Author's Notes:

Hi everyone... anyone? Is anyone still on this website?

i am sooooo sorry for ditching this story. My life was turned upside down and I have had no time to do anything. But I recently started watching Glee and I started thinking about this story. I promised myself that i wouldn't abandon this story and I did. It's now been a year and i'm Sure my original readers are gone. So I may be finishing this story for my own personal goals. But if you are here, I hope this gives you something new to enjoy. And make sure you read Come What May.

here's to new beginnings... or finished endings... or whatever the last thirteen chapters will be.

The Jersey Shore was crowded with teenagers enjoying their freedom from school. Families were building sand castles and others were splashing in the water.

Blaine watched as Belle and Kurt walked toward him with buckets of water. He set his shovel down and scooped up the remaining dirt in his hole with his hand. “Did you get enough?” he asked.

“Yeah,” Belle smiled. Water was pouring out of her tipped bucket as she walked.

Kurt chuckled, “Although I may have to go get more.” He set a bucket next to the hole. “Are you finished?”

“Yeah,” Blaine said, wiping his hands together, trying to brush some of the dirt off his hands.

Belle dumped her bucket into the hole. Some of the water hit the walls, causing it to collapse a little.

“Does the castle really need a mote?” Kurt laughed.

“Should I go get more water?” Belle said, watching the water absorb into the dirt.

“Go ahead, sweetie,” Blaine said, tossing her a bucket. He watched her run toward the water. “She didn't ask you to go with her.”

“No, she didn't,” Kurt kept his gaze on her. “We're not far though.” He watched as Belle scooped water into the bucket and trudged back toward them.

As she was halfway back, Kurt ran toward her. He put his arm around her waist and lifted her off the ground. Taking the bucket from her hand, he dumped the cold water on her head and she screamed. The water ran down both of them and he started laughing.

“I'll get you for that!” Belle hollered. She was set on her feet and she bent down to toss sand at her Dad. Laughing, Belle said, “take that!”

Blaine smiled at the two of them as Kurt retaliated by tossing sand back at her. She started chasing him down the beach. Kurt tripped and Belle tackled him to the ground.

“Ah! Careful. My knee,” Kurt sat up, placing both hands on his knee.

“I'm sorry, I'm sorry,” Belle said quickly, backing away from him.

Stretching out his arms, Kurt said,”It's okay, sweetie. I should've been more careful. Sometimes I forget about it.”

“Me too,” Belle said, slowly walking toward him. Blaine stood up and walked over to them, and sat down beside Kurt. Belle sat on Blaine's lap, wrapping her arm around his neck. “I didn't mean to.”

“It's okay, honey,” Blaine brushed hair out of her face.

“I don't want to play anymore,” Belle said.

“I'm fine, Belle. Let's just go back to the castle,” Kurt said.

Tears came to her eyes and she buried her face in Blaine's chest. “What's wrong?” Blaine asked, rubbing her back.

“I'm always hurting you,” she sniffed. “We were just playing... and daddy you were hurt when you saved me... and everyone's been so sad.”

“It's why we're here, honey,” Kurt said quietly. “We want to just forget all of that for a few days.”

“But I hurt you,” Belle said.

“No,” Kurt shook his head. “I shouldn't have been running. It was bound to happen,” he smiled weakly.

“Honey, let's just relax and try to enjoy ourselves, okay?” Blaine kissed her forehead.

“Can we go swimming now? I'm really dirty and I need to wash off,” Belle climbed off Blaine's lap.

“Sure, we can do that,” Blaine stood up and held out his right hand for Kurt to grab on to and helped pull him to his feet.

“First can we destroy the castle?” Belle asked running toward it.

Blaine followed and stopped in front of it. “But we put so much work into it.”

“Do you want someone else to come along and ruin it?” Belle said.

Blaine shrugged, “Fair point... Giant invasion! Watch out below!” He stepped over the more and kicked down the nearest tower.

“Coming through!” Belle yelled, stomping on the castle.  The two of them stomped across the castle making loud remarks about the tiny people below them. Belle was laughing such a Pure and sweet sound that left Blaine smiling.

“Time for the giants to take a giant bath,” Blaine said, heading toward the water.

“I'll beat you there,” Belle called, running to the water.

Blaine laughed, “I don't mind.”

“Did you brush your teeth?” Blaine sat down on the bed next to Belle.

“Yes,” she said, showing him her teeth. “I'm ready for bed.”

“I would think so,” Kurt said from the other bed. “You've played really hard the last two days.”

“So did you,” Belle laughed.

“I think we all did,” Blaine smiled.

“Do we have to go home tomorrow?” Belle asked sadly. “I like being here with you.”

“We like it too but your dad and I have to get back to work,” Blaine said.

“When will I have to go back to school?” She asked.

Kurt scooted to the end of the bed and said, “School's are out for the summer. Unfortunately, you missed too much this year, so you're going to have to repeat the second grade in the fall.”

“Oh,” Belle said sadly, glancing down at the bed. “I don't like second grade.”

“It'll be different this time. You won't have the same kids in your class you did last time.” Kurt moved over to her bed and sat on the opposite side of her from Blaine. “Maybe you'll make some new friends.”

“And you'll be older than all of them, so you'll be extra smart.” Blaine touched his fingertip to her nose.

“That could be a good thing,” she nodded. “But do I have to take ballet again?”

“You don't like ballet any more?” Kurt asked.

Shaking her head, Belle said, “No, those mean girls kind of ruined that for me. I thought I'd always like it because I thought it'd be cool to do plays like mommy but I don't want to do that now. I was so bored for so long that playing this weekend makes me just want to be a kid.”

“That sounds good to me,” Blaine sighed.

“That's because you are still a kid.” Kurt smiled.

“That gives me advantage to be a tickle monster,” Blaine wiggled his fingers at Belle.

“No!” She shrieked, trying to hide behind Kurt, who did nothing to help her. He started tickling her until they were both teamed against her. Belle's laughter filled the room and it became contagious. Belle wiggled free and tries to tickle Blaine, who jumped from the bed and ran toward the door. “Stop,” he said, as Kurt and Belle approached him. “No,” Blaine dodged into the bathroom and shut the door.

“That's cheating,” Belle banged on the door. “You have to come out.”

“I have to pee,” Blaine said.

“No, you don't. I know that excuse. I use it,” Belle replied. She banged harder on the door.

Opening the bathroom door, Blaine gaped at her and said, “Sometimes I think you're too smart for your own good.”

“And you think I need to repeat the second grade,” she said, placing her hands in her hips.

Kurt and Blaine exchanged smirks,”If we had it our way, you wouldn't but you've missed too much school,” Kurt said, scooping her up I. His arms and placing her back on the bed. “It's time to go to sleep, sweet princess.”

“Okay,” Belle said, nestling herself under the blankets. “I love you.”

“We love you too,” Kurt said, bending over to kiss her.

“And we always will,” Blaine said, giving her a hug and kiss. “Sweet dreams, Annabelle.”

“How was your weekend?” Rachel asked, shutting the door behind them.

“It was great. We had a lot of fun,” Blaine said, giving her a hug. “How was your weekend?”

“It was perfect,” she smiled. “Sam and I drove upstate and stayed at this beautiful hotel. It was quiet and relaxing. We definitely needed some alone time.”

“I'm happy to hear that Mrs. Rachel Berry Evans,” Blaine smiled.

She beamed, “I can't believe I'm actually married. It's so surreal.”

“How's the husband?” Blaine asked. He's so happy. After everything we've been through these last few months, we truly felt happy this weekend. He needed it. We both did,” Rachel told him.

“Same here. It felt good to get away.” Blaine told her. “Belle, I need to take off. Come give me a hug goodbye,” Blaine called.

Moving quickly across the floor, Belle wrapped her arms around him and said, “You'll come back later to get me, right?”

“I  promise. Your dad has to work a little late tonight. A lot's built up since we've been gone. But I'll be here the moment I get off work,” Blaine reassured her. “Have fun with your mom today, okay?”

“We will,” Rachel said, as Belle went and sat on the couch. “She's in good hands.”

“The best. Thanks, Rach. I'll see you later,” Blaine kissed her cheek and took off. Out in the hallway, Blaine dialed Kurt's number and said, “I'm on my way.” He raced toward the subway. Within twenty minutes, he was rushing up the stairs and back into the apartment. He kicked his shoes off and started unbuttoning his shirt.

“You're eager,” Kurt's voice came from the kitchen.

“I didn't tell work we'd be gone until Tuesday for no reason.” Blaine said, tossing his shirt on the ground.

“I made breakfast. I thought we'd enjoy the whole day together,” Kurt replied, setting a pan on the counter.

“We are. I'd just prefer to start it from the bedroom.” Blaine replied.

Holding up a hand to stop him, Kurt said, “No, we're going to do this right. We have the whole day ahead of us and we're starting with a good healthy breakfast.”

“You may have just killed the mood for the rest of the day,” Blaine said.

“We have a lot of ground to cover today. Belle's new bedroom set gets delivered at ten and we need to move her stuff out of the way,” Kurt reminded him.

“Tell me again why we chose to order her new stuff and not just buy new stuff for the baby.” Blaine rolled his eyes. “We could be doing nothing today.”

“We did nothing all weekend,” Kurt reminded him. “The baby won't care if his dresser is eight years old and in perfect condition,” Kurt placed his hands on Blaine's hips and said, “Belle's still struggling a bit with the idea of the baby. It's a lot to take on. I just want her to feel special. Things are going to shift for her and I don't want her to feel like the baby gets everything. This is still a time sensitive issue.”

“Yeah, because we just happen to have news about it right after she disappears,” Blaine nodded, “you're right.”

“I always am. Tell me how I managed to be smarter than the great Doctor Anderson,” Kurt smiled.

“Maybe I just rubbed off on you during the last nine years,” Blaine said, pressing his lips against Kurt's. His right hand found the side of Kurt's face and he felt Kurt lean into his gentle touch.

Kurt's arms found their way around Blaine's waist. He depended the kids and  stopped when Blaine's free hand found his shirt. He met Blaine's eyes. “Nice try,” he pushed Blaine back. “We still have a lot of work to do and my eggs are getting cold.”

“You're boring,” Blaine said, picking his shirt up off the floor.

“No, I just spent a lot of time on making you breakfast and Io want to enjoy it before the movers gets here.”

They worked all morning preparing Belle's new room for her new furniture set. A bed, dresser, nightstand, and desk were all hauled into the apartment. Once everything was positioned, Kurt and Blaine spent the rest of the afternoon placing the rest of Belle's things in place.

“This is perfect. She'll love it,” Kurt said, standing in the doorway to the room.

“I should go get her,” Blaine said, heading toward the front door.

“See you on a bit,” Kurt kissed him.

“Love you,” Blaine called.

“You too,” Kurt replied.

Blaine made his way back toward Sam and Rachel's apartment. When he arrived, he found the three of them seated on the couch. Belle was sleeping in between them with her head on Sam's lap.

“How'd she do today?” Blaine asked.

“She was kind of quiet,” Rachel said. “I think she's just worn out, but we had a good time.”

“Thanks again for everything,” Blaine said. He sat next to Sam and rubbed her back gently, “Belle, it's time to go home.”

Her eyes fluttered open and she smiled at the sight of Blaine. “Finally,” she whispered. She hugged Blaine before crossing the room to put her shoes on.

“See you tomorrow,”. Blaine called on their way out.

Upon entering their own apartment, Blaine said, “So I was wrong about your dad working late today.”

“Is he here?” Belle asked.

“Right here,” Kurt stood in the doorway to her room. “Neither of us went to work today. We prepared a little surprise for you.”

“What?” Belle dished forward. Kurt stepped aside and let her into the room. Belle stopped and stared around, taking in her new bedroom. She stopped in front of her new dresser and froze. “Is this for me?” she asked.

Kneeling next to her, Blaine said, “it's all for you, baby.”

“Why?” She turned to look at Kurt.

@Because we love you and want you to know how special you are. We don't ever want you to forget,” he explained.

“asking you to change rooms was a lot to expect from you after so many other changes. So we wanted to make your new room extra special,” Blaine put his arm around her. “Do you like it?”

“Yes,” Belle replies, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. “You guys are the best dads.”

Blaine met Kurt's state and smiled. He knew from the expression on Kurt's face that they were making progress. Belle still had a long way to go in her recovery process but they were starting to feel like things were improving.
