Author's Notes:

Im sorry that my updates have turned into a once a week thing. I think its because I know were down to the last few chapters and Im stretching my time on this story because Im not ready to let it go yet.  That being said, I should try harder because I feel bad for making you guys wait. Ill try to have something up before next Friday but I cant make promises.

Speaking of Fridays, can you believe that Glee finale last week? My emotions were impossible to handle. It was terrible. But (spoiler alert) I will admit that I did a little happy dance in my head that Rachel was having Kurt and Blaines baby. I mean, I saw the three of them standing there and I was like "oh look, its my fanfic." :D but anyway, I hope you enjoyed the finale and I hope you continue to have patience with me through these last few chapters. Youve been incredible this far, so thank you.

The coffee shop was fairly empty when Blaine entered the following Monday morning. It was a perfect opportunity to get some studying done. "Thank goodness," he mumbled to himself.

Bella smiled at Blaine when he walked in and said, "Hey stranger! I havent seen much of you lately. Hows my favorite customer?"

Sighing, Blaine placed his backpack on the nearest table and replied, "Ive been so swamped. Between school, the wedding, and the baby. I cant catch a break."

"Woah, I knew it had been a while since we really talked, but I didnt know you and Rachel were getting married and having a baby," Bella grabbed a cup and filled it with coffee. Bringing it to his table, she said, "Now we need to catch up. Whats going on?"

"I guess so," Blaine sat down, shaking his head. "I didnt tell you? Im not with Rachel anymore."

"Why? She seems like such a sweet girl," Bella paused, taking the seat next to him. "Wait, you said baby. Did you get someone else pregnant?"

He really did spend too much time in this coffee shop. Bella had gotten very involved in his life. Blaine laughed, "No, its not like that." He hesitated, before saying, "You know Kurt? The guy Ive sat with multiple times? The one with the perfect hair and - "

"And the gorgeous blue eyes? Yes, hes such a sweetheart," Bella cooed, resting her head on her hands.

"Im engaged to him. Were getting married in a couple weeks and Rachels carrying our baby," Blaine explained, taking a swig from his coffee.

Bellas eyes widened, "Blaine, I didnt know so much could change in a short time. We need to keep up a little better. Thats a lot of change. "

"Ive just been so busy," Blaine shrugged. "I have finals in a couple weeks now too, and Im trying to get as much studying in as I can but its hard. I feel like Im always on the go."

The bell over the shop door rang and Bella stood up, "Yeah, I know the feeling." She rolled her eyes.

Blaine spread out his textbook, a notebook, and a binder across the table. He poured over it and tuned out the world around him. It was so much to take in and he needed all the time he could get.

Until someone tapped on his shoulder and he flinched, causing his pen to slip out of his hand and hit the floor. "Dont do that," he breathed.

"Sorry," Kurt chuckled, picking up his pen and handing it to him. Taking the seat across from him, Kurt informed him, "Rachel said you were coming here for some time to study."

"So you thought youd come bug me?" Blaine questioned, slightly annoyed..

"I know that every time you study, you wish you could be doing anything else," Kurt smiled. "Your exams are a couple weeks away. Dont strain yourself."

"And this is a lot of work. We have the wedding to worry about next week, so I want to get all the time I can this week," Blaine said.

Kurts face fell, "Fair point." He reached across the table and placed his hand on top of Blaines. "When youre done, do you want to go out for a while?"

This was something Kurt had been doing since that day at the Statue Of Liberty. He went out of his way to spend time with Blaine. He knew Blaine was still on edge and it was like he was trying to make up for the trouble he caused with the invitation. It wasnt necessary. Shaking his head, Blaine said, "Ive got a lot of work to do, babe."

"Fine," Kurt let out a loud sigh, resting his chin on his hands.

"Why dont you take Rachel out?" Blaine asked.

At this, Kurt rolled his eyes, "Because she said shes not feeling well. Believe me, I tried. Shes hardly slept in days and she doesnt feel like going anywhere."

"So call Sam," Blaine suggested. Bending over to write something down in his notebook.

Kurt laughed, "Sam and I dont really... hang out unless someone else is involved... you or Mercedes."

"Sams my best friend. If were getting married, youre gonna have to get to know him better," Blaine said, knowing that Kurt hadnt been too close to his friend.

"Or because hes Rachels new roommate," Kurt mumbled, taking a sip of his drink.

Again, Blaines pen clattered to the floor. "Im sorry, what?" he spluttered.

"Rachel told me that after the baby comes, shes moving in with Sam," Kurt shrugged, setting his cup down.

"Just like that? Why?" Blaine looked at him quizzically. He was taking this rather well. How long has he known about this? Was it a big deal or was Blaine over-reacting?

"She needs her space and we do too. I mean, Rachel cant stay with us forever," Kurt told him, stretching his hand across the table to reach Blaines. "I wasnt sure about the idea at first but I think shes right."

"I wouldnt mind having space with just you," Blaine admitted, scooping his pen up off the floor. "If thats whats best for her, then Im happy she made the decision."

"I think shes healing," said Kurt, his eyes fixed on Blaine.

"I think were all healing," Blaine said truthfully, closing his book. He was definitely distracted now. "Look at where we started and how far weve come."

"I wouldnt change it for anything. Im better because of you," Kurt smiled sweetly.

"I feel the same way," Blaine said, packing up his books. He rose from his chair and grabbed Kurts hand. "And because I know that, I trust your judgment... I think you were right about my mom. Im going to give her a call in the next couple days and tell her to come to the wedding."

"Blaine, thats wonderful," Kurt hugged him. "I really mean that."

A warm gratitude spread through Blaine and he gave Kurt a kiss on the cheek. "Come on, lets forget about studying. Id much rather spend my time with you."

"Aw," Kurt squeezed his hand.

"There is something I wanted to talk to you about," Blaine said, seriously, holding the door to the coffee shop open for his fiancé.

"You can always talk to me," Kurt replied, leading him down the sidewalk.

"Do you remember when I said I wasnt sure if I wanted to continue medical school after Savannah left?" Blaines hand twitched nervously.

Kurt gripped it tightly and said soothingly, "Of course I remember... Why? Has all this studying confirmed that you dont want it."

Shaking his head, Blaine said, "No, not after all the work Ive put into it. Id be throwing away a lot of hard work, but I think I know what I want to do."

"Okay," Kurt replied.

"I want to be a musical therapist," Blaine explained. "Ive always wanted to do something musically, but I didnt want to waste what I already put into my studies in med school." He stopped at a crosswalk and glanced at Kurt. "I miss spending time with Savannah and the kids at the hospital."

"I noticed you stopped volunteering when she left," Kurt replied, as they crossed the street.

"It hurts seeing those kids in so much pain and weakness," Blaine said. "But I also once told you that I want to help people and make a difference."

"So you want to help people with music," Kurt pulled his hand and led him over to a wall to get out of the way. Facing him, Kurt took his other hand and said, "Blaine, I think thats a great idea."

"Really?" Blaine asked hopefully. Kurts opinion mattered the most. "I cant think of anything Id rather do. I just... I feel like Im leaving the old Blaine behind. The one that hides in the closet and walks in the shadow of his father... I feel like Im exactly where Im supposed to be."

"Yes, really," Kurt chuckled. "You can live your passion of music and help these kids at the same time. You found what works for you, and that makes me happy."

"I never would have gotten here without you," Blaine said.

Placing his arms around Blaines shoulders, Kurt kissed him deeply. "No, Blaine, youre the one who found the courage to change the path you were on, that silly plan of yours."

"You told me to screw that plan," Blaine pointed out, cupping Kurts cheek, as Kurt leaned in to kiss him again.

"And so you did," Kurt said between kisses.

"What are you doing?" Blajne asked, standing in Rachels doorway.

Bending over her bed, she placed a toothbrush in a duffel bag and said, "Im packing a hospital bag for when I go into labor."

"Smart idea," Blaine nodded, entering the room and sitting on the bed.

"Theres some things for the baby in here too, so dont worry about that," Rachel said, straightening up and grunting.

"I wouldnt know what to pack anyway," Blaine shrugged. He fumbled through her bag, examining the contents. "Do you really need this much stuff?"

"Of course," Rachel hit him with a folded up shirt. "Im only taking the essentials."

"If you say so," Blaine chuckled, knowing that meant she was taking more than she would need. .

"Im serious," Rachel said defensively. "Im going to keep this bag in the living room. That way itll be right there when we need it."

"What if you arent home when you go into labor?" Blaine raised an eyebrow.

"Then eventually, either you or Kurt will have to come here and get it, but Im rarely out of the house anymore," Rachel sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed next to him. "I hate not going anywhere."

"So why dont you go do something nice for yourself? Get out for a while." Blaine told her, "I know Kurt asked you out the other day and you turned him down."

Shaking her head, Rachel said, "Its not that I dont go anywhere. I still have therapy sessions and Ive been spending more time with Sam."

"I heard you were moving out," Blaine said quietly.

Taking his hand, Rachel squeezed it and said, "its for the best, Blaine."

He nodded slowly, "I know." Blaine wrapped his free arm around her waist and pulled her close. "Im just going to miss you."

Resting her head on his shoulder, Rachel said, "Im still going to be around, but I know its not the same. Ill miss seeing you all the time too."

"Ive spent nearly four years of my life with you. Its just going to be weird not having you around all the time," Blaine said.

"I know," Rachel sniffed. "And believe me, Im so grateful for the time we have spent together... Youve given me so much."

"I feel the same way," Blaine said, placing their linked hands on her belly. "Not just the baby and Kurt... You helped get me through medical school and tough times with my parents. We had a good run."

Rachel tilted her head forward to look at him, "Yeah, we did."

"I love you, Rachel Berry," Blaine said quietly, kissing her cheek.

Smiling sadly, Rachel said, "I love you too." She pulled away from him and stood up. Her hands shaking slightly, she reached for something in her dresser. "Um I should finish getting back to packing this bag. I could have this baby any time, you know."

"Are you okay? I mean, honestly," Blaine stood up and followed her. Being so close to her due date, Blaine was worried about Rachel constantly, but he also knew she was still dealing with a lot of emotion.

"Im fine," Rachel replied shortly, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "I just want to get through the next few weeks."

"Sure," Blaine nodded, unconvinced.

"Um what about you?" She asked, changing the subject. "I mean, you and Kurt are okay, right?"

"Yeah, I guess so. The whole deal with my moms still a sore spot, and I think its a little strain for us but Im gonna make it work. Ill call her sooner or later," he shrugged.

"No," Rachel snapped, turning on him.

"No?"

"Call her now. Youre getting married next week. You have to be positive in everything with Kurt and you are not going to get there until you let this go completely," Rachel told him.

"You dont think it has anything to do with my dad?" Blaine asked, watching her move back to the bed and shove her spare phone charger in the bag. "He hurt me too."

"I think you know that your dad is a hopeless cause regardless of what Kurt did," Rachel suggested. "I think youre more overwhelmed that you werent totally rejected by both parents. And its going to bother you until you accept her for accepting you."

"I guess," Blaine said, pulling out his phone. "I think youre right, Rachel. Thanks."

The phone rang four times, before Pams voice came in the speaker. "Hello?"

"Mom," Blaine stated, giving Rachel a thumbs up. He crossed the room and went into his own bedroom. "Can we talk?"

"Of course," Pam said. "Are you all right?"

"No, well, yes but no, I mean... "he stopped, taking a deep breath. "Im really sorry about everything."

"I know you are, honey," she replied. "The fact that you called says so much."

"I want you to come to the wedding," Blaine blurted out.

"Are you sure?" Pam said quietly, her voice shaking. "I dont want you to do anything that -"

"Mom," Blaine cut her off.

"Yes?"

"I wouldnt tell you to come if I didnt want you to," Blaine finished, sitting on the edge of his bed.

"That makes me really happy," Pam choked out. He could tell she was crying.

"Coopers coming in early next week. Will you fly in on Sunday or Monday so the three of us can talk?" Blaine asked nervously.

Silence filled her end of the phone.

"Mom?"

"Cooper wont want to see me," Pam replied. "I dont know if thats a good idea."

"Cant we try?" Blaine asked. "Youre different when youre not with dad."

She hesitated before she said, "Ill be there Monday."

"Great," Blaine nodded. "I will see you then."

"Im really glad you called, Blaine," Pam said quietly.

He nodded, "Me too."

"That would be wonderful!" Kurts voice came from the kitchen. "Yes, absolutely... Okay, thank you... Yeah, see you then."

"Whats going on?" Blaine asked, setting his backpack on the kitchen table.

"Huh? Oh nothing," Kurt set his phone down on the counter.

"Somethings up," Blaine cocked a thick eyebrow. "Was that the agent? Was it the wedding planner?"

"Um..." Kurt hesitated, drumming his fingers on the counter.

"what are you hiding?" Blaine asked, grabbing his waist and pulling him close.

"Im not hiding anything," Kurt tried to bite back a smile.

"So whats wonderful? Why are you smiling?" Blaine pressed. He gently tickled Kurts side.

Jumping, Kurt pushed his hand away, "Blaine, stop!"

Laughing, Blaine continued, "Not until you tell me whats so wonderful."

"No!" Kurt hollered. He pushed Blaine out of the way and ran into the living room. He dodged behind the couch. "Blaine, I dont like being tickled."

"I know. Its on my list of things I know about you," Blaine dashed forward to reach him again.

"Blaine!" Kurt squealed, flipping over the back of the couch. He laid down and put a pillow over his abdomen.

"Like a pillow is going to stop me," Blaine climbed over the back of the couch and straddled his hips. He yanked the pillow from Kurts hands and tossed it behind the couch. He began tickling Kurt again, as his fiancé squirmed underneath him.

"Blaine Devon Anderson, stop it!" Kurt pleaded.

Bending down, Blaine kissed his lips. He pulled back and mumbled, "Is that better?"

"Only if you promise that youre done tickling me," Kurts body tensed.

"Yes, Im done," Blaine kissed him again. He repositioned his body to lay down on top of Kurt with his head rested on Kurts chest. "Are you really not going to tell me what this is about?"

"Its a surprise which means you are not allowed to ask about it anymore," Kurt replied.

"Are you serious or are you trying to get me off your back?" Blaine let out a long sigh.

"Im serious," Kurt chuckled.

They stayed in that position for a long time. Blaine listened to the gentle sound of Kurts heart beat. The feel of his chest rising and falling was calming. He closed his eyes and felt his body relax. He felt so connected to Kurt. He felt so grateful for the heart he was listening to, a heart that fully accepted him for all of his flaws, all of his drama. How had he gotten so lucky to find someone like Kurt?

"Blaine, are you crying?" Kurt asked quietly, after Blaine had started sniffing.

Turning his head to see Kurt, Blaine gazed into his favorite blue eyes and whispered, "I just really love you."

Kurts hand cupped his cheek and his thumb brushed a tear away, "I love you too."

"You really want this, dont you? I mean, the wedding and the baby coming so soon," Blaine asked, his own heart rate increasing. Could he take rejection of Kurt admitted he wasnt ready for the wedding?

"Why do you ask? Are you having second thoughts?" Kurts face fell.

"No, quite the opposite," Blaine said. "Ive never been more sure of anything in my life." He smiled through his tears at the beautiful man before him. "I just want to make sure youre absolutely sure."

A smile spread across Kurts face and he said, "Im absolutely sure that I love you and thats enough for me. I want to start this new journey with you."

Once again, Blaine rested his head on Kurts chest. Kurt began running his fingers through Blaines hair and he started humming softly to a tune Blaine knew to be Come What May from Moulin Rouge.

When Kurts hums reached the end of the chorus, Blaine quietly sang, "I will love you..."

"Until my dying day," Kurt finished.
