Kurt turned serious immediatly.
He felt himself getting sad again and felt tears gathering in the corners of his eyes when he thought about his Mom.
"Hey, don't cry. She is gonna be allright." Blaine said. Taking Kurt's hand as soon as they entered the hospital.
"Uhm, excuse me, Miss?" Cooper said to a nurse who walked past them. "Where can I find Elisabeth Hummel?"
"Are you a relative?" She asked.
"No, I'm not but Kurt is" Cooper said pointing towards Kurt.
Kurt looked down."Then why can't he talk for himself?" said the nurse as soon as she saw Kurt holding hands with Blaine. "Is the gay gen already so far inside of him that he stopped talking. We can put him into treatment if you want us to."
"Okay, listen. He is Mrs Hummel's son so of course he is shocked about her current state. Could you just tell us where he is and stop insulting my boyfriend." Blaine said protectively.
"Yeah I can tell him where he has to go but you will have to wait here cuz there are no people who are not related to the patient allowed."
"Screw this." Kurt finally spoke. "I'm gonna go find her myself, if all the nurses here are homophobes like you are." He walked away, pulling Blaine with him.
"I still got some adrenaline left." Kurt said with a half smile that didn't reach his eyes.
"So hot." Blaine whispered. He didn't realized he said it out loud until Cooper comented that they were in a hospital and Blaine should leave his kinks somewhere else for the time they were there.
Kurt had smiled to himself a little.
After asking several nurses and one doctor they finally found Mrs Hummel's room.
Kurt looked at her through the glass window, tearing up. Blaine didn't say anything, none of them did. He just took Kurt into his arms and kissed his forehead. It broke Cooper's heart to see the young boy who his brother had fallen in love with cry so hard. And he wished he could turn back time.
Cooper knew all of this was partly his fault. He knew it had been his father who had chased the Hummels across the country, to make sure his son wouldn't meet his soulmate.
And Cooper had been so stupid. He had talked to his brother on the phone and knew that Blaine had found his soulmate the minute he heard him talk.
When he talked you could literally hear him smile through the phone. Blaine would tell him how Kurt's head was in his lap and he was the only one allowed to stroke his hair and that he loved him and wanted to fix whatever troubled him. Cooper loved hearing his baby brother so happy but the minute he heard the boy's name he was silent. Kurt Hummel.
The boy his father wanted to see dead for ages.
Cooper talked to Blaine on the phone everyday, but one day his father burst into his room, yelling that Blaine had to find "the little piece of shit" at the other end of the world in England. He told Cooper he would make Kurt get away from Blaine so he could end his life.
Cooper was shocked tried to talk his dad out of it, telling him to think about his son what he would do to him by killing Kurt, but he wouldn't listen the next night he actually kicked Cooper out.
Right now Cooper saw Kurt at his Mom's side never letting go of her hand and he was crying softly, talking to her. He had wanted to be alone with her and Blaine had left. He had gone to the cafeteria and Cooper thought that Blaine and Kurt were inseperatable so he had to go see Blaine now and tell him the truth.
