Kurt walked the halls of the huge school and eventually found his room. His first class was study hall so he decided he would just unpack his things. He opened the door, and his eyes fell to the bed in the corner of the room. The bed itself wasn’t made, and the sheets were a mess, which caused Kurt to sigh and he immediately assumed he was rooming with someone like Finn Hudson, until he saw the Katy Perry poster on the wall and the guitar in the corner. There were some clothes in the corner of the room, but this didn’t really give Kurt an image of what this boy would be like. The pale boy unpacked his things. He didn’t bring any of his expensive stuff, mainly because it reminded him of his mother, and he didn’t really want to wear them. After getting into his uniform, he grabbed his books for his first class.
“Okay English,” Kurt sighed. “I can do this.”
The rest of the day went relatively quickly for Kurt in a blur of people. He got lost more than once, and accidently ended up in a well decorated room full of boys.
“Excuse me,” A shorter man said as Kurt did a three sixty. “Are you looking for the Glee Club?”
“No,” Kurt said quickly. “I’m not really a singer. I am trying to find the study hall.”
The boy gave him the clearest directions he had heard all day. Kurt would have said he was a singer, but he didn’t really feel like singing. That was his and his mother’s thing, and he sure as hell wasn’t ready to sing again. He got to his room that evening and just wanted to sleep. He still didn’t even know who his roommate was, and was changing into his sweat shirt when the door opened. Kurt turned around to the shorter boy who had given him directions earlier.
“I usually wait a bit longer before I am shirtless in front of other boys.” Kurt tried to joke it off.
“Blaine. Blaine Anderson,” He shorter boy shook his hand. “And don’t worry about it.”
“Kurt. Kurt Hummel.” Kurt responded.
“So Kurt,” Blaine sat on his own bed. “Where are you from?”
“Lima,” Kurt sat down on his bed. “It was my first day today.”
“And that’s why you came into the choir room thinking it was the study hall,” Blaine laughed, his eyes falling on Kurt’s Wicked sweatshirt.
“Wicked?” Blaine asked. “Broadway fan?”
“Yeah,” Kurt nodded, still looking at the Katy Perry poster. “Katy Perry?”
“Do you have a problem with her?” Blaine asked.
“No,” Kurt responded quickly. “Katy Perry is really good.”
“Good,” Blaine smiled. “If not there may have a been a problem.”
“Blaine!” They were interrupted by a blonde and a brunette boy. “Harry Potter marathon in five minutes – study hall boy?”
“I’m Kurt.” The pale boy responded quickly.
“You can come as well if you want Kurt.” The brunette said as they walked out of the room.
“Sorry about Nick and Jeff,” Blaine shook his head standing up. “You want to come?”
“I think I might call it night, but say thanks to them.” Kurt responded as Blaine just nodded and shut the door behind him.
