When they finally arrived in the old castle, where the teenagers were supposed to live for the next couple of weeks, Kurt felt as if he was going to fall over because he was so tired. He barely realized his name beig called out he just realized Blaine's hand wasn't there anymore for a second, but shortly after Blaine was called out and they shared a dorm.
It was the room in the last tower the castle had. Upstairs, right beneath the roof. It was a beautiful room. It was round and had two beds right next to eachother. There was a big round window on the left hand side of the beds. There was a thick fluffy carpet layed out on the ground and a small ladder let upstairs into the attic. Also there was a bathroom of their own because their teacher had said that they would have to walk too far if they had to quickly use the bathroom. Kurt came back from putting all his hair products into the bathroom cupboard and Blaine was gone. Kurt looked around questioning where Blaine might be. He climbed up the ladder to the attic and looked around "Blaine ?" he asked softly into the darkness, not sure if he liked it up there. He could barely make out his own feet on the ground infront of him. "BOOOOHH" Someone screamed behind him and Kurt screamed and fell to the ground. Tears started gathering in his eyes because of the shock. "Oh my god." He whispered. "Are you allright?" Blaine asked. "Yeah, I'm fine thanks." Kurt said. He wasn't mad at Blaine for shocking him. It wasn't Blaine's fault he was a coward. Blaine moved over to where Kurt still sat on the floor. "are you sure? I'm sorry. I shouldn't have scared you like this."
Blaine wrapped his arms around the obviously scared boy. Kurt was literally shaking. Blaine could feel it and held him closer whispering apologies into his ear. He felt something wet against his neck where Kurt had burried his head into his neck.
"Are you crying? Please don't dry, sweetie." Before Blaine realized it the nickname had lipped out of his mouth. Kurt just held him tighter, sobbing now.
It wasn't because of the shock, it was because of the memories that came back with Blaine scaring him.
A dark locker room. Kurt was all alone it was friday night. Prom night. Kurt was crowned junior prom queen that night. He had run out of the gym into the guys locker room. Without turning on the lights he had gone to one of the benches, sat there and cried. He heard nothing but a fauclet dripping. Probably in the bathroom. He sobbed quietly, sure that noone would find him there. "Booh" a voice behind him said. Right next to his right ear. "Aww, did you win prom queen Ms faggy Hummel?" The voice whispered. The guy was uncomfortably close to Kurt now. "What do you want?" Kurt tried to sound strong but his voice was shaking and he couldn't bring himself to speak loudly.
"Kurtie, we both know who is stronger here and who's gonna win that argument." Sebastian said.
Sebastian. The most popular guy at McKinley. Kurt hated him. He was broken because of him and Karofsky. They scared him, punched him, slaped him, and tortured him whenever they could. But Kurt could feel in his bones that this, was going to get so much worse than being pushed into lockers. And Kurt knew why. He felt a sharp blade running along his arm. "Do you feel that? That is what fags like you deserve. Excactly that and nothing else. Pain. Pain. Pain." Sebastian said.
Tears started rolling down Kurt's face.
All he remembered after that was waking up in the hospital with stiches up and down his arms. Apparently Mr. Shue had found him and brought him there.
Kurt sobbed and grabbed Blaine's T-shirt tightly not letting go. Even though he might make a complete fool out of himself he couldn't bring himself to care. He was scared. Scared of Sebastian, scared of people, scared of life. Blaine was helpless, he hated himself for playing that stupid prank on his cute roomate. "I'm sorry." he whispered over and over again. "It's not your fault, don't apologize."
"But I scared you." Blaine was confused. "C'mon lets go downstairs. It's more comfy there anyway." He added.
Kurt sat on the bed tears streaming down his face. "I'm sorry for being so whiny, Blaine" he
chocked out through the tears and the sobs that kept coming back.
"Don't apologize. You didn't do anything wrong."
"I'm ruining your shirt by crying into it." Kurt said.
Blaine chuckled and tipped Kurts nose "Only you could think about a damn shirt in this situation."
Kurt smiled and shrugged "I guess so."
"Aww, C'mere." Blaine said hugging Kurt and cuddling him close to his chest. "You're adorable, you know that?"
Kurt looked up. "You think so?"
"Yes I do, otherwise i wouldn't have said it."
"Well, thank you." Kurt said, blushing. He had almost forgotten about how bad he had felt minutes ago. Thanks to Blaine.
Blaine smiled, glad to see Kurt smiling again.
"C'mon, it's time for dinner." Blaine said, releasing Kurt, getting up and extending a hand for the other boy to take.
