Author's Notes: Ugh. This took forever to come up with, and it's not even as semi-good as I'd hoped. Review if you'd like, I always appreciate it! :D

Blaine was forced to stay in the hospital for a few more days, but once he was released, Kurt was there everyday to take care of him. Luckily for him, the rehearsal times had changed, and he could go over to Blaine's during the evenings. He made sure he was fed and bathed — which was a bit awkward for the both of them — and he even made sure Mowgli was okay since Blaine couldn't feed or take care of him himself at the moment. As soon as Blaine was in bed, Kurt had to leave. He didn't want to leave him, but he knew he had to — and either Wes or David would be there in the mornings and afternoons to check on him.

Kurt was lying in bed one night, trying to fall asleep, but he was wide-awake, his mind filled with thoughts of Blaine. Why was it so awkward for him to be around Blaine? He got so nervous around him lately, and his face turned scarlet when he had to help Blaine into the bath. Sure, that would be an uncomfortable task for anyone, but for Kurt, just being around him in general was awkward. He stumbled over his words and he was being all touchy-feely without even realizing it.

Just face it, Hummel. You like him. But he couldn't do it, he wasn't able to own up to the fact that he was falling for Blaine. Because he couldn't. There was so much going on in his life, and he just couldn't deal with liking anyone. It would be too much — or so that's what he was telling himself. Part of why he was acting like this is because of the trust thing; he'd trusted guys before, he trusted them thinking he wouldn't get hurt, but it all backfired on him. He was also afraid that if he and Blaine were to ever start dating, that something would go wrong and he would lose him all together. And that was one thing he didn't want. And besides, Blaine definitely couldn't handle being in a relationship right now anyway, so he just pushed all of the feelings he had aside.

Rachel made sure Kurt was long gone before calling over Wes. They'd talked a few times, sharing ideas of how to get Kurt and Blaine together. Once they came up with something, they went right to planning, which was the reason for Wes coming over after Kurt left. When he showed up, Rachel let him inside and they went right to planning.

On his way to rehearsals, Kurt couldn't help but wonder what Blaine had said to his friends. He also couldn't help but wonder what they thought of him. Sure, they didn't even really know him, but he just hoped they didn't look down on him for his job, or accuse him of being the reason Blaine had broken up with Sebastian, and he prayed to Gaga that Blaine would explain everything to them, and that they wouldn't have another run-in anytime in the near future.

He stopped at Starbucks for a much needed caffeine fix before continuing off to rehearsals. He was supposed to be going his lines with his co-star, Arielle, but he was stopped by someone calling his name. He inwardly groaned when he spun around and recognized the man running over to him. He was tall and buff with auburn hair and brown eyes. The total opposite of Kurt's type. He wanted to so badly make a run for it, but he knew he couldn't do that. And especially not when he felt the tap on his shoulder.

"Hi, Kurt!" the boy greeted happily.

Kurt rolled his eyes, but the man in front of him didn't seem to notice by the goofy grin taking up most of his face. Kurt re-adjusted his bag over his shoulder and shifted his weight to his other foot. "Hello, Andy," he greeted back, though his tone was bored and uninterested.

The two stood there for a few moments in an awkward silence, Kurt looking irritated, and Andy looking nervous, crossing and uncrossing his arms repeatedly. "Did you want something?" Kurt asked. He didn't mean to say that as snotty as he had, but he really had no patience for this guy and he wanted to get to work.

"Oh! Yeah... right. Um, sorry," he laughed awkwardly, but Kurt still was not amused. "Well, I was wondering, since we get out early tonight... would you want to go get a drink or something?"

Kurt's mind was screaming ABORT, ABORT. RUN AWAY, ABORT. And he half wanted to flee and not turn back, but there was no way he could do that. Not when Andy was standing there expecting an answer from him, and Kurt knew that it would be extremely uncomfortable when they were forced to run-through their dances together later. He closed his eyes and tossed his head back, wishing that he could just disappear.

"I'm sorry, Andy," he started, though he wasn't really as sorry as he made it seem. Or at all. "I'd love to—" Lie. "—but my friend just got out of the hospital, and he really can't take care of himself at the moment. I hope you understand."

Kurt didn't even wait for a reply before he fled to the elevators. He didn't care at the moment that things would be awkward between each other later after that. Maybe he could convince them to let him leave a bit early.

Blaine was lying in bed, a pillow pulled over his face. He wished Kurt — or anyone, really, but mostly Kurt — were here, instead of Wes. Because Blaine knew he was going to hound him about Kurt, and that's exactly what he was doing at the moment. And it was making Blaine uncomfortable. He shouldn't even be, really. He'd already admitted to having a crush on Kurt, so it couldn't make anything worse by admitting that's why he went back to the club. But that's where he was wrong; it could get worse, because he knew Wes was going to tease him about it. He knew his friend was only messing with him, but sometimes he just took it too far.

He was about to start explaining himself, when Wes' phone buzzed and he claimed he had to go. He was saved. Well, for now, at least. But he knew he wasn't off the hook, and that the boy was going to nag him about it later. But at least for now he was saved from the embarrassment and teasing. He popped a movie in and curled up with Mowgli, snacking on a bag of chips as he waited for Kurt to get out of rehearsals. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but he loved it when Kurt texted him when he was leaving, saying that "Doctor Hummel would be there soon".

Kurt fled the building once rehearsals were finally over. The time seemed to pass slower than normal, most likely because he spent most of the session avoiding Andy. He had to practice a scene with him at one point, but luckily the other man made no attempt to confront him after they were finished. He walked outside, letting the cool air hit his face. He sent a text to Blaine, asking if he wanted dinner so as soon as he replied with a 'yes', Kurt set off towards the nearest Chinese restaurant.

Blaine had given him a key to his apartment, since he really couldn't let him inside himself. Now they were sitting in a comfortable silence on Blaine's bed, eating and listening to the noise from the main menu after Blaine's movie had ended. Kurt set his box down when he felt his phone vibrate and he immediately wished he hadn't checked the message. His face turned a deep red at the text and he started spluttering. Blaine made a face and started patting his back to get him to calm down. Kurt glanced at the message again, burying his face in his hands.

What's taking you so long? Are you two fucking?! I don't think that's a very a good idea at the moment, Kurt. ~Rachel

"Hey, are you okay? Kurt? What is it?" asked Blaine, generally concerned. Kurt peeked up at him through his fingers, shaking his head. "Nothing. It was just Rachel. And you know how she is." He wasn't about to tell him what she'd said. There was absolutely no way. Thankfully he didn't push it, and instead flopped backwards onto the many layers of pillows, closing his eyes and sighing in content.

Blaine lifted his head up after a few moments of silence and he was smiling. Kurt knew that look; it was the look Blaine had every time he had an idea, which always turned out horrible. "You should stay the night," he suggested.

Kurt's thoughts flew back to the last time he'd spent the night. They were both drunk and ended up having sex. He knew it was a bad a idea and that something most likely was going to go wrong if he agreed to stay. He shook his head rapidly. "I can't. I really need to get home—"

"Please, Kurt?" he whined. "I'm basically bed-ridden for the next few weeks, the least you could do is make it worth my while."

Kurt finally risked a glance of at Blaine and instantly regretted doing so. He looked like a puppy. His eyes were wide, doe-like and pleading, and he was fluttering his eyelashes against his cheek. If that hadn't broke Kurt down, then it was the way Blaine's bottom lip was jutted out in a pout. "Fine, fine," he muttered, "I'll stay."

Blaine grinned, lifting up his arms and practically pulling Kurt ontop of him, wincing once he did so. Kurt pulled himself up immediately and flung himself to the other side of the bed in horror. He repeatedly asked if he was okay and apologized, but Blaine just waved it off, claiming that he was fine. "Come back over here," he demanded. Kurt nodded and obliged, lying down right next to Blaine. This was okay, wasn't it? Friends were allowed to cuddle... weren't they?

The boys spent the evening watching Disney movies, Blaine of course singing along to every song, and they also stuffed their faces with junk food until they finally fell asleep, wrapped up in each other's arms.

While Kurt was at rehearsals and Blaine was stuck at home, it gave Rachel, Wes, and David (though mostly Rachel and Wes) the opportunity to perfect their plan. They used this time to jot down ideas and make music and food arrangements. In a way, they were kind of glad that Blaine wasn't around to discover their plan. Of course they weren't thrilled about what had happened, they thought it was awful and their next move was to make sure Sebastian got what he deserved for doing that to him, but it gave them the time to make sure their plan didn't backfire. The only thing that was really going to be a challenge was getting the boys to agree to it, without revealing too much information.

Much to Wes' surprise, it didn't take a whole lot to convince Blaine, but Kurt on the other hand was a bit more challenging. Rachel finally got him to agree to it by constantly nagging him about it. She would text him nonstop and as soon as he would walk in the door, she would pounce on him. She was like a broken record, repeating the same thing in his ear over and over again. And Kurt was sick of it after a week, so he broke down and agreed to go.

Wes and Rachel had to make it seem convincing that they were all going to a fancy restaurant for dinner, when in reality it wasn't exactly a restaurant, and it would only be for Kurt and Blaine. Wes was dressed simply; sporting a white button-up and black slacks. Rachel was dressed up a bit more elegantly, and much to everyone's surprise, Kurt actually approved of her choices. Her hair was curled and flowing down her back, and she'd picked out a simple, but sophisticated red dress.

Instead of Blaine's usual outfit of sweater-vests, bowties, and overly-gelled back hair, his hair was only slightly gelled back, and he was wearing a light blue button-up similar to Wes' with black pants. It didn't take long for the three to put outfits together, but it seemed to take forever for Kurt. His hair was perfectly coiffed, as always, but like Blaine he wasn't dressed in any of his usual outfits. He was sporting an Armani suit, which he was excited about actually getting to wear, complete with black, leather loafers with a golden metallic heel from Marc Jacobs. He was satisfied with his outfit, and strutted down the streets of New York confidently with his friends.

When they reached the building, they all filed inside and walked a bit down the hallway, Kurt and Blaine only stopping when their friends stopped abruptly in front of a door with a man standing outside who looked to be guarding the room. The man seemed to recognize Wes and Rachel and nodded once without them having to say anything, and he pulled open the door. Wes and Rachel stepped inside and the boys followed behind them. When the two were completely inside the room, Wes and Rachel stepped out, Rachel yelling "we love you!" before the door slammed shut and clicked, indicating that Kurt and Blaine were locked inside.

The room was beautifully decorated; the walls were a deep red and dimly lit. A small stereo which was playing romantic music and a table with plates of food and a bottle of wine placed ontop were the only things that could be made out in the giant space. Kurt spun around, looking for another way around and he banged his fist on the door once. "Rachel Berry! Let us out right now!"

He could hear both of them laughing outside the room and he grunted in frustration. "They are so dead once we're let out of here," mumbled Kurt.

Blaine only laughed. "Well, we can plot for that later. But while we're trapped in here, why don't we eat? I don't know about you, but I'm starving."

Kurt nodded and followed Blaine over to the table, albeit a bit reluctantly, but all of his previous anger at his best friend disappeared when he saw his favourite food sitting on a plate in front of him. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but he was impressed. Very impressed.

The two ate and drank, holding a gentle conversation. Everything was going great — they were laughing and smiling and stealing glances at one another when they were looking away — until they finished their meal. A man had brought in two slices of cheesecake for dessert, but after that they were just sitting there awkwardly, the only noise being the music playing softly in the background. Blaine wiped his mouth self-consciously, and Kurt was staring into his glass. They both were acting as if they wanted to say something, but no sound would come out when they opened their mouths.

Finally, though hesitantly, Blaine broke the silence. "Do you wanna dance?" Kurt had trouble trying to figure out if he'd really said anything since his words were barely audible. He agreed though and Blaine smiled gently, swiftly stand up and holding his hand out for Kurt to take. The taller boy smiled back and placed his hand in Blaine's. He looked down, not being able to stop smiling at the way their hands seemed to fit perfectly together.

Blaine led them out to the dance floor. He felt kind of nauseous, and he placed his hand shakily on Kurt's waist, hoisting their already linked hands up, swaying slightly. Much to his surprise, things weren't all that awkward, but instead it seemed sort of... natural. They were swaying and twirling and all together having a good time.

Kurt's breath hitched when Blaine leaned in closer, his lips hovering barely an inch over his. He closed his eyes, expecting Blaine's soft lips to collide with his own, but they never did. Instead, when Kurt opened his eyes, Blaine had shifted so that his lips were currently hovering over his ear. Blaine's eyes flickered briefly over towards the door and a mischievous smile took over his face. "So, about that plot..."
