didnt even have time to say hello because Kurt was up and pulling him out the room and up the stairs murmuring profanities in embarrassment as he went.

Finn smirked, leaning down to press a light kiss to Rachels lips. "You owe me fifty bucks."
