Kurt woke up in the hospital a week later with his leg in a cast and his father at his bed side.

"Oh Kurt" said his dad in a whisper " don't do this to me ever again"

Kurt just looked at his dad and smile but no words came out of his mouth.

It turned out that Kurt had lost his voice but there was no medical explaination for it.The doctor said to Burt in a whisper behind close door that the attack was the cause of that loss and they wanted Kurt to go see a psychiatrist because something was wrong with his son. The doctors were very comprehensive and even angry at Kurt's attacker. But they were the only ones indeed the story of the attack was related in the local presse with the title " We had enough of gays" and the artivle actually stated the Kurt had deserve this attack.At those words Kurt's fater lost it and shouted to the doctor that his son was fine and it was society that was horrible and so unfair towards his son. Although the attackers had sanctions nobody really blamed them for what they had done and decided to blame the innnocent Kurt instead saying that he was " flaunting his gayness in their face". Conversaly this made Burt realise that Kurt was the best thing in his life and that he will protect him no matter what and that why he decided to send the apple of his eyes to a boarding house in New York City. The Dalton Academy for boys had a zero tolerance policy towards bullying and teasing but also had one of the best music program of the country. Burt hoped that the school will not only be a safe haven for Kurt but also a place where he will be able to bloom again.

Let's flash forward to Kurt first day at Dalton. His dad had help him move all his personnal belonging in the dorms. Kurt knew that he had a roomate who was older but hadn't met him yet. After he was settled in Kurt decided to go have dinner in the common room but the school was so big that he got lost. Trying to get back to his dorm Kurt heard music , it was a girl singing and he could hear the sweet sound of guitar.

Kurt was attracted by the music and he walked towards the sound. He picked in the candle light room and there was a girl singing. She had long brown hair and big eyes and even under the eyes of Kurt she was gorgeous. But the boy sitting next to hear playing the guitar was simply breath taking and had dark curly hair and because he had his eyes close, the boy could see that he had the longest eye lashes he had ever seen. The curly haired boy then opened his eyes and looked right at Kurt. After the the attack had never ever looked people in the eyes but this boy had so warm eyes and Kurt could have drowned in this eyes. The moment seemed to last forever. There was electricity in the air. But then song came the a close and the boy broke eye contact with the taller boy.

"Hi there" said the girl with a sweet "are you looking with something?"

Kurt just smiled at her and shook his head.

"Did you cat got you tongue Blue eyes?" said the curly haired boy

Kurt hasn't want to respond to someone more in his life but he just couldn't. So he pulled out the little notepad he always had in his pocket. He wrote Hi I'm Kurt I was just looking for the dining room and since I'm new here I kinda got lost. I'm sorry for disturbing you guys

He gave the notepad to the boy who read what he wrote with confuse eyes but then smile at the boy after reading the message.

"It's very nice to meet you Kurt, my name is Blaine and this is Rachel my sister and I guess you are also my new roomate" said Blaine showing his teeth in a open smile.

At those words the heart of Kurt met a jump. He was going to live the all year with Blaine. Maybe things were turning up for him. The shorter boy seem like a very nice person and couldn't stop staring.

There was a silence in the room and the dark haired boy nodded to her sister and she left the room after kissing him on the cheek and saying to Kurt that she was happy to have met him.

Blaine showed to Kurt were was the dining all and they had dinner together. Blaine didn't seemed to bother by the fact that he was the only one talking and that Kurt mostly with nods and by quick notes on his notepad. In fact, Blaine had a lot to say about Dalton, about New York and about life in general and both boys were feeling womfortable with each other like they were long lost friend that were talking after not seeing each other for a long.
